  • Steve doesn’t do things by the book. In business, he ignores the rules and follows his instincts. He describes his journey from university drop-out to award-winning entrepreneur.
Steve Bartlett is a 23 year old British entrepreneur, public speaker, and the Chief Executive Officer of influencer marketing agency Social Chain. He received the Lloyds TSB young entrepreneur of the year award in 2013 for his success in creating a web based platform aimed at students.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Mate, seriously inspiring talk. I went from leaving high school at year 11 - in 1997, got a trade in cabinet making, left that, became a night club bouncer for 15 years, and now own my own live sound engineering business for some of the best bands and musicians in south east Queensland, and Australia in general. Admittedly kinda struggling these days with the mass panic and bollocks involved with Covid as the live music scene here is pretty much dead, but things will pick up again and I’m doing what I love. Great work brother.

Wow! The next problem is how to get creative and non-creative people together to benefit humanity. It used to be called politics. How to nove out from early adopters to mainstream. That used to be called marketing.
