Very true. While he was an absolute master of the horror genre, his knack for comedy doesn't seem to be too well-known, which is a shame. His timing was impeccable, and he was a great sport. It must have been fun for him to branch out into something that so many people don't associate him with, and he does it beautifully.
Two men who were easily the best in their respective fields...and they could honestly have formed their own comedy duo, because their chemistry is incredible! I always get a huge kick out of seeing Red Skelton and Vincent Price together. It's so incongruous--but Price had fantastic comic timing, and he clearly loved every second. :D

Did Vincent Price really say the A-word? I didn't know people were allowed to say "ass" on The Red Skelton Show back in 1971. For decades, that show didn't even allow what was considered bad words. Back then, when guest stars joked about Hoover Dam, they'd say "Hoover Darn". Gone are the days of censorship on TV. I shouldn't be gloating or complaining about it though, since Red Skelton's show was one of my favorite TV programs.
It's sad how many people don't realize how much comedic talent Vincent Price had. He's not just a scary voice, you know.
