  • **Please note, I no longer use and cannot recommend Dixie Belle Paint products due to highly questionable business practices, contract violations, and unethical treatment of artists and retailers that led to mine and numerous others resignations in late 2021. Please see the links below for more information. I have chosen to leave this video content up for learning purposes only, but highly recommend considering other products when trying to achieve these same techniques. There are too many good product brands on the market to support a brand with these practices. I've included links to my most used options below

    I'll use some of my favorite finishing products gold gilding wax, black wax, and black glaze to add dimension to this custom blended teal night stand.

    Can you use bees wax to seal chalk paint? And you have your piece sealed,than put the glaze on after?

    Hallo Brandy,
    Lenyűgöző a munkád!😍
    Én egy magyar nő vagyok és Németországban élek. Sajnos nem beszélek angolul. A videó magáért beszél és sokat lehet tanulni belőlük de sajnos néha nekem nagyon gyors ( már mint a beszéd része ) , így a felhasznált színek megértése nagyon nehéz.
    Igazán értékelném ( és itt Európában bizonyára mások is) , ha a leírás részben leírnád a felhasznált anyagok pontos nevét.🙏
    Szemet és lelket melengető munkádhoz kívánok további sok sikert.🤗
    Üdvözlettel , Andrea

      Andrea Varadi;
      Paint colors used: Midnight Sky which is a dark blue black, she used around the outer edges. The next darkest color that she blended into the midnight sky is Palmetto which is a dark green and Antebellum blue is the 3rd darkest color- it’s a deep blueish green color (looking from outward towards the center) the center color is French Linen which looks like a light taupe (light brown)color .
      Then she sealed with a satin top coat and did the final touches with gold gilding wax and black wax. Hope this helps and hope you are able to translate my message.

    A few questions if it's not too late? Do you clean your wax or glaze brushes? If not, what do you do with them- leave them out? Put in a plastic bag? Do you have one for each color wax? What about that scrubbie brush you used to blend- clean, leave?
    And the decree on most FB posts is "wax is last"! Why do seal over your wax? Will the wax not harden? I'll go by what YOU say! Thanks!!!

      Glaze brushes are cleaned after each use. Wax brushes I clean every several uses. Dixie belle wax is water based do you can coat over top, not the case with most other brands. Using waxes decoratively vs for protection here
