What do you said at the end about never having a blank page is so useful. And it’s so coincidental cause that is how I approached my singing training, my self teaching. Any QuickTip or realization or exploration I had with my voice and body, I would write it down, whether it was one line, a paragraph, or one or two pages. And I’ve collected a lot of information in the past five years, and learned a lot on my own and through online resources as well. Thank you for your encouragement to try this with songwriting.
It's mostly the tasty vibrato and compression. I can't get that feeling over in my singing mainly because I have not developed the muscles needed to execute those techniques.
I wonder when New York Vocal Coach is gonna post that video about all the types of vocal distortion like the false vocal cords, epiglottis, The ayrepiglottic distortion from twang, Let’s not forget about the over compressed distortion from Mr Krabs way back on that voice break down. I know Brendan mentioned making a video talking about all the vocal distortions. It’s just there may be some I haven’t learned yet and for doing impressions it’d be good to learn ways to get a sense of each distortion. I know that there’s most certainly a bunch of vocal distortions but there’s also tons of tricks and tips in the voice acting book
Hi Tiana! We have a ton of vocal exercises all throughout our series for all the different registers. You can write to us at Questions@VoiceLessonsToTheWorld.com with specific things you're looking for! -NYVC

What a good series is this! Very well done! I hope you guys to make a episode of one big jazz star Rachelle Ferrell... She is fabulous and there is so much to see and learn from her! Good luck y'all! 🙂
Let’s talk about his vocal techniques and how he’s making those sounds. He’s singing from his chest whenever he is looking for grit That’s how to get it It would be good to hear your coaches takes on how to reach for that sound. Where is he reaching?
Hi JJ! There are different ways to create Distortion. We recommend checking out our five part Distortion series! Episodes 121 through 125 of Voice Lessons To The World. If you'd like to know about a specific distortion Chris Stapleton does, you can email us at Questions@VoiceLessonsToTheWorld.com with a specific timestamp and we'll tell you what it is. -NYVC
hey justin big fan, i have a question, i’ve developed my chest voice quite a bit but how do i know when to start moving on to using head voice? they say that if you start using head voice too early you could potentially lose notes on your chest. so how do i know when i’m ready ? i’ve expanded my chest far enough to where i’m almost in a mix voice at high notes.
Hi Amali! We recommend training several areas of your voice simultaneously. You do not need to wait to work on your lighter vocal registers. In fact, it's very important that you do work on them! We highly recommend checking out Episodes 98, 99, and 111 of Voice Lessons To The World. -NYVC
Yes, very interesting ,however, I don't care how much anybody follows these guidelines.Chris Stapleton is in his own lane and can never be emulated well or beaten.Good luck to those who try 😅
