2020 Honda Africa Twin vs. Triumph Tiger 900
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 жов 2020
- Two of the best adventure bikes on the market: the Honda CRF 11000L Africa Twin and the Triumph Tiger 900 in the Rally Pro version. Both of them new for 2020, with lots of updates: bigger and more powerful engine, more electronics, better handling. It’s one of the most anticipated reviews of the year, so we pot the dual sport tires on and hit the road to find out which one is the best. The Africa Twin or the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro.

Congratulations on the 100k subscriber milestone. Big fan of the channel. All the best!
Well done on the subscription base. Love your professionalism and informative style.
I just rode 700 miles of dirt in Utah, Moab and the surrounding areas on my Rally Pro. Amongst our group we had a GSA, AT, a couple CRF450, a KTM 390 and a Triumph 800..... when we were blasting down a washboarded section I was relaxingly sitting in the saddle hauling ass on my 900RP. When we stopped they all asked me how in the hell I could do that and not get destroyed by the bumps being shoved up my back....my answer is because the RP suspension is so good you don’t even feel the bumps...it was an amazing ride. It’s not as capable on road as my wife’s 900 GTpro, but I get where I’m going with lots of energy to spare...then I hammer the dirt...
Congrats and thank you for the review from Montreal!
That's why I love this channel. Half way through the video and they've already declared a winner. My curiosity forced me to finish the video and I wasn't disappointed. Thanks guys.
To Christian. I still miss you buddy. God be with you.
Congrats on 100k subs. I enjoy your production and edit. Congrats to the staff
The straightforward delivery and practical observations are nice.
Many reviewers concentrate on things that don't have much impact and avoid the things people really want to hear about.
Well done 100,000 subscribers, always look forward to your rides and reviews here in Australia. 🍺🍺🏍🏍👍
You guys, Fortnine, and Bret Tkacs are about the only motorcycle channels worth watching these days. Congrats on the 100K!

I love this channel, keep up the good work guys! Greetings from Colombia
Awesome job with your channel, one of the best on youtube. Keep it going.
Really like that you guys put your plaque in a random video instead of creating a video entirely for it, its refreshing, and unique
I love this channel! Very honest, genuine reviews all that with his credibility.
Best photography on UA-cam, amazing job guys, love the channel , I just need to bust you on the reliability lack of testing, keep up the good work.

Honda Africa Twin the legend lives 👍😎
It is not legend
Excellent review of bikes and congratulations on 100ks subscriber's just subscribed
You deserve your award. Great job your videos !
Hello guys, congratulations on UA-cam 100k subscribers, keep it going, honesty is the key.
Question, do you think the previous generation of Tiger would have been more competitive for the Honda?
Cheers from Scotland.
I personally enjoyed the previous one on asphalt. I dare to say that for me it felt better than the new one. But not on gravel and enduro. Cristian
Love these videos! Thanks!
Trank you for all the fantastisch Reports.
You have a great channel! Cheers from the U.S.A.!
Congrats from Southern California! Not surprised, great channel.
You guys really went deep on this comparison! The one group I ride with, all 4 ride Triumphs, 2-800s and 2-900s. I think your observations are spot on. My only problem with the Africa twin is it’s awfully heavy for a man of my age, 68. However, I will not sell it until I can no longer ride it. I have found a workaround, riding a CRF 300L to gain off-road skill, that can be applied to the Twin.
This is an outstanding film. The long, side tracking shots are fantastic, normal speed or slo-mo. Your tourist board should be thanking you too. Beautiful.
Always great videos guys
Your channel is very good, technically qualified, excellent, visually appealing, honest. Congratulations from Italy.

I have a 2014 Tiger 800, I am glad to hear they made some changes to the engine placement and weight moving down especially. I may have to go test ride one. I can't imagine the Africa Twin is feeling heavier. My Triumph is so top heavy.
We'll be miss you Cristian thanks for everything
You deserve it guys and a lot more than this!!! 👏👏👏
Love your videos!
Rest in Peace Christian 😔 I've been an avid follower from Istanbul.. You'll be sorely missed....

Thank you for such an honest review 🙂 and not sticking to the script given by the manufacturer
congrats for your 100k subs!
you guys are awesome!!!! great job!!
Great video .I have Africa Twin Adventure sports 2018 and i absolutely love it.
Went from a klr to a 2021 ATAS manual and I’ll never regret it! Dealers everywhere, parts everywhere but reliability forever!
Congratulations on exceeding 100K subscribers! A fan of your reviews and production effort. Yamaha T7 or KTM 790 R probably a better fit for me as they both offer more off-road agility though at the cost of on-road comfort and touring capacity.
That right phrase : when you ride Atwin you feel like you cab conquered the world! Best and precisely slogan for this amazing mashine! Merry Christmas 🎄
Thanks for amazing presentation! Fair conclusion!
Another great comparison video . I’m leaning towards the triumph more and more.
Quality of video is excellent!
Great review guys. Where would you see the 850gs compared with these 2 bikes as I know you took the 850 across Russia a while ago. ?🇬🇧
I could have bought any mid-weight adventure bike. The motor and shifting on the Triumph is best over all the brands I tested. Traded my 2020 BMW R1250GSA for Tiger 900 Rally Pro and no regrets!!
My two best bikes going head to head. Fantastic show. Great passion.
Fantastic thoughts on these bikes. Thanks
CONGRATS BROS,,, YOU DESERVE IT
Congratulations 🎊🎉🎊🎉 100k
Really nice to see you making better videos all the time. And the discussions are getting better and better. It's not always about being faster. I do feel like most new bikes are to fragile, heavy and the joy of riding is hindered by having to navigate the menu's to turn off TCS.
I miss the fall, pickup, kick and go attitude of some older bikes.
Honda starts no mater if the display loads or not,you don't have to wait to start the engine,it will load even if you start riding and you can press the enter button to go in the main paige, and you buy Honda to ride all your life, not to keep it in service like other brands..🙂
Great Channel. Hugs from a Brazilian fan
Congrats from Brazil !!! Keep moving forward !!!
Well done on your reward as well. Really great chanel :)
Don’t understand why everybody that tests the Africa twin always uses the DCT which is not a fair comparison.
He said manual version was not available for the test.
@@jobrn1 Understandable, but then it's not a good comparison. DCT is best suited for road, manual clearly gives rider more control and connection to off road conditions, inc less weight. By not postponing test until manual availability, it may sway some to not appreciate AT in rough off-roading.
It was always the same back when it launched in 2016 and ever since, may be it's just Honda pushing it. You've got to play along if you wanna get some bikes :P
@@diogomorato Sadly your right. The trend is clear, more and more electronics and computers taking over riding control, guess many want that as it sells. At least the new Yamaha T700 didn't go overboard.
@@larryj8924 whats wrong with using dct in manual mode?
I like your honesty and the way you parley
We love you guys the content you bring is just awesome. Congrats on the award .
high level video. thank you

Christian and Bogdan sir u all r really awesome in every aspects Big fan from India 😊😊
Great review for two similar bikes and slightly different positioning. How would you say it compares to the ktm 790 adventure s (not the r which is very off-road oriented)?
Congratulations on the subscriptions!
I’ve been watching your videos for the past month and have really enjoyed your honest perspectives on so many bikes.
I’ve recently decided to make the transition from a 2017 HD Ultra Limited to the adventure market. I’ve done over 100,000km in the last five years, but so many times I’ve had to ride tougher terrain than my Harleys are capable of as well missed out on so many fun routes that my bikes couldn’t go.
I live in Calgary, AB and my backyard is the Rocky Mountains and just beyond them lies the gorgeous Pacific Northwest where riding is four seasons for true Canadian bikers.
Both my wife and I are aiming for the midsize adventure market. We know how to pack light and love a good long twisty road. We’ve been spoiled with cruise control, ABS and decent wind protection. We can sacrifice the wind protection but the other two are deal breakers. We will be off-road and exploring on weekends, the asphalt will be used to transport us, not going to trailer our rides.
We’re holding off until the new year and waiting to see what 2021 brings our way. We’ve both been impressed with the Tiger 900, KTM 790 and BMW F series. I know KTM is releasing the 890 so I’m super keen to see that and can’t wait to see your feedback on this bike.
Keep up the awesome content!
Great video 👏
Congratulations! A DCT on an off-road bike was always a terrible idea to me. That new Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro is fantastic. I test rode one and almost bought it on the spot, but there is $5000US difference in price between the base 900 and the Rally Pro.
Well done video...go ahead likes this! 👍
Thanks for the review. I'm also trying to choose between these two bikes for my next motorcycle. I still wish both bikes had a master switch to turn all electronic intervention off and keep it off.
Just cut the wire to the sensors!
Congratulations 🍾
Love the 2020 Africa twin. Loaded with amazing tech. If only people would actually try to use it. Getting sick hearing bike testers on UA-cam say that there are ‘too many buttons’. It’s not rocket science. Seriously. CarPlay on this bike is immense. I just wish Honda Uk were as good as bmw for after sales support. Bmw can ship parts to my dealer overnight. Honda ? Been waiting on part of a kit deal and the crash bars for months. Puts me off Honda in future.
Dct is more a road oriented feature imo for the adventure sport. The lighter version for offroad opt for manual.
My buddy took a gamble with the DCT & loves it. The 1000cc one. I’m keen on trying the 1100 new one but can’t decide. I’m more for touring for 16-17 hour rids ... almost zero percent off road.
@@rajindarsingh1417 sounds like you might be better suited perhaps to a Gold Wing or BMW K1600 GT - unless you really like the riding position of the Africa Twin.
theonlyredspecial - I had a GS1200. I need an adventure bike as opposed to the GW , because I don’t like to baby my bike. I’ll have to cover it up all the time & keep it away from the sun. Maybe a Tenere ( a real tank )
@@rajindarsingh1417 Like you, I'm heavily biased towards on-road. I'm trying to decide between AT (manual probably) and Ducati 950S. I've always loved my Ducatis, and I think it would be way more comfortable for long rides than the AT, but the lack of dealers in the U.S. is a big concern; there are Honda dealers everywhere. I haven't ridden either one yet. If the AT is really top heavy as most people say, and uncomfortable, then I'll go Ducati and hope for good reliability like I've had in the past.
@@rajindarsingh1417 Wow! A Tenere for 16 hours a day? Great for off-road, but I can't imagine that.
First at all congratulations for the plate, and... I just wonder... can you do a wheelie with that the África twin?? 🤔
