Much love from Germany! Thank you for the awesome and very helpful quick runthrough :) I bought an Oracle for round about 400€ off of an auction which did not heat properly after descaling. Hoped it was the thermofuse and repaired it myself which zero knowledge 💪🏻 Machine is heating up now and I ran a manual deep clean with a high quality, non corrosive descaler. Emptied out the boilers through the valves and wow there came out a lot of scale! 😂 Multiple clean water flushs and now I will always skip the descale message and reset it as you showed in your video. Will keep my manual cycle every once in a while + regular group head cleaning with the tablett 🙏🏻
Thanks for the video. I wish I liked this machine better, but I would never buy this unit again. Sent 1st machine back 4 times for service! They finally sent me a new machine, which was also broken (while plugged in and off... would make crazy, loud electrical clicking noises). Sent it back to get 'fixed' and after a few months of use, machine now overheats to the point you can't use it - it won't brew; Breville refuses to help me anymore. I went into service menu and found 10 errors. Can't believe how many people give this machine a good review.
I definitely think reliability is one of breville's weaknesses but frankly that's an issue that plagues any increasingly complex system. This oracle has about 3 times the complexity of any normal coffee machine / e61 machine. Akin to how luxury cars are less reliable than a corolla for example. Although as of 2023 onwards, all Dual boilers and oracles have started using metal connections for the boilers which means no more steam and water leaks like before (at least, a reduction in leaks for the first few years). Was yours a 2023+? Four times is rough, it's probably a bit of bad luck, and perhaps some things were missed by the service centre. It also depends on usage, these machines MUST be serviced every 12-18mths. Sorry your experience was bad! Hopefully your next breville/coffee machine is less of a headache. I sell these for a living in addition to the servicing and I do admit that they are more problematic than other brevilles but it't understandable because they are more sophisticated. Cheers!
After you physically change the wand, you need to clear ALL error codes by holding the 'single & double' shot buttons and then hold the 'Power' button at the same time. This will clear all existing error codes and U should then be good. Let me know if my suggestion works.
Greetings to All. :) I'm getting the error code 1300. My research indicates that the "Steam wand NTC open". Any insights (part numbers) would be appreciated.
My machine would stop when I pressed the steam wand down, the grinder would stop, the front control panel would go blank. I sent the machine to Breville and they found a problem with the software in the Front Control Panel, so they replaced the whole Front Control Panel. I hope this helps anyone else experiencing the same problem.
I am a hobbyist and salesman of sorts for Breville coffee machines. I sell them new as well as used, so I change machines quite often and those tools above the machine were for my BES920 dual boiler. I occasionally get dual boilers with separate grinder to test and like to use my own tamper. The included tamper is very nice but I think distribution is cruicial for proper extraction
If you put the fan to silent mode, does it stay off all the time? If I put it in that mode it stays off, but when I next turn the machine back on, even though it shows its still in silent mode the fan will run after a bit.
There's a chance it can break the steam boiler, causing overheating and burning of the coil/fuse. People complain about it all the time and I personally have seen it happen with my own eyes, and actually a lot of the repairs I've done are repairing this very issue, and almost always its after a descale cycle. It doesn't cause issues 100% of the time. I'd say 50% of the time.

This is immensely helpful, thanks! Are you a tech/engineer? Do you know if there's a service mode for the BES878 Barista Pro? Cheers
Thanks a bunch m8

My pleasure! It makes me happy seeing passionate coffee lovers around the world benefiting from my content :)
Hi what is the part number for the fuse I have the same issue, any place to get a how to?
I’ve found your comment very helpful, since I just bought an Oracle machine myself 😊. What non-corrosive descaling solution do you prefer?
What is a manual deep clean?

Can you please share how Calculated Scale is calculated and what higher/lower represents.

Humidity at the sensor , bad wiring , or new wand needed
I have the same error, Just replace the wand assembly with error 15.
How do I remove or dry up the sensor?

Why do u have a manual tamper and distribution tool for a machine that has an automatic tamper?

Why do we need to avoid descale cycle?

@@caffeinefix2751 what should one do instead when the machine says „descale“?
@@docfreefall either take it to a service centre for a professional to do it, or ignore/clear the message. Too risky to do yourself

I would search ebay, Facebook marketplace, google search and Amazon
Once we get the list of error codes (I wasn't able to find one?), is there a way to find out what might need repair/replacing for each code?
