Boris Karloff and Vincent Price perform 'The Two of Us' on The Red Skelton Hour, from the 1968 episode 'He Who Steals My Robot Steals Trash'
Imagine the Grinch and Zigzag singing this song.
I'm so glad I was a kid during the Golden Age of Horror, when these men were kings.
Perfectly done
Robbie Hagberg and Sue are you in the morning and I can get a new one tomorrow morning and I can go to work today if you need me to get it done before you leave the office and see if you want me to come to you and I can go to the house and I can get a new one tomorrow morning if you want to go to the store and see if you want me and I can run to the store and get it from the front office your phone
Unexpected videos like this are the reason I love UA-cam.
And to think… he had emphysema and when he went off stage during this special, he had an oxygen tank at the ready. What a trooper. :) BTW, Vincent wasn’t Andre Delambre/The fly - that was Al Hedison. He played his brother trying to solve the mystery in the movie.
Born poor souls killed by the CRIMINAL TOBACCO PUSHERS and their ILLEGAL TOBACCO DRUG, which should be BANNED, NOW!
They were also pretty old. Sounds like an advertisement for smoking to me!
Two golden age legends.
Wow two legends!!!
Nice to revisit a bygone era. I was in my early teens when this aired.
Legit thought they'd covered The Beatles "Two of us" there for second based off the title. RIP Boris Karloff & Vincent Price.
This is such a refreshing change. To see these great horror movie icons being light-hearted and funny. I never knew Boris Karloff and Vincent Price were on Red Skelton's show. I like the skit. God bless and rest in peace to all of them. ❤❤❤
And then there was Christopher Lee's appearance on SNL during the Classic Cast era.
@@howardlevin2753 I remember reading about that. I wished I had seen that episode.
This made my day!! Thank you. I love these guys truly truly wonderful! ❤
This was delightful!!!
Those were the days my friends…RIP
This is fantastic. What stamina Boris has! Who plays the monster? Is it Felix Silla?
The two best horror master. Watching them having fun and showing their funny side is priceless. I think they stole the show when they were on stage. Bless them. The three best entertainer ever.
Why am I just discovering this now?! Boris can still do the monster’s growl!
Wow....this is so so sweet. I love it. Vincent Price was, is, among my heroes. Oh, by the way, I met Mr. Price at the former Buena Park Wax Museum in 1982.
It would be so lovely to have all these segments released on a compilation DVD / Blu Ray.
Now search the 'tube for Peter Cushing singing and dancing with Messrs Morecambe and Wise, and Christopher Lee singing in the singular movie The Return of Captain Invincible. Talents, all.
may they rest in peace
Great to see that Boris Karloff can still do the monster’s growl.
Boris was a constant professional til the very end of his career because I sadly think he wasn't as well off financially as other actors were. Bela got an even worse deal from Hollywood. Love Vincent Price here too!! 👍
Three Amigos, so kind, so wonderful and so talented all of them😍
Rest in peace, Boris Karloff. You will always be remembered as monsters like Frankenstein and the Mummy in Universal Monsters history.
They would have been great in a comedy horror film, sending each other up. Who is the third fella that came on
When I was very young just a poster of Frankenstein at the theatre would frighten me.
Thanks!!!
The two kings of horror movie in a comedy skit. How Great is that!!!
☺️👍👍 i like it...
Why did everyone think Vincent Price played "The Fly" when it was David Hedison in the role?
must be one Boris Karloff's last performances - nice to have it
Vincent Price. You can take the boy out of St. Louis, but you can't take St. Louis out of the boy...
“Oh why not?” Vincent: “oh I’ll tell you why not” 👀
Great video, thanks!
Good to see them all
Wow. I guess I never really experienced any of the later Red Skelton shows, as I had no idea that anyone outside of Wayne & Shuster did that sort of epic-length comedy sketch back in the day. Clem's frequent taunting of the censors added a nice bit of spice to the mix as well -- I mean, we always knew that Red "dood it" but it sounds like he'd be happy to do it right there in front of us if standards & practices was to look the other way for long enough!
Thank you Red Skelton for giving us Boris Karloff and Vincent Price in color not one for musicals but this was really great thanks
First time I've seen this. Wow. Vincent used to scare the crap out of me in the Dr Phibes movies. A master of horror. And...of course...Boris Karloff. If anyone deseves the title of "legend" it was he.
I wonder how Boris would’ve reached to Christopher Sanders’s narration of the horror grinch film? I’d say Karloff would be quite impressed of how Sanders sounded very close to him!
2 MASTERS OF THE HORROR UNIVERSE!
Was Red Skelton supposed to have been funny? Because he wasn't, not in the least.
Red was from an era where the audience was a polite part of the act. Modern audiences watch Doom and Gloom and score sassy points for their rudeness. In Red's time, Red broke the 4th wall to laugh with the audience. was post-burlesque. Plenty of slapstick, hamming, routines, and schtick, like a night in the Catskills dinner hotels.
Supposed to have been funny? He still is funny!
My sentiments EXACTLY!
I have Boris Karloff as the Monster tattooed on my arm. This post is the reason they invented You Tube.. Dr. Phibes and The Monster.. THANK YOU..
Three favourites!!!
is there no-one to let us laugh at death anymore?
The clever wit these men had was amazing 👏 🙌
Thanx, Chris, for sharing this little gem! RIP, Boris Karloff, Vincent Price, Red Skelton, and thank you, dear gentlemen, and lovely Julie Newmar, for the magic and memories.
Thank you for the memory.
I remember watching this series and waiting for the Red Skeleton to appear! It never happened...
