- My friend Ashley is a synchronous soul that I've known for many years. She's a quick wit - and a harbinger of honesty - a dreamer in her own right. We had a great time connecting up all taking in the views, and we laughed a lot. I pondered what it is to be selfless, and she pondered what it is to be the self.

I like the addition of the passengers thoughts in this one. Two that stood out to me:
"commercial flights are waiting rooms"
"4 inch proximity to the person that's keeping me alive"
I also really like how the philosophical thoughts contrast with the practical requirements of landing.
Those 2 comments stuck out to me as well. Beautiful.
"the luxury of air underfoot"
Truly some good lines in there... I edited nothing that was exactly what she gave me.
