When you see dear Boris walking or standing, know that he was in great pain, yet, you'd never know it. He was that kind of dedicated performer. He always said that he wanted to work straight to the end, and that he did, with great courage and love for his profession. Price, of course, could be hysterically funny and it's too bad he only got that chance infrequently. He was another marvelous human being. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
The two best horror master. Watching them having fun and showing their funny side is priceless. I think they stole the show when they were on stage. Bless them. The three best entertainer ever.
At 4:30 we see Boris Karloff walking on stage, followed by a small version of the Frankenstein Monster. This was done because at this stage Boris Karloff was crippled, and this was a stage hand could assist him to his mark on stage, if needed. Boris looks like he was able to make it to his spot, without an assist. He was a real trooper.
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! I was only 4 when it aired, and I've been trying to see it for years. I hope you'll be posting more Karloff treats and rareties!
I am glad that UA-cam has posted this episode of The Red Skelton Hour. I've been looking for it for a long time. I would appreciate it if the whole sketch was posted in its entirety instead of in two parts.
I didn't upload it that way because youtube requires you to verify your account to upload videos over a certain length and the sketch was too long. I didn't feel like going through the hassle. If you want to watch the sketch in it's entirety instead of two parts, then I guess you could always just watch it on Amazon Prime instead.
Dear Chris; Thank you very much for your reply to my comment about the Red Skelton show episode titled "He Who Steals My Robot Steals Trash " featuring Vincent Price and Boris Karloff. Amazon Prime wants me to open an account with them and show a password, but I don't want to do that, so I prefer to watch the episode on UA-cam or on the Dailymotion app if It is posted there. I appreciate your reply to my comment and your suggestion. Thank you and may God bless you always. Yours truly, Margaret Garnto.
@@margaretgarnto6272 Buying it is definitely worth it then. I found it on dvd at Barnes and Noble for $10, maybe you can find it there as well. Good luck!
Dear Chris; Thank you very much for your answer to my comment. I would definitely go to Barnes and Noble to buy the DVD of the Red Skelton Hour whenever I get the chance. Yours truly, Margaret Garnto

Dear Chris; I finally found the Red Skelton Hour In Color on the TubiTV app, and it has the full episode of September 24,1968 Red Skelton Hour with Boris Karloff and Vincent Price and the entire "He Who Steals My Robot, Steals Trash " sketch in it. I can watch that episode on the TubiTV app for free without paying for it. Yours truly, Margaret Garnto
Part of me agrees, but I laughed when Red noticed he'd been given a rake instead of a broom for the scene inside the barn. Also the government jokes still hold true.
Red was from an era where the audience was a polite part of the act. Modern audiences watch Doom and Gloom and score sassy points for their rudeness. In Red's time, Red broke the 4th wall to laugh with the audience. was post-burlesque. Plenty of slapstick, hamming, routines, and schtick, like a night in the Catskills dinner hotels.
Red Skelton’s humor is pretty infantile and unsophisticated, it was a slog to watch him pull faces and do his hillbilly voice. 😅 I can’t speak badly about him though since he hosted much better actors and comedians than himself.
My man. Visited Boris and his last wife Evelyn many times in their cool house down in Bramshott, Hampshire. Odd fella but nice to chat to for a limited time.
If you knew Boris Karloff and visited him at his home I bet many people would enjoy your stories. I’m sure he got more odd and reclusive since he was in a lot of chronic pain.

The fact he *enjoyed* doing this despite the pain is worthy of legacy status alone! They don't make 'em tough as they used to.
Wow two legends!!!
The clever wit these men had was amazing 👏 🙌
Boris and Vincent having fun here, bless ‘em
The two kings of horror movie in a comedy skit. How Great is that!!!
Makes me miss my mother, RIP. We loved watching Red Skelton.

Man is a hero
Wow, that was a great show with 3 legends! Thanks for posting it in color HD!
It would be so lovely to have all these segments released on a compilation DVD / Blu Ray.
I have Boris Karloff as the Monster tattooed on my arm.
This post is the reason they invented You Tube..
Dr. Phibes and The Monster..
THANK YOU..

William, Vincent, Red.... bless you!
I haven't seen this since it was on the first time in 1968. Truly a great one - especially since it's one of the last things that Mr. Karloff did.
Thank you for this golden video. I dearly love all three super stars, my heroes of entertainment.

This was recorded, less then six months before Boris died. He could barely move at the time.
He faked it well, he moved pretty well.
wow! Bless you! i was looking for more Vincent TV clips! how wonderful that you posted more
6:32 - Just as timely today (November, 2024) as it was way back then.
"The Red Skelton Hour" was prime-time watching (Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m.) when I was a boy.
And begging to be allowed to stay up! Not cool the next day at school if you missed it!
Wonderful!
Thank You for posting this!
“Oh why not?”
Vincent: “oh I’ll tell you why not”
👀
Perfectly done
Excellent.
How am I just now discovering this show I love it

Vincent Price. You can take the boy out of St. Louis, but you can't take St. Louis out of the boy...
The reference to the election suggest that this was from 1968
Thanks for sharing! Props to Dr. Gangrene
I remember watching this series and waiting for the Red Skeleton to appear! It never happened...
How the Grinch Stole My Robot And My Trash.
TV sure has changed.
This is fantastic. What stamina Boris has! Who plays the monster? Is it Felix Silla?
this is amazing what date/year did this air?
He walks without a jerk.😅
It very funny
This is hardly Television Hall of Fame material as far as the writing goes. Fun to see to say you've seen it.
Wasn't Red the one, who never got a dinner?
No, you're thinking of Red Buttons. 😉
@@michaelklein5242 oh, so Skelton got a dinner ok....thanks
When was this
1968
@@sleepysnowbunny ok thanks
There was a lot of speculation that Vincent Price was gay; he wasn’t, but he didn’t really care if you thought he was! 😂
Karloff must be cringing watching the monster being portrayed as walking like Lugosi s blind monster from Frankenstein meets the Wolf Man.
He probably accepted it. His original monster still lumbered around, just comparatively quickly.
Red Skelton's type of humor doesnt hold up today.
Some of it does.
Why, because there's no foul language?
Part of me agrees, but I laughed when Red noticed he'd been given a rake instead of a broom for the scene inside the barn. Also the government jokes still hold true.
That's what you think!
Red Skelton had zero comedic ability, I had to skip thru to find Boris and Vincent
hard to believe we laughed at this.....
I'm still laughing at it, sicko.
Yeah, it comes across quite dull and very old fashioned now lol
You’re not laughing at this?
Was Red Skelton supposed to have been funny? Because he wasn't, not in the least.
Supposed to have been funny? He still is funny!
My sentiments EXACTLY!
Red Skelton’s humor is pretty infantile and unsophisticated, it was a slog to watch him pull faces and do his hillbilly voice. 😅 I can’t speak badly about him though since he hosted much better actors and comedians than himself.
This is so damn stupid and unfunny
