The current climate is tethered to the concept that discussion that are about transgender or homosexual or other particular behaviors should be modified. The Canadian Government has put into law their current perspective and penalties for discussions that might be offensive or termed 'Hate Speech'. It is less of the nature of the legal persecution and or protection of a particular social identification but rather of the determination that discussions surrounding a social class and or behaviors could be considered illegal and therefore subject to punishment by the governinbody. The potential progression of the legalization of speech control will most certainly expand. There in is the potential horror for all citizens. Should at some point in time the political body with legislative capabilities move in a different polarizing direction the new legal definition of any speech may and most likely will be redirected all be it incremental, at a progressive ideal. The idea speech should be controlled and monitored is the beginning of the control of freedom of thought and the high probability of behavioral modification that benefits a class or social group rather than all citizens. It is incremental, insidious and extremely dangerous to all citizens when penalties are imposed for speech and ultimately thought and behavior control. Be afraid of this, be very afraid for the next shift in the political control could impose penalties that are greater and perhaps on the opposite side of your own moral compass.

Exactly the same thing happened to me in Canada Post. Different subject but very very similar in many ways. The girl is young, she probably needs the money and right now she is asking herself where the hell does she live and who are those people. How is this even possible?! She will win. I won! But it is the system and I am not sure that people deserve to live in freedom. They are cattle.

This girl is a rock star. I am a female and was kicked out of a University after an ethics-violating professor created false charges against me in a Disciplinary document, after I began to ask questions about her. I also cried (out of bewilderment and confusion) at my hearing with the Dean. I was completely exonerated, but I didn't go back. I never sued...but maybe should have, because the same prof did the same thing to a slew of other students 2 years later, and they all sued.

The current climate is tethered to the concept that discussion that are about transgender or homosexual or other particular behaviors should be modified. The Canadian Government has put into law their current perspective and penalties for discussions that might be offensive or termed 'Hate Speech'.
It is less of the nature of the legal persecution and or protection of a particular social identification but rather of the determination that discussions surrounding a social class and or behaviors could be considered illegal and therefore subject to punishment by the governinbody.
The potential progression of the legalization of speech control will most certainly expand. There in is the potential horror for all citizens.
Should at some point in time the political body with legislative capabilities move in a different polarizing direction the new legal definition of any speech may and most likely will be redirected all be it incremental, at a progressive ideal.
The idea speech should be controlled and monitored is the beginning of the control of freedom of thought and the high probability of behavioral modification that benefits a class or social group rather than all citizens.
It is incremental, insidious and extremely dangerous to all citizens when penalties are imposed for speech and ultimately thought and behavior control.
Be afraid of this, be very afraid for the next shift in the political control could impose penalties that are greater and perhaps on the opposite side of your own moral compass.

The administrators seem to have issue that another universities prominent lecturer's video was shown in their institution and they warped and interpretation of the C-16 amendment/policy to threaten Lindsay's position at their institution if she didn't take a slap on the wrists.
