Hi nice video I really liked it I am just getting into programming can you tell me where I get the information to bench program these thank you
thanks alot for gettting back to me about my vehicle I did pull the skimm unit unfortunately I when i went back for the key the vehicle had already been taken of the lot. I am not trying to either get a ancel unit with advanced options or perhaps take it into a shop where I was quoted $100 for the module sync which is significantly cheaper than buying the scanner but not really if you count the amount of work I would get just doing lost keys and or pcm flashing.

When friends are like, recommending me to fix a friend's 🚗 car. Im like "I just know the basics, not even" and then they're like "bro you've swapped ur own engine, rebuilt/cleaned ur wife's whole intake, fuel rail and fuel injectors, replaced ur lower control arm, replaced they're ball joint etc" and in my head im thinking...damn I guess I have come a long ways from shaking holding my dads flashlight 🔦 😢 still holding back tears from the Molly whop he gave me for letting the light drift away from his area....thinking about it, thats damn near child labor violations 💀💀💀 I remember being 4 and holding his motorcycle frame while he mocks up the engine placement and handing tools for hours on end. 🤯🤯🤯 explains alot

I got the 4 plugs down pat. But how do you take a 3 plug with security and release it so it will run in a vehicle without security?? Does the j2534 toolbox actually do this?
Can you delete the security on my 04 grand prix? Lost original key. Had the dealership cut one, but the 30 minute relearn will not program the new key.

Hi so i have an 05 srt-4 neon and went to the dealer and they said my new key cant be programed to the skim due to the fact of my 8 slots being filled . Can i reset/deleted all the old keys that have been programmed to the skim since they are non existent anymore. So i can program more keys.

I just installed a blank PCM into a 1999 jeep. I accidentally left the SKIM module plugged in. It turns on and then shuts off with the key light on (only did this once). I’ve unplugged the SKIM and disconnected the battery for 24 hours. When I start it now it does the same thing but no key light. Does the 1999 model need to be programmed to the VIN? Have I unintentionally activated SKIM?
The two letters after are revisions. Sometimes it matters, sometimes it doesn't. A revision can be simply 12 in a box and not 10 or a different backboard so it doesn't matter. Or it can be a new socket for a new wiring harness so the revision is not compatible. It's hard to tell.

Hello sir. I saw that you had a lot of experience and knowledge. I have a 2.0L pt cruiser. 141hp petrol. my bp is as follows. I had a problem with my battery that I changed. following the covid it did not roll much. just before changing my battery i have 2 fault codes. as well as changing the battery. p0601 and p1684. with an odb2 I can turn it off but come back when I restart. I do not know what to do.

C4 on the NGC ECM is for automatic transmissions as they did away with the TCM if memory serves me correctly

I haven’t yet replaced the ECM, my van 2013 Dodge Caravan starts and dies already. I’ve replace sparks, coils, rockers -lifters, and alternator I still get every code relating to misfires and slow response time in camshaft. I do have a used ECM I pulled from the yard. How would you tackle this? Tried clearing the codes with the scanner with no luck. Please any help would be so appreciated.

So I seen Video where they changed the pcm, and skim and key swivel from anther car. And it started and worked like it was so post to. I just tried this on my 07 Chrysler Aspen and and 07 Durango parts suv. And I’m guessing it’s because a different module doesn’t match? Witch one would I been to replace as well.? Or do I just need to get someone who can change the vin on it. Cause everything would come on but no crank. Put all back and it started and ran fine.. My problem is the pcm is dieing and after it idea’s for about 3-5 minutes it kills 2,4,6,8 cylinders..

My current educated guess is, it's VIN matched to BCM/fuse box, and then there's separate key chip shit. So flash it like factory new, same VIN, and it will likely just work. I don't even know yet if the vehicle it came from had a chip key. Would love to know. Somebody recently let me rip out the ECU and harness from a 2012 jeep Liberty 2.4. I want to run it on a different engine.
@spartan - ever had a JTEC (3 plug) PCM that wouldn't delete SKIM using the Toolbox software? I've tried 4 and it acts like a comm error. Light flashes red and green and says reset successful... but it isn't. Works on SBEC (2 plug) every time
You need to do it out of the vehicle and clear skim on the bench.
Spartan Autoworx I tried that. I guess I need to ensure my bench harness connections. They were all SCI bus PCMs. I know JTEC had CCD bus PCMs as well.
I guess you could also unplug the skim and do it in the car but never had success doing that.
Spartan Autoworx I tried that first, that didn't work. It has in the past with SBEC. Are you using ToolBox3 update?
@@SpartanAutoworx that works for SBEC PCMs at least in neons. I am wondering if unplugging SKIM in the Jeep didn't work for me because the BCM or some other module is still broadcasting message. I got my bench flash to work though. I didn't realize the DLC I was using was from an older CCD bus vehicle so the pin was in the wrong cavity for PCI bus. swapped it and it worked fine.

Do you know if there is any way to pull out the security code from a new Dodge WIN module - I have a new XTool Pro Pad 2 - I have been able to pull the security code from the old WIN but after installing the new WIN it fails to transfer the code to the computer... I screwed up and bought a new one from the dealer thinking it would come with the code.... wrong!!!! Course they are telling me to take it to the dealer and he can program it.... If I had the code I could program it myself... I do have the equipment to read the eeprom and disassembled the old WIN module to see if I could pick out the correct chip... but couldn't seem to get one singled out... there were 4 - 8 pin chips on the board. Any Ideas or am I just screwed...
You need to program the new pin to the new win. I have had issues with dodge cars win modules over the rear deck lid. Micropod2 has been the fix.
Hey man I've got a 2008 jeep liberty 6 speed manual. On the ecu there are 3 plugs, two are occupied and one is just blank. Would you be able to "remove" the skim on it? Just a little confused because on the website it only says 3 plugs and mine seemingly only has two.

That would be considered a 4 plug ecm which we do not support skim removal on.
I have a 06 Dodge Charger R/T and the PCM is going bad so i ordered one from FSI INC that claims to be plug and play. I ordered it to match my part number and be programed for my vin. Is it possible that it will be plug and play? Can i just plug it in and go or will i have to get the skim module programed? Mine is a 3 plug PCM. Sorry i had a hard time hearing the video my speakers were quiet.
If YOU do not have skim then the PCM from FS1 would need to be skim reset or a non skim PCM in order to be plug n play.

Ya these cars suck when it comes to pcm. The dodge pcm has a jacked up glitch in it. I recommend a after market dodge pcm.

I tried to tune my car with hp tuners and now car starts and stall and it runs with remote start but turns off when i put foot on the brake. This is push start. I think it has vin handshake issue. Is this a key issue

HI, my immobilizer went bad, so I purchased a computer, immobilizer with key and swap it to my truck, with the same engine size. It turned on, but the thing is the lightning bolt came on, so i replace the TPS sensor, it help out, but from idle at 1000 rpms it drops and dies. I noticed that the truck i got the ecu from had a different set up of the Throttle body and Idle air control valve. Would that make a difference even though the ecm have the same part number?

You could have same base part number but different calibration level
I bought a used PCM this week that does the exact same thing. Do you allow people to mail PCMs to you to have the VIN programmed and security shut off like you did in the video?

I have a question I replace my Key and Ignition that had a skim module on it but my vehicle was a non-skim metal key but I plug skim not know now it won’t start do I just need to get pmc reset or ????
So you plugged in a skim to a car that did not have it? If so computer now will have to have skim reset and remove the skim module from the vehicle.
@@SpartanAutoworx what scan tool is need to do so. it only a field truck so I don’t what to spend to much I also put the other pmc in, that the ignition came from which removed the skim light but still won’t start

ok got a question I have access to chrysler dealer equipment worked for dealer 30+ years how are you going into a pcm and resetting the skim i wassnt aware you could remove or unlearn the skim so question is how are you resetting it what is proceedure, im trying to get one running with skim but having trouble accessing the pcm but if i can reset or remove skim ill be good im working on an 01 with the 2 connector pcm. any help would be appreciated thanks
Not something that can be done with factory tooling.
Well according to dealership when I talk to him and everything I've learned over the past year of two years of dealing with us I got it somewhat fixed and I drove it for a year but I didn't have an ignition I had to put a push button I had to have the key for power but I usually push button and I didn't have a heater or turn signals it was too bad fuses in the bottom of my fuse panel and they didn't look blown but once I changed them I got everything back ignition and blinkers stereo heater controls I got it all back. This time I replaced my whole front end up in lower ball joints tie rod ends anyways and lighter hadn't been in it and I put a brand new battery in it and I started up it started up and ran come back 20 minutes later all my gauges were blank dead like it wasn't even running when I shut it off it'll start shut off start shut off so they said if I get new skin module that can program it so I went and got a skim module and everything and they can't do it laptop that they use for it is messed up he's trying to hold the plug in and everything else and I called around everywhere around here and nobody else can do it. So I went to the junkyard got the PCM the skin module ignition and the key out of a running Jeep and that fixed it but it cost you almost as much as buying all of it brand new that's $1,500 bucks.
What about resetting PMC to get alternator to work again ?
Alt control on DCX computers fail allllll the time. Needs replacement pcm.
What's funny is I had someone tell me in the last few weeks the dealer told them the pcm needs a reflash after alternator replacement.
I'm not sure if it was just a dumb service writer or trying to upsell a unknowing customer.
There is no security light on the dash and no codes in WCM Module but NGC/SKREEEM Status reads "Engine Kill Command" on the scanner and Valid SKIM Key reads "False". I'm experiencing a no crank condition, missing ground at the Starter relay control & no injection pulse when manually ground that relay and cranking. You said that if car cranks and starts it may be a security issue but that's applicable to some cars I believe, in this case it appears that the PCM is not detecting the right signal from the module but the module has no faults when scanning it. All wires are good to the module & PCM.
After like 5 failed starts it will no longer crank. I would really need to see more key data and ecm data to diag what you have going on.
@@SpartanAutoworx wouldn't it set a code or show the antitheft light on the dash? P0633 is what I see in the PCM when scanning for codes. Key was programmed initially and it is not working now after it just shut off the engine when go going on reverse. Also, the car has a alarm system that bypasses the security module, that is also not working when trying to start the engine. If I put a new PCM with the VIN updated for the car, do i need to reprogram keys or does the WCM store the programmed keys?
@@scientist100 how u fix mine pt2005 skim alarm imob bat off 20hr key not recog so bridged rem to hot on starter while person2 cycle ignition ect to run it recharged battery +tried leave key in barrel but 6hrs later it still no longer recognises key unluckily.But it can be started & runs/drives perfect without skim delete its a relay that if u jump across it the hot wire for the rem cut /ignition start wire where u want a short wayaway from skim&key.doing myself to avoid rfid skim in order start my car now.☆joedog+buddy☆2005PTcruiserVan
@@joeyallcock1011 this customer had an old Durango so he agreed to do a skim delete service at the PCM level. No more chip or security needed. His aftermarket alarm just needed to unlock/lock function to be hard wired to the trigger wires which he did instead of using the skim module which had to be removed with the new mod. If it gets installed, the PCM gets bricked again lol
@@scientist100 all you really needed to do was look at wires from ignition find small relay then will clue you in on wot u do to avoid expense of delete as this allows start wen key/ fob show no longer ŕead false by skim/ or wen get a key only cut therefore rfid chip not present. its quite simple really.☆joedog☆+my k9~buddy☆with our~2door2005/PT~PVC PTcruiser~sportswagon~2door~Panel Van Conversion

For a programmed pcm call importapart with part number and vin with miles. If the skim is bad remove the skim from the vehicle before installing. Importapart sells programmed used ecms ready to go. 314-502-3104

I have an 2002 dodge dakota 4.7 auto 2wd quad cab no skim there was a replacement computer with this truck when I bought it but it only runs for three seconds and shuts off so how much to disable skim on pcm if I sent it to you

My take on it is if I want to delete the SKIM on my 2005 Wrangler, I need to reset the SKIM in the computer and then remove the SKIM module before hooking the computer up.

04 pt cruiser died randomly while running ~30mph guessing its the immobilizer is there a way to reset the Chrysler alarm once the immobilizer tripped Without taking it to the dealer I have the factory (grey) key and fob

I replaced computer on 2007 Chrysler 300 2.7L it was already reprogrammed to vin# by Car Computer Exchange it's 4plug it started fine shut it off it fired up again God inside bout 20min come back out to start and move it and no crank no start any thoughts?

I got a 07 Dodge Charger SE and it run and start good but when I stop for like a 1 minute a red lightning bolt pop up on the dash and the car go in limp mode and I put it on a scan tool and it said lost communication to ecm/pcm A! What do I do to fix it??
Could be a bad pcm or power issue
If I attempt.to switch the skim. And the security light blinks Then I put the old skim back and the security light doesn't blink. Will doing this somehow lock the computer? (It has a black key)
If a non security computer sees skim it will trigger the skim in the computer
@Spartan Autoworx. 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. My shop sent it out to a company to reprogram PCM and delete SKIM , got it back and she runs and everything but the ALARM is constantly going off. Any Opinions??
I believe its a separate module not associated with the skim. Maybe look into theft module or alarm module.

So Ended up getting an ECM from another company, Preprogrammed to normal specs etc. they put it in and the Jeep ran with no alarm. Then I believe went to turn off and start again and it won’t start. The locksmith has been trying to resync to no avail. Still in lockout mode Believe they just ordered a new skreem to see if they can get better communication and everything to sync. If you have any suggestions, I’m all ears

Maybe you can help? I'm working on an 05 Chrysler T&C that has crank but no start and no spark. When I scan it I have no communication with pcm or FCM. I've CKD all powers and grounds, I used a head light bulb to load test power and grounds. CKD continuity between dlc connector bus wire and pcm. This vehicle uses the 4 connector pcm. I've tried just plugging in the C1 connector at PCM, but still get nothing from it. Any ideas? Feel free to buzz me, or anybody else out there. Thanks😁

If its possible can you do my pcm my car has been down since august i brought it with no keys. Had a locksmith come out and started and ran for 5 mins. Then would just crank no start. Now its just a click from the fuse box in the back. Dodge says its the win. So i got a used one with a win module and oem lock cylinder and key. And a new pcm unprogrammed and dodgeis still having problems getting it to run

dodge & chrysler has no bypass they do Delete only ..any Reman PCM comes without skeem enabled ..but if pcm see skeem in the network it will become enabled immediately so make sure you disconnect skeem module before you plug your pcm
Please help. I bought an '04 Ram that was previously stolen. It had the immobilizer stolen off of it but the car ran perfect without one being in it. Like a dumb@ss I thought the immobilizer was actually for keyless entry and I hooked up a used immobilizer off of a junk yard vehicle. I plugged it in, the car started and immediately died multiple times and now it wont even turn over. I read it could be the BCM but some say possibly the ECM. Where do you think should I start?

I have that issue in my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. I've taken it to the Chrysler dealer and tried everything to have them reset it I think their laptops a little messed up. My question is, when you do a security reset on a pcm does it enable security? Reason I ask is I've tried two pcms in my 97 dakota and each one has a start then die result. Vendor says they reset security on all pcms before sending out. I'm stumped. Thanks

Unplug skim as soon as a non skim or skim deleted computer sees skim its automatically enabled again.

Spartan Autoworx Also, my 97 dakota does not have the security feature. Fuel injectors shutdown after two seconds, asd doesn't trip. I can use starter fluid and keep it ringing for a few more seconds. Every sensor I've tested tests OK.
What happens if it does activate the security, car won't start, everything's going crazy?

I have a 300 there's been some issues I have had it for 3 years it says to reprogrammed but I looked at the fuse box and someone has it appears to be messing with it cause the psm to have issues to caus3 me more problems. I have a 2.7 . 2007 I get a lightning bolt engine light then the egin3 light it has a sequence then it has no codes 8 don't know what to do do. I believe it's Bluetooth. I've asked the about leaked for 3 yea4s they said no but there is Sen e the fixed it originally and bust3d my windshield at the dealership. I need help its shutting off at lights now and I tired of taking to the shop and the doing not ok things I've work and sold plenty of cars that was great cars this karma isn't ok

Taking a huge shot in the dark hoping u still answer comments lol. I have a 2010 dodge ram. I had 2 keys (fobik) programmed and now the truck wont work with the keys. All keyless functions work i.e. lock, unlock, remote start, panic. But as soon as i put the fobik in it dies. If i start it with the key, it runs for about 2 or 3 seconds and shuts off. Dealer cant figure it out. It is throwing codes, cant connect to win module and cant connect to skim module. ANY ADVICE OR OPINIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL hahaha. Thanks for reading.

so your video called out me, so my kids and I went out to eat one day and my one year old son decided it would be a good idea to mimic his parents in a what probably seemed like a weirdos restaurant where people ate sea food and tossed the remain in to a miniature trash can which happens to be located on top of every table in the restaurant. longs story short after he tossed the keys into the trash I thought it would be a better idea to call a locksmith.. this character deleted my pcm and then said it was bad could not program the keys, after a week at the dealers because they could not figure out a no comm issue which I traced to the driver doos module, only after buy another pcm and ruining the old one, I have been trying to make my own eeprom writer rathe than paying the price for the drbiii or the chrysler pin bull. anyway you have any recomendations on a inexpensive tool to reset my skim and get my junkyard pcm going on it?
Just go back to yhe junk yeard, get the skim from the car u got the ecm from, as well as.the barrel and key. No programming necessary
VIN would not be correct and many places wont pass smog inspections with incorrect vin.
Wheree yaaa from 😭 I’ve been having my srt8 charger 07 for 2 years now don’t know what’s wrong ever since my motor swap last year only thing they didn’t do was change the computers it’s got a 09 srt8 motor in it and it’s all just plug and play but when I start the car up it just dies after a second or two. I unplugged the skim module and sent the pcm off to get the skim deleted and when it got here & I plugged it back up it did the same thing, start and die …

Just read the skim code with skim tool and go to dealer give them your skim code and vin number and they will recut a key for you for 60 buckd
Most people can’t read older skims pre 2007 and dealer would only need vin to cut key

Thanks for the information. Very good breakdown in common terms. I do believe you are correct that the PCM/ECM should be done on the bench without SKIM plugged in 💯%. I do have one crazy question: I came across a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 4X4 with only one key which is brown in color. Not black and not gray. The security light would illuminate solid but it stayed running normally without any problems. I just scratched my head the whole time but I just changed the brakes and went about my business. So, what gives with the brown key and solid security light?

i have a 2006 Chrysler 300 6.1L and i just changed my fuel pump but my car will stall when i park it and lately it’s been shaking when i hit 4k rpm and it will jerk back and it doesn’t let me take off do you know what the problem is because the check engine and red lighting bolt show up but i’m not sure what it is bea cause i’m looking at buying a ecm plug and play to see if it will fix it

If u swap out the skim with the pc and switch barrel/key, you wont have to reprogram anything.
Vin would not be correct.
I just did this. Replaced pcm skim and key tumbler. Runs great. Butbits reading 3 bad 02 sensors. Theres only 2 on this jeep. Old codes?
Yep done it myself on a few Chryslers and one Cadillac. All earlier then 2005.
sounds like .us non geek types would not have a programmer on the non existent work desk so my question remains ,how to reset a ECM that has been disconnected for 3 months.

Any used pcm will always require programming.
I have a 2000 grand cherokee with SKIM, but want to bypass that system. If you disabled the SKIM system and I took the cluster bulb out from behind the SKIM symbol, and removed the SKIM module (to prevent anyone ever plugging it back in), in theory this would function exactly like a vehicle would without the security system. Have you heard of any problems with anyone doing this?
If you remove skim and pull the blub the car will run fine. Just never plug the skim module back in or the computer will re enable skim.
Of course, skim must be cleared from the computer first.
