- **Please note, I no longer use and cannot recommend Dixie Belle Paint products due to highly questionable business practices, contract violations, and unethical treatment of artists and retailers that led to mine and numerous others resignations in late 2021. Please see the links below for more information. I have chosen to leave this video content up for learning purposes only, but highly recommend considering other products when trying to achieve these same techniques. There are too many good product brands on the market to support a brand with these practices. I've included links to my most used options below

this is a very helpful video for new passionate paint mixers and color fans! i mixed farmhouse green with wedding bell metallic and got the coolest shiny green yellow.
Thank you for the mixology video - I loved it and would absolutely be interested in another. So, yes, please, would love another one!
Years back when I ran my venetian lime plaster business I used to mix custom colors a lot. But honestly I have forgotten a lot of those color combos. It was 2008 when I shut down my biz. I think one was ochre, black and red to make a light beige without too much yellow. I mix colors once in a while now but this will be super helpful for me moving forward to play with custom colors even more. Thank you for all you share!
I enjoy you and your husband so much, your fun but you give us lots of great information….
I never thought about mixing in bigger quantities so I am excited!!!…
New Subscriber here and I thank you for all you teach us and you are a great artist! Got to you through CrysDawna who I absolutely adore….
Enjoying your channel….

I love this, Brandy! Great colors and I love the “little black book” idea. BUT I was getting an eye twitch watching you put the spatula into multiple colors. Lol
Awesome video so many lovely extra colours!
I have to be honest lol, my ocd kicked in when you put the book down and the pages started to close on the wet paint LOLOL!!!
Great job and wonderful creativity in this video. Thank you.
Such helpful but also inspiring video. I have a potential color matching situation later this fall (after some reno work) and this gave me ideas on how to proceed.
New to Dixie Belle and wanting to absorb everything! Thank you!!! 💖
Great video Brandy, thank you! 💕
Cool! Great to know! I really need and appreciate this tutorial! Your information and delivery is spectacular! Thank you! 😍
your so smart and just a joy to watch!
So sweet of you to say ❤
Sorry for all the questions but it would be nice to have a video that explains what we can and can not mix together in the Dixie Belle Line; for example, the Metallics should only be mixed with Chalk paints, etc. I hope you understand where I am going with this….
Thank you,
Marley
Awesome thank you Brandy 😊
I'm so happy you did the color mixes.. I've been trying to mix colors to achieve the dark wedgewood blue.. can you PLEASE give me some direction..thank you.
You should start your own school! 👩🎓❤❤❤
Very interesting. Is Dixie Belle considering a tester version of her paintings? It would be very practical to test and create our own colors before ordering the classic versions without knowing the desired result.
Sorry that I missed your live... I want a very dark green but on the cool side (collard green is too warm). Palmetto and black... Okay... I will try it. Any other suggestions?
This is the color I'm looking for as well.
Hi. I’m wanting to make French Linen & Stormy seas using the silk colours. Would you have any suggestions on mix colours and ratio? Thank you
I'm first on utube 🤗
I've been trying to work with Lemonade and Sage. Are those compatible to blend?
Is there a mix to get a true Turquoise color (more on the blue or green side)?
Thank you,
Marley
Is the silk line shinier?
Thanks!
I really need to know how to mix a caramel candy color. I have two upholstered chairs that would look amazing in that color.
I'd start with pune cone as a base, its closest to a caramel
@@BrushedbyBrandy Ok. Then was goes with it? Maybe a Colonel Mustard and a tad bit of a red?
@@tracienielson7183 I'd have to see the color you are trying to get too, but definitely start with a yellow
This was fun I mixed a great turquoise for my dinning set😊❤️
