I think they had it under control, so i think they thought not to make unaware people aware of it, it would only get people to panic and get a big choas when not needed

The tarp was coated in flame retardant agent, due to the weather the agent washed of and as result the tarp cought fire. It wasnt a big deal it was under control pretty quickly.
It was fixed over night and the tarp got covered in fire retardant agent again to prevent fire the next day.
I disagree, they shouldn't have stopped the show.
Stopping the show would have certainly caused deaths, because they would have started a crazy mass panic on a 60k people event.
The way they handled it, nobody was hurt.
Also the stage isn't actually that flammable, the structural parts are mostly metal.
The reason why the tarp caught fire was because of the flares during Justify just so you know c:

The fire is actually behinde the singers, thay stand infront of the statue and thay cant actually see the fire themselves. Lucky that most things are made of materials that wont catch fire. Looks like somekinde of canvas cought fire fron the flame throwers. Looks like cloth did not stand the intence fire. Lessone learned, and hope this wont happen again.
There are 2 things that stand out to me -
That there wasn't a showstop, even if there wasn't a need to evacuate you should be on a show stop so that people are focused and not still in a party mood if the need arises.
Even if you weren't going to do a showstop, they should have moved the performers (which you see in some shows when they're in the way of sfx anyway) if they were in danger and most importantly that there should have been a pyro-stop so that it avoided making the situation worse, you can see they still do fireworks and more while trying to deal with the fire.
They stopped the show an put on this soft song and stopped the laser and pyro. I was there. Don’t judge if you didn’t know what they did to protect 65000 people in front of the stage

Accidently drank ghb instead of bottle of water that was standing at the table, freak accident rip
