Hey man I’m the same with duramax I have brand new diesel with 6k my question if this pulsar can do other things like when you put a cold air intake and the hot and cold turbo pipes 😊
would you please do an update on the regens and how it affects your EGTs. Truck Master claims the bolt on/inline tuners are no good with a DPF because the added fuel adds more soot…im curious what your thoughts are?
Anything that adds power on emissions compliant will increase the soot level. Edge programmers all have EGT control though 👍
With the pulsar you have 5 different tunes. Do you know what tunes r better for what driving application? The evo shows it's tunes as eco,heavy and light towing and extreme. On the pulsar 5 is the most HP but what would be best for eco and or towing?
Tune 3 is recommended for towing I believe. Edge products’ website shows their power level graph
Can you use both at the same time like if I already have the pulsar can I leave it on and unlock and flash tunes on with the Ht3??

Are there pros to unlocking the ECM and TCM vs the Pulsar? I guess the question is why unlock them?
Bc the ECM is locked otherwise and you couldn’t flash any tunes.

@taylorlittrell this is a single use device, but we are looking into adding additional VIN licenses in the future
@edgeproducts is there plans to have this products integrate with the cts3 and/or an application for smartphones. Mainly for switch on the fly purposes.
@@taylorlittrell we will be releasing a CTS3 Evolution version in the future, but no ETA as of right now. There will not be a SOTF option.

thank you for doing this video explaining the difference between pulsar and evo, are they working on trans tuning on 17 thru 19, I have a 18 l5p I installed a cts3 monitor and I'm having issues with it, I need to contact edge about this unit. the monitor keeps turning itself on and when driving the truck it keeps going from gauges to gauge editor then back to gauges on its own, it does this the whole time I'm driving. it's very aggravating and I'm tired of this issue. have you had any issues like this, I've updated it and it says it's up to date.
They can force an update to fix some of those issues. If it’s defective, I think it should be covered under the warranty

I called edge and they sent me a complete new unit . Mine was doing the same thing.
I am sorry I ran the pulsar V3 and what I found is it causes more regions than it's worth need to tune em the only way
So you’re running custom tuning and you only have it on your ecm correct? My question is can you purchase the evo and and tune your transmission only since there on separate operating systems
The way the Evo works is it flashes both ECM and TCM at the same time. I’m just not sure if it that process is safe enough to not brick my modified ECM
@@JWMontoya gotcha I ask because I had caliprated power tuning ran that for a while and now running the same tuning as you but I was able to keep the trans tuning from calibrated power on my tcm and only flash the ecm with the other tuning company I also have the 17-19 l5p thank you sir
I've tried to get a hold of an Edge rep on the phone for literally months now to no avail. Maakes me second think their commitment to customer service!?!???? Too bad because I'd like this for my 2020 2500HD, but I'm not shelling out North of $a grand to a company that can't answer their phone!!!

MPG is gonna be about the same. Even deleted, it’s not significantly better
Pulsar v3 already have cts3
I have the pulsar for my 2022 L5P. My mechanic at the dealership stated that the pulsar stopped my truck from going into regen. Without the truck going into regen, it now has a clogged particulate filter which has to be replaced (back order), so I am running around with half the engine power. Has anyone else had this issue with the pulsar?
I’m always skeptical of what they tell me at dealerships… pulsar v3 has the ability to force regen so you could definitely try that.
Why don’t you just force a regen
@@JWMontoya Yeah, I tried the forced regen. Unfortunately, it did not work. I reached out to EDGE, and they are running diagnostics. Gotta say EDGE has excellent customer service.
@@marcustanner6136 A pulsar will not "stop" regen. Dealer on crack.
I have the pulsar in my 18, I now just run it on stock because I was getting non stop engine lights and more frequent regens. Makes sense now that they would not sell me the pulsar with buying the cts3 with it. More soot means more wear on the engine and less life from the DPF . Although I guess I do like the features that the pulsar offers, aside from the tuning.
