- Chloe Cole, a detransitioner from Central Valley, Calif., began identifying as a boy at 12 years old. Doctors prescribed her puberty blockers and hormones starting at age 13. At 15, before her breasts were even fully developed, doctors performed a double mastectomy. Only a short time after surgery, Chloe started having regrets about her medical transition. But in some ways, it was too late. Chloe is now 18 years old and back to living as a woman, but is still struggling to come to terms with the medical coercion that took something "beautiful and uniquely female" away from her. In the video above, she shares her story.

Genitals are removed in bottom surgery. Penises and both testicles in young boys and men. Wombs and the ovaries in young girls and women

@@realemonful You have made very harsh, cruel and rude comments. Children of her age if have transition surgery are not mature enough to make such serious decisions. It should be illegal to transition before the age of 18. And I don't think until age 20 when one is out of high school and has a couple more years of maturity. And one should have to attend counseling for many months before any transition treatments even taking hormones.

Medicine isn't perfect, nobody was abused. There is is risk to every operation. Luckily only a very small percentage of people change their mind with the majority going on to live far better lives.
Even adults are abused here. The reason behind it is simple: there is no fully informed consent. Side effects of the hormonal treatment, risks of the surgery and longterm issues are completely downplayed. Psychological problems (sexual abuse, puberty, bullying, autism) are not taken care of.
People can't make good decisions if information is withheld - no matter if child or adult. And that's what the medical profession does here.
It's like: here you get a house for free (when not informing the people about the 10.000 $ monthly maintenance cost, even if they ask about, they are lied to, absolutely no downsides.) SCAM.

All these young people having their lives so hugely affected by decisions made when they were emotionally still children. It's incredibly brave and desperately important to hear what's happened. We are failing in our responsibility as adults to protect children.

The truth, entrance, and life in humanity that He speaks of is not labored for the sake of the wicked. He WANTS to AVOID TALKING to those who are BAD, INSTEAD He WANTS to GRANT all the TRUTH to those who will be made PERFECT.
But His work requires that, for the time being, He allows the WICKED to ENJOY some of His RICHES. Those who do not practice the truth, do not please God, and interfere with His work are all evil. They CANNOT BE MADE PERFECT, and GOD HATES and REJECTS them. 😪
On the other hand, PEOPLE WHO DO the TRUTH and PLEASE GOD and SPEND their WHOLE SELF in GOD'S WORK are the PEOPLE GOD WILL MAKE PERFECT. 🙏
Those whom GOD wants to make PERFECT are none other than this GROUP of PEOPLE, and the WORK GOD DOES is for the BENEFIT of these PEOPLE. The truth He speaks is for those who are WILLING to DO it. He does not speak to people who do not practice the truth. ☀️
The growth of knowledge and the growth of understanding that He says is aimed at those who can practice the truth. When He speaks of those who will be made perfect, He is speaking of these people.

As a mother, mental health nurse and health visitor im so upset to hear your story. You are so brave to be able to help others and hopefully shape future law and healthcare regulations to stop this abuse to children from happening.
Not enough people are brave enough to say that transitioning is not a panacea for gender dysphoria. It's an infuriatingly complex issue that is being addressed at the level of social ideology, not rigorous studies into the potential for potentially irreversible harm. Those who have acted so negligently as medical professionals deserve to be held accountable.
How can you hold medical professionals accountable for a legislation which is coming from the top and being pushed down? I have learned that these so called gender therapists had no power to question the applicants, their job was basically affirm the dysphoria and place the candidate to the assembly line. If they questioned they were fired. (and called transphobic, probably.) 😐
Even less people know that 'transitioning' is not an actual thing since you can't transition from one s ex to the other. 'Transitioning' is a lie you're telling the world to make yourself more comfortable with your illusion.
@@4651adri Transitioning is just a label so you can refer to the process they invented to "treat" gender dysphoria with. Nothing else.
@@4651adri 'transition' (as most often use in common parlance) is one of gender not biological sex. Gender is definitionally a convention, or as more commonly used a social or cultural construct. You can look at this in many ways; as performative insomuch as a trans woman may chose to wear clothing arbitrarily assigned as woman's clothing for instance. None of this has any bearing on the topic at hand. Everyone has the right to label themselves as they see fit. Just like you have the right to reject that label as something you're willing to use. There are multiple conversations/arguments being had here and it's unhelpful to conflate sex and gender, on ideological grounds especially.

I hope you win your case Chloe. I am a social worker and I have spoken many times to others in my profession about this travesty irl, but they always brush me off. I have met other therapists online, however, who are also concerned.
May I ask how do you deal with this situation as a social worker? Have you seen therapists raising concern officially?

You, as a social worker, did you get any education you could think of what you could use as a basis? Like were you taught to recognize the signs of depression, BPD, su*c*dal behavior, etc?
@@moma-b At one point I asked the social work organization in my state, NASW-NYS, to stop promoting "affirmation only" laws. I lost. I would like to see NASW sued by a detransitioner, parent, or child, affected by this policy. This organization has lost all credibility.

Chloe I am a mother and had huge trouble breastfeeding...my babies were held by me while i bottle fed them. Holding your child and loving it is felt by the baby....you will be ok. You can be a mother regardless of whats in the past. God can restore and protect in His way. Loving and nurturing is in your dna and cannot be altered you can give that to a child of your own or by adoption...dont beat yourself up over what is past...theres still a whole life ahead of you.
It just blows my mind that formula is still so demonized. It saves a lot of lives. I like to ask the really militant types if my parents should have just let me starve to death when my mom dried up early, early, early? I've got a close friend who was pre-eclampsic and her medical team essentially hid her in a semiprivate room and ignored her for the better part of two days, her body was put under such incredible stress that her milk never came in, and the shaming that followed was horrific. Not every woman can breastfeed and that's okay. I've got another friend who was a single dad from the very beginning and people would bother him about his little girl being a bottle baby. Um, well, Luke could feed, hold, and love his daughter or, no, wait, that was his only choice.
In the end, babies love to be loved and they love to eat while being loved. Chloe's going to be a fantastic mom if/when that time comes.

i can’t imagine how terrible it must be for her, being so young when all this happened. i was eighteen when i started hormones and twenty-one when i got my breasts removed, and even then i feel like i couldn’t properly consent. i was so mentally unwell and wasn’t required or offered any therapy beforehand or along the way. i thought it would fix everything. my parents and i were told it would. things need to change. there need to be stricter rules and precautions in place for this sort of thing. being a detransitioner, realising the regret of what’s been done, it’s soul crushing. sending much love to chloe.

I can relate, with hormones at 18 and mastectomy at 19. I did see several therapists, but they all just affirmed my negative feelings and pushed me further toward medicalization, ignoring the underlying issues that led to my dysphoria. I think there are more of us feeling regret than people realize. I'm sorry this happened to you too, I hope you're well now. ❤
And THAT is the problem! For a very long time you had to have YEARS of therapy before they would allow even a sex change operation on an adult! And now all of a sudden they are pushing this on kids FAST TRACK!

Her interview with Dr. Peterson was very profound. Like sitting in on a session. She held it together all the way through until the end which was amazing, her pain was felt throughout that interview. She has very strong mental fortitude after all she went through. I hope those so called medical professionals are held accountable for their obvious malpractice.

@@realemonful hey cowboy. what are you saying? grown up professionals pledged allegiance to the flag of transgenderism. but you blame chloe for not standing up for herself? remember Jordan Peterson objecting to Bill c-16 making gender ideology offense a Canadian crime? it was already too late for sensible talk. almost every politician at the public hearings presented their behinds and voted for the amendment. when i heard that one of the american endocrine society's bought into the idea of "hormones can fix identity problems" it seemed like the war was lost and now we had to rebuild over the ruined lives of de-transitioners like chloe.

They were listening to HER and her parents. She went in looking to transition. She admits at every turn that she was adequately advised of the cons (no breastfeeding, healing journey etc) so I find it unfair to the practitioners who tried to do their best, in good faith on testimony from Chloe and her parents , tried to help her transition. When she uses terms like “it was taken away, I was butchered” SHE signed up for this!
They also told her there was a small rate 1-2% of those who change their mind- but overall, most people are overwhelmingly happy and relieved for the gender confirming surgery.
The grossest part is that right wingers like Jordan Peterson are using her as an example of what they say is a huge problem. She was not tricked or misled. She had been living as male for years.
Making the surgeons out to be abusers make it sound like they don’t have the patients best interests at heart. They don’t have ESP! She walked the walk AND talked the talk of someone who would benefit greatly from top surgery, AT HER REQUEST.

The fact she is suing the medical practitioners will make it more difficult to authorize the mutilations on young bodies. In the past decades we were told that trans people were waiting too much to get hormones and surgery but from now hopefully everything will change for the benefit of everyone, including people with dysphoria. There must be other pathways to treat dysphoria and we need to consider it as a sever dissociation psychiatric disorder. We were told in the past decades that it was not a sever psychiatric disorder and that it was offensive to say that. But tell me why police and doctors are totally committed to prevent us to kill ourselves but they can allow permanent mutilation.

@realemonful She was basically a child! Our brains do not even fully develop until 25 years old! It's not her fault. Even though she doesn't blame her parents, they should have waited until she was old enough to decide for herself! By then, she would have changed her mind. These doctors are to be blamed, too. Who does this crap to a child?!

Truly feel for her. I'm a mother of four and I was not really able to breastfeed and have success at it beyond for bonding and comfort. A lot of women fail at breastfeeding and have to supplement with formula so she shouldn't feed bad. It's not easy!
But you had a choice. You had at least a chance to try it out. And whether it will work, who knows. But you tried.
But Chloe will never have a choice. She will never have the chance to try if it works to breastfeed a child. This feeling, combined with the fact that Chloe decided to have this surgery herself (maybe forced by the doctors) and then regret it, is probably very difficult to cope with.
As a straight women, I’ve always been afraid of doctors. Last year was the first time I’ve gotten gaslit! Totally dismissed my symptoms of inflamed joints when I have a family history of bone problems. Then these poor vulnerable people being experimented on and I definitely don’t trust anyone in the medical field. 20 years ago I felt like doctors cared, I felt like they listened to each patient and didn’t view us as a number. Now they just seem to want us in and out, and I get it, they are overworked ❤ but people need help and that should have been why they joined the medical field, not just for the money.
I feel exactly the same way these days regarding medical 'professionals.' I too feel that a lot of them are serving some other agenda that goes against their 'Do no harm' mission statement.
Nothing in this world is as it should be anymore...Trust in God - He's our only hope 🙏🙏🏾❤️

As a trans woman who is happy with my transition, let me say thank you for telling this story. I have met too many people who vehemently believe that surgical intervention is not available for minors and it's all a lie made up to oppress trans people, because that's what they've been told. We live in such algorithmically divided information bubbles that people literally have zero exposure to even basic facts that might challenge their view.
Most people would not be okay with this if they knew it was happening. The problem is, they don't know it's happening, and that's scary.

Molestation and sexual assault are far to common and not spoken about enough. I think these factors are common threads in girls wanting to “change sex”… which is not biologically possible. I was molested when I was young and figured out what men wanted from me. I became a Tom boy. I didn’t want that kind of attention from males. Then I developed a drug addiction to deal with the pain… which I’m assuming was easier to get through than body mutilations at the hands of “medical professionals”
Please add bullying to that list, I felt like ***p because of being called ugly and not girlie enough (was a tomboy) and at some point even thought I was a boy. I would have tried to transition if social media like tiktok had influenced me back then, thank goodness they weren't a thing. My heart breaks for today's girls who may be survivors of SA, molestation, bullying and abuse and who might think the answer is transitioning.

I can see how people can be led down this horrible path thinking that the medical profession wouldn’t steer them wrong. Self love and acceptance is a journey in life and not surgery and pills.

As a parent, speaking to other parents, its your responsibility to protect your child no matter what other people might say. Allowing this to happen to this poor girl was bascally child abuse!

Any doctor who would be willing to transition a young child should lose their license to practice medicine. This is still a controversial thing and it's foolish to "try it out" on innocent children.

I’m a woman. I never had a strong maternal instinct and the thought of pregnancy and breast feeding is something I don’t like, thinking something grows inside or having someone have to be attached to breast almost repulses me. I know this is not the norm and I can understand how saying these things can offend some ppl but even tho those are my feelings I never once thought I was in the wrong body or gender. And on a side note, I see myself as quite a responsible person because ppl like me shouldn’t have kids because kids need to have loving parents. But my point being that nowadays young ppl think they’re trans at the first sign that there’s some different traits to them. And that just need self reflection, counselling, maturity with age, and not a push or a gender confirmation therapist feeding on the issue. Majority of trans youths are just misguided, misinformed and naive because of age. They need to live, to wait it out and in my opinion, which counts nothing but I have it, once the rebellious youth phase ends, they would be more comfortable in who they are. I have been in the rebellion phase longer than the average person, however I started to sort of feel comfortable in who I am, and to have bigger issues to concentrate on around age 27/30. It’s not same for everyone of course but I think it’s a good age to finally have a real grasp of reality

I feel so bad for Chloe. Knowing this is happening to so many people, who barely fully understand the feeling of being an adult and responsibilities within it. This horrible treatment of young and mental abuse to transitioning needs to stop! We need to tell these children that they are great just the way they are, and changing yourself for society standards doesn't fix anything! I just want everyone to be okay with themselves and love themselves a little more!

And if a minor kills another person, he or she is tried in juvenile court and given a few years or they are put in a mental hospital.
Not only can a child not consent, her parents trusted the doctors who assured them Chloe would kill herself.
Doctors are pushing this so hard they ask the parents if they would rather have a dead daughter or a live son.
A lot of these kids are just gay or like Chloe, are on the autism spectrum and she had been sexually abused.
All these reasons make adolescence even more difficult.
Before this madness took hold, transitioning was the absolute last resort and it was only done on fully grown adults.
I hope this reaches as many children and families as possible. Chloe, I take my hat off to you for your bravery in all of this. All the very best.

If a kid wants to identify as the opposite gender, just let them be a kid. Let them wear the clothes they want, change hair or go by a different name but DON'T LET THEM NEAR HORMONES OR SURGERY TILL THEY'RE 18. Even if they don't end up regretting transitioning, unnatural hormones on a growing body is very harmful and has many side effects.

Yes, professionals are aware of the "social contagion" part. Parents are in a very powerless position because their kids know the digital possibilities better than them. Kids cannot be isolated from their peers in school, etc. On the top of this, legislation made parents victims. E.g. in Canada if a parent refuses to comply the kid can be taken out from the family and the parents can be accused of child abuse. 😐

I'm above 30 and started my journey in november 2021 after many, many years of depression. I've only had 3 appointments so far. Where I live it's not that simple to recieve the treatment u desperately want. It's very strict, at least what I've seen.

You are gorgeous. The doctor who truly cared was shut up and replaced. They SAY "only 1% regret rate". Before Bruce made his transition public, there were a littany of safeguards in place. One was the requirement of living as the opposite sex for more than one year before HRT could be given. Another was no history of mental illness. Patients had to be over 18. You had to be on hormones for whatever amount of time before surgery would be considered. You had to be diagnosed by a Psychology MA or two. It was a VERY gradual and meticulous process. It generally took 5-10 years, not 2-6 months. Transexualism is nothing new.

I wish we could do something, but just like your endochrinologist, we're shut up "right quick" as well by these bastards. There is a special place in hell for all involved. Mark my word.

My heart goes out to you and your family. I cried while watching the part where you talked about having children and breastfeeding. It was during that time of my life I felt most alive and connected to myself and my children. To know that there are literally thousands of kids out tgere today that are struggling with this is heartbreaking and tragic. It's beyond wrong! It's mutilation and attempted murder (of the person you were born as) IMHO. Praying that you get to experience motherhood and the joy and closeness that brings. I just found out about you Chloe. TY for speaking out on this! I feel so sorry for what’s going on with kids today. I was always a tomboy (still am) but I used to bawl when I was a child. I wanted to be a boy. Thank goodness I was a child before this insanity. Since then I’ve raised 2 beautiful girls and proud of the strong independent tomboy woman I am today. Be strong!

Us women have too many moments when we are uncomfortable with our bodies and hate them. Being physically weaker than men, seeing our bodies being objectified in the media, having to have periods, having experiences of sexual harrassement... All of these things are hard to accept and/or deal with. These challenges are something that all women go through, to variying degrees. It's just a part of being a woman. I don't think any woman is perfectly happy with having the body of a woman. These biological men trying to identify with our life experiences don't know what being a woman even means.

You’re absolutely correct they do need to be held accountable. You’re still a beautiful girl. I am straight and had breast reduction surgery when I was 21. My mom tried to tell me it would interfere with breast-feeding, but all I could think about was looking good and proportioned in a cute outfit. Fast forward to 35 years old. Had my first child and realized how stupid that decision was and now could not breast-feed and nurture the most important bond in my life. Also married a man who liked big boobs. 😮. Thank God he accepts me the way I am. Now that baby is 14 years old, and he knows I love him with all my soul. Even if you can’t have biological children, I’m almost 100% positive there’s a child out there in need of love.❤❤
