Technically it does benefit the car. You suck in next to no heat from the engine there for eliminating any possible hot air intake through the filter and it allows a more direct cool air intake with out any other separate air temp interference 🤙🏻 open intakes even with heat shields suck in a lil hot air from the motor. This completely blocks any air other than what comes in through the intake tube. 💯
Thanks for makeing the video I was deciding getting one because my subaru gets heat soaked once engine is warm past owner just put a ram filter on , stock air box is like $200 all over for some reason lol so im gonna get this
Hey man i really want some help here :) one of the two fittings ypu are showing at 1:46 looks to be flat, is it made that way or did it get smashed while shipped :) i need this intake and that flat fitting and also the measurment of it 🙏
Can't believe you forgot before and after rev sound test, that's pretty much the reason for getting an intake🔊 Did you notice a big difference in sound or was it not much difference?
looks good, but can you swap out that cheapie filter for something better like a K&N or Ramair ? I see there are screws on the side so can you open up that box. It does looks good
When I bought my Ibiza it come with a strut brace he was really annoyed with it making it really hard to take the air filter off. Couldn't even take the strut brace off because the bolts were messed up
@@dtomas143 this intake he has is better than an open intake. If you want performance then Go this route. Its a closed set up there for more controlled allowing you to direct cool air from the most beneficial spot rather than an open intake that sucks hot air from the engine back into the engine lol. The hotter the air the thinner which is less oxygen rich which means a weaker combustion which results in loss of power

That's a nice filter didn't know these existed. I had a cheap s2000 filter like everyone else which has heat soak issues

Yeah unfortunately i did although i dont believe there was any difference because its still basically a airbox
Although when coming off boost i do recall it making a epic noise
Where did you put the little air vacuum line that was connected to the top of the air box
It went to the vacuum box

I believe you cant but i guess you could modify the housing to make something work
How else would you replace the filter ? are you supposed to wash it like the K&n ?
