Looking forward to hearing those Rinehart pipes😎 P.S. I’ll believe the ‘only 3 more mods’ thing when I see it😂
Lol, thanks for the vote of confidence RM. 😄
All very good mod's so far, can't wait to see the exhaust go on. I'm the same as you with the mid mount foot pegs, I feel more in control with mine. 👍
Cheers Tim! May take a little while, need to save my dollars! ;) I agree, mids are nice for more spirited riding.
Rineharts are about 7cm shorter than stock pipes and will fit beautifully your bike. They are loud though.
I got the quick release sissy bar but wish it was taller. Looking forward on seeing how the tall sissy bar looks on your Chief. Your Chief is one of the best out there 👍🏻
Cheers Luke!
You're the inspiration for youngsters who think after coming to age 30 they're old and can't do even work that requires little effort
Just 3 more mods , said every motorcycle owner ever . Lets see , remove cats , give it more air , dyno tune , all for the channel , of course !
My advice would be to contact bar-none moto in ballarat for your sissy bar. Ive only heard great things and each one is built custom to your needs. (dont worry im not getting a commission) haha i have seen a few mates have had made for their bikes and they really are good.
Ah there you go! Thanks, I didn't know they were here! I'll check them out.
Looking good. Half the fun of owning a motorcycle is to customize it. :) I've been modifying my Chieftain here and there since I purchased it about six weeks ago.
That’s a nice bike bro! I keep leaning towards the chief dark horse, videos are awesome 🤘🏻
Cheers Wesley!
Feels like I'm riding along with you. ❤As always ❤
Cheers Seltun!
If you can stay at 3 more mods good on you cobber, i know i don't have that level of joy as i always have to change things to suit me. As for the screen i cant do a windscreen but i have a high mounted tool bag that works well to break up the wind.
Interesting Joel. My screen is good with my older Arai helmet but not good with my new Arai helmet. I've been considering options and Indian have a neat handlebar bag I thought might just be enough to relieve the pressure on my body without throwing to much turbulence up onto my helmet. But it's a bit of an unknown. Your comment is very timely, great to know something as simple as a bag can make the difference.
Once you get it perfect you nay find that you miss thinking of mods, and in that case, you can send me that bike and have fun doing another project! LOL
Cause I think youre right, thats gonna be about perfect. Have a great day, Paul!
Cheers Roger, I wish you could have one too! Email me at bil.channelcontact@gmail.com I want to send you a sticker. ;)
I would go for a full 2 into 1 system. Always had the pro pipe on my HDs, looks and performance gains.
That would be nice Barnett but then the costs will go up because I suspect I'll then need tuning. Want to keep it simple for now ;)
@@BikesILike yeah true, fuelpak. Fair comment.
You missed mentioning the riser handlebars you added.
I picked that up later in the video, can't believe I forgot those! Just shows they've really become part of the bike. ;)
Out near Beac for the filming brother? I like your thoughts about upgrades. How you finding the bike with those bars? Did you have to get extended cables? You haven't thought about Verex, a little Aussie company, for the mufflers? Probably save yourself a bundle too!
I had to look up where Beeac was. :) No, I was north of Ballarat for this one.
Loving the handlebars, finding them very comfortable whilst still retaining great handling and control; I'll be keeping these. Yes, I had to get the extended cable kit, brake line, clutch cable and internal wiring harness extension all needed to be extended. Hadn't heard of Verex, will check them out. Cheers!
another suggestion....get your levers powdercoated.😊
Nice idea. I have thought about it, but they aren't particularly worrying me at the moment. That may change over time though. :)
You went with Peter Stevens. Good one. I saved a heap going through them. 👍
You need a new jacket, or, gloves that attach to your sleeves🤣🤣 (Not part of the 3 mods of course)😂😂 Godspeed to you👍
100% Earl! My wrists are already well tanned, as soon as the budget allows I will rectify the situation. 😄
Should really call them axe-cessories. They’ll chop a hole in your bank balance.
For sure Guy!
Great video Paul. Wanted to ask you, how does the chief go lane filtering in heavy traffic? My concern is clipping peoples mirrors with the mini ape bars or do you think they help in that regard?
Thank you! To be honest, I live in a smaller city and the traffic's light enough where there's not really much need to filter, even though it is legal to do so. Having said that, the Chief is very light and nimble at lower speeds, and I'd have no qualms filtering on this bike if the need arises. That's a good question about clipping mirrors. I park my bike beside my wife's Hyundai Kona in the garage and comparing my handlebars to that car, they are higher but not by a lot. I could see myself having to slow right down to a stop and leaning my bike away from the mirror to ensure I cleared it. A higher SUV could be a definite problem though. Hope that helps!
Thank you
Whoops - spoke too soon.
What kind of travel bag do you envison sitting on the small passenger seat? Will you use a cargo net to hold it on?
Ideally, I'm looking for some sort of waterproof duffel bag that I can stand upright with a top opening. I'll strap it to the sissy bar and I'm also going to design in some strap loopholes into the fender mounting plates to tie the base of the bag down.
Bike looks good.
