This was such a power year for DefQon. 2022 was the first year after the lockdowns from the pandemic. Hence why you see so many emotional people. Power hour is the one hour of musical madness where everything in the ‘harder styles’ is being played. Defqon is the biggest gathering of harder styles fans from all over the world, hence why you see so many flags in the crowd 😁 happy to see you enjoy this!!! There’s so much great stuff to explore in this musical scene. Hope you embark on this journey!!!
I as a german do admire you for this! You can have such a big pride and show them to all. But as a german it is hard nowadays to show pride without being offended instantly. I wish we had the same thing as you do have over there! I wish we could kind of be a unity as you are over there! Groetjes :)
@@lepeotmit my grandpa was born in Germany (Laage), he was proud to be a German, I wish you could to, Germany is beautiful country. Don't feel ashamed or responsible for that weird mustached dude.
The Netherlands has the best DJs in the world... in hardcore... hardstyle... trance... most of the greats are Dutch Hardcore music originated in the Netherlands at many of these parties an abundance of ecstasy is used... this largely explains the solidarity... ecstasy turns people into striking poetry albums! The Netherlands has several festivals per weekend, especially in the summer... from trance to R and B and hip hop from hardcore to rock or concerts
Yess, at a festival we are united.. with football we are united.. But we are just as devided as most other western countries.. It is at the times that we forget our differences that we are united.. If we only could remember that devision is taught, and that our differences are the things that unite us.. acceptance is the key to salvation..
I really had the vision of NL that you don't have such big issues as we do have in Germany. Every time when I was in NL it seemed to be so chilled and close to each other. And I wasn't only there during festival times or so. Hope that we will be able to fix our issues and to have better societies! :) Groetjes
@@lepeotmit during things that connect we are really united (national matches like the EK, festivals, national holidays). but like OP said in other things we can be really selfish/divided, just like any other place (like in politics). luckily most people can put those differences aside pretty good when the time/situation asks for it. like in traffic, almost everyone behaves for the greater good when emergency vehicles have to get trough traffic. or if it rains a lot of drivers will let pedestrians/cyclist go before their turn. because getting wet isn't that much fun, and the drivers understand that. or when someone falls, within minutes there are several people going over seeing if they can help and if the person is alright. it's mostly in the bigger cities where people live in their own clusters where people are strongly divided. like nationalities all living within their own cultural bubble, not experiencing the other people around them. but those are just a small part of the people it's important to keep connecting with each other and keep that unity, not only within our own cities or country, but with the rest of Europe. humanity could do with a little more being united and a little less division ps. Dutch people feel pretty connected to the German people, you are our neighbours after all and we have plenty of things in common. i live in an area with lots of camping's and it always makes me happy when i see all the German license plates, or hear people in the city center talk German.
02:46 The reason so many people were emotional and crying was because it was the first edition of Defqon1 (or any party/festival for that matter) in 3 years.. This because of the "event" that swept over the world the years prior. And for a lot of them it was their first time EVER since the festivals have a minimum age of 18 years and up and when they reached that age, the entire world went under lock and key. And it was never certain these festivals would ever happen again as a lot were in severe financial trouble because of all the restrictions. So to be able to finally let loose after all those years was the reason for the tears. Thats also the reason they used a Phoenix as the theme on the main stage. To "rise from the ashes"
Watch the endshow of defqon 1 2022 and the end show hardcore of harmony 2024 you gonna love it🎉🎉🎉 proud to be dutch we party like no other together United
The population of the Netherlands (18 million) exceeds Greece, Portugal, Schotland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Belgium, Hungary, tsjechia and many more. There are more Dutch speakers than all scandinavian speakers together....
Forget the windmills, flowers, cheese as our export products! The Netherlands main Export product is Festivals! We have the best DJ's of the World. Check festivals like Sensation, Intents, Lowlands etc etc, Every summer The Netherlands turns in the biggest Music Festival location or Europe/the World with more than 50 big/huge festivals! Yes you have still so much more to discover on the country at the North Sea that might be small, but without us the World would be completely different! Realize eg no WiFI, Bluetooth, Microscope, Lightbulb and overall Micro chips!
Honestly, you should watch a power hour. If you look at the 2023 power hour official video, you can see the left to right with the crowd properly in the picture. And the hour itself is just awesome to listen to. Not only 2023, but from 2014 and onwards all are amazing. I am feeling lucky to be there in 2014 for the first power hour🎉
@DACHBenelux It is mostly Dutchies, going nuts on festivals like this but do not forget that their are loads of fans from the entire world coming to festivals like this. Like vtmosa also mentioned. In one of your video's you asked about the flags, well those are (obviouse) fans from that country who came to the Netherlands to experience a festival like this. There is no party like a Dutch party! (With this music style that is)
You must now ower history,. War is far away for the Dutch. 80 years war with spain was one off ower history. So we do not like people who starts war. Putin wants more ground Holland is smaller then ever but we are happy so🏆👊
