@Adrian Rivera he is from Kentucky and listen to Fool me again that is more Country but you really can't categories the man but I would say he is a mix
Edward Munson yes, also the same county as Loretta Lynn. Her home place is about 5 miles or so from my house!!! We have some amazing singers around here but sadly, many will never be heard of. Most don’t put themselves out there when they should and many others just don’t have the resources. 😔
@@Campbelltonya THAT IS MOST SAD. For me it would be difficult to be humble when one State produces so much musical talent and the finest whiskey (Bourbon) on earth!
"I can see he is still married, Which is great, thats so good" With the look at the camera, I laughed hard enough i almost fell out of my chair. I have never seen such disappointment/jealousy in someones eyes for like 3 straight seconds like that lol...
I disagree. One of the things about the blues is that the performance is never the same twice, and that diversity can give the song multiple meanings. It's why cover songs are so popular, each artist expresses the songs differently. There would be a quality in live performances that you simply can't get with a recorded version. It's okay to simply not like the performance, because he doesn't do a whole lot. But the emotions are deep in his voice, if you've the ears on your heart to hear is, so to speak. This is some of the quality that is conveyed better live than over a recording.
I commented on her Tennessee Whiskey video of him saying the same thing. I saw him twice and I plan on trying to go again next April. Real talent with a great show! Well worth the money.
As an East Tennessean, that actually lives at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains (The Great Smoky Mountain National Park) and also has that “twang”, I’m so pleased that you actually appreciate the “Appalachian Twang” that Chris has. A lot of people don’t like it or appreciate it at all. Chris is from Eastern Kentucky, but because he’s from Eastern Kentucky, an area around the mountains, his twang is 100% authentic. Most of us that are from the foothills of the Appalachian mountain range have a twang, but those of us who are southern and from the foothills of the Appalachians, I believe, have an even more distinct Appalachian twang. I’m glad Chris Stapleton chooses to use the twang in his music, rather than trying to learn to sing without it; you don’t hear that authentic country twang in as much country music as what you used to. The only other country artist that I can think of off the top of my head that still proudly sings with her authentic Appalachian twang is perhaps Dolly Parton.
I first heard Chris Stapleton about 6 months ago. Omg I couldn't believe it. What a voice and that talent is just out of this world. He kind of reminds me of Johnny Cash but in the now era instead of back then. He is quite a sight to behold on stage with him and his wife. His wife has the voice of a clear mountain stream!
I totally dig Chris. He is awesome live. If he does come to England you definitely don't want to miss that. One of the best live gigs I've been to. #YouRock
I just went to a Chris Stapleton concert, he’s my favorite musical artist, and he is by far one of the most impressive vocalists I’ve ever heard and in person he just can make you feel the raw emotion that he is trying to invoke in his songs and it truly made me tear up at times it’s just so so so so so beautiful
I've literally been moved almost to tears listening to this guy sing......He is absolutely a LEGEND of our time. I saw him live and the feeling I had after the show was that I had just witnessed something like a shooting star or an incredible rainbow.....weird to explain really. Oh and by the way....YOU ARE STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL. That is all, good day. Thank you for the review.
Don't think he's coming to England. But we would love to have you here in the U.S.A. to see one of our great performers, and that's what a Chris Stapleton concert is!
Another guy trying to save American Country Music is Sturgill Simpson. You’d love him! He’s so unique and talented. Look up either of his performances on Charlie Rose (“Oh Sarah” and “All Around You”) or his Tiny Desk concert. You won’t be disappointed!!
OMG Rebecca I adore your reactions to people! Thank you so much for educating me on vocal terms but I absolutely love your adorable reactions!! You are such a joy to watch and learn from, thank you so much!
Man I'm loving how she is staring at him like some kinda hunting cat that hasn't eaten in a bit. Unabashadly no less. I ain't hating you for it. Hell I respect it. In Texas that's a sign of confidence. If you ever came to visit I got a feeling you would save a few horsez
Just seen him lastnight at the Coliseum in Madison, WI. Its the greatest live performances ive ever seen!!!! He's from Kentucky and is straight blues with a hillbilly/country twang. That's where his body is from. Very humble man too. God spoke with Elvis P, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Chris S, and a many others.
he's humble and if not for his lovely wife who performs with him on all his work, we would only know him as a song writer...He is the full package and so very soulful and talented...I agree with an earlier comment that he is is the best country singer to rise up in the past 20 plus years...God bless him! I enjoy your educated commentary on his talent too. You are amazing.
This is the song that sold me on Chris Stapleton. Hands down the hardest song I’ve ever learned from a pure vocal stand point. That shift from falsetto to full voice in the chorus ate my lunch for a solid week but I got it and I was happy when I did. 😁
@jay fine I'd have to disagree with you there. They seem very happy together, they do have 5 children together and it was his wife that pushed him to sing his own songs instead of just writing songs for other artists.Every interview they give together is just the two of them beaming at each other.Thats love bud!!
It fun for me to see everyone catch up to his talent. What is amazing to me was catching him early in his career and listening to hime develope, refine, and hone is vocals. To me it's that evolution of a musician that I love to hear, the transition from just raw natural talent to a truly refined powerhouse that bridges the gaps between genres and opens up a style of music to audiences that would normally pass because it's country or bluegrass. His work with The Steeldrivers and The Jompson Brothers is amazing.
Rebecca OMG you get so lost in the performance its beautiful thing to watch, love to see that passion you have in your soul. You truly are a beautiful person thank you for the joy you bring 😘
I love watching you prepare for Chris. Absolutely... When I saw you were 'doing' Chris Stapleton again I had to watch. I watched you watch Tennessee Whiskey alot. I love the 'beastly angel' tag. Only Rebecca! And as always luv what you do for us...#rvarules #neverstopsinging I LOVE your southern Belle accent!

His wife does a cover of “You are my sunshine” with home singing backroad. It shows her amazingly flawless voice as well. She probably has the most beautiful voice of any female country singer out right now! Check it out and you won’t be disappointed. There’s a live version and studio version available but the sound quality isn’t the best for the live version. I saw them live last year and I don’t think either of them are capable of an off note. Neither have ever taken one singing lesson. They were born singers.
I love when I can see a person’s brain work , I like watching you come up with words to break down his vocal talent .. what’s hard is Chris is one of the best vocalists in the music industry in a very very long time , he single-handedly crossed music and racial lines .. ive been watching reactions to Tennessee whiskey videos and it’s crazy to listen to how people break down his songs .. he is an amazing singer he makes you feel part of his words ..

Being an old country boy from Georgia, I'll tell you that your attempt at a southern accent was quite admirable. Not perfect but definitely not terrible. Thanks for giving us your takes on these wonderful artists.

Chris Stapleton is probably the most talented Country singer in the last 20 years. Full Stop.
20 years? I'd say ever
I would say he's more of a blues singer with country characteristics
Hes def one of best vocalists in a very long time.
@Adrian Rivera he is from Kentucky and listen to Fool me again that is more Country but you really can't categories the man but I would say he is a mix
Easily the most talented singer period. But he's bringing the old country feel back to what use to be good music
The best compliment a man could get from a woman... “he’s a BEASTLY ANGEL” 😂
Wrong. The best compliment followed it. "He really knows what he's doing with his tool."
Brad Butler 😂😂😂😂
Brad Butler I was just about to say the same thing. Made me chuckle.
Lol
I've jumped off a roof to hear that
Chris Stapleton’s from my hometown in Eastern Kentucky....everyone is so proud of him here!!! ❤️
As well you should be, Tonya. He is as incredible two others guys from Kentucky.....THE RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS.
Edward Munson yes, also the same county as Loretta Lynn. Her home place is about 5 miles or so from my house!!! We have some amazing singers around here but sadly, many will never be heard of. Most don’t put themselves out there when they should and many others just don’t have the resources. 😔

I'm not sure it would be safe for Chris for you to see him live in person.
😂😂
Karl I think you're right.
Do you think he would have learnt all that technique..doesn't strike me as the type...not a great song for me.
I disagree. One of the things about the blues is that the performance is never the same twice, and that diversity can give the song multiple meanings. Did Rebecca get the vapers again? ;)
Just caught him live in Illinois. Nothing fake or studio polished with this one. Hes the real deal. Phenomenal live
I commented on her Tennessee Whiskey video of him saying the same thing. I saw him twice and I plan on trying to go again next April. Real talent with a great show! Well worth the money.
We don't just listen to Chris, we feel him. What a gift.
"So much freedom in his mouth." Murica
