DAVID BOWIE - THE VOYEUR OF UTTER DESTRUCTION (As Beauty) - LIVE LORELEY 1996 - HQ

- Collision of rhythms like an overwhelming locomotion: music-"outside" the compromission with mainstream, non-linear, coloured by tribal sounds. Quick flash of poetic noirish images. Vigorous version, brilliant, throbbing.
Underrated song from an outstanding album, which is also underrated.
Well said.
If I had to pick a favorite, this is my favorite Bowie song
I totally agree. The 1.Outside ...a master piece
@@RhadaGhast100 it is so hard to find the best one to hang on the Wall but Voyeur is a good one 😊
Station, outside, blackstar : podium
What a voice, what a performance. There is no one that can be compared to him. He is absolutely unique. When he sings "I shake", then I shake, too !
Shake it !!!! Oh shake it

...always Bowie for 50 years and still love to listen him !...
👍🏼
Wow the public at the time was not ready for this kind of thing he was always ahead of his time but I love it!! He is so brave always my Hero
There's music for people who like music, and then there's music for people who obsess about music. This falls entirely in the latter category.
Absolutely ❤️wooow
Wowser Bowie is on FIRE 🔥 everything about this is out of this world. The energy is cataclysmic...... everyone is precisely in their purest element, a jam session of the absolute finest quality...... absolutely adore this...... there will NEVER be anyone who will come even close to the calibre and sheer talent of Bowie, he is millennia ahead
Probably my favourite incarnation of Bowie’s live band.
Oh yeah!
Mike Garson rejoining the band brought back some of the magic
...only BOWIE...can bring this kind of ELEGANT DRAMA...only DAVID BOWIE....
I am happy i was there in 1996 in the first row! And i was overwhelmed like i felt in outer space! David Bowie and his band were magic and unique! I felt like a human powerplant when i was staring at him and his band feeling the sounds from head to toe while i was singing the songs feeling high and free as a bird. I miss David Bowie. Like so many say and this was really true, David Bowie was ahead of his time creating new sounds and styles. Thanks always to him that he showed us which power everyone might have.
One of those songs that NEVER gets old, while always sounding NEW and experimental ... Outstanding !
Never seen any one as good as this man . Genius.
Leaves me breathless what a perfomer! as fEmenting as H E L L!
So many gods in this world he's always been mine! Never left my side all my life since I was a teen I'm now nearly half a century I consider myself as his disciple/ messenger of God! I'll always be preaching Bowies Psalms x peace on all you fellow disciples x
I shake and stare at the sun till my eyes burn!!!!!!!
Bowie the ultimate rocker!!!!!!!!!
Holly crap, Bowie dances like in the blackstar video in here. For a song that comes from 1.Outside, which he did with Brian Eno. Him and Eno were talking about the possibility of going back to the concepts of 1.Outside and expanding on them shortly before his death. Bowie messaged Eno one week before his death to say goodbye, wonder if the dance is a nod to Bowie and Eno's wishes to work together again on an 1. Outside sequel
Hi dave, if I am correct the shaking dance is a nod to the early black and white micky mouse cartoons.. still bloody good.
I Must have listened to this a hundred times now
Certainly does ... David is so inspiring and Bowie fans so kind ... I'm glad to connect with him on my YT Channel ... its a real privilege to perform his songs.
Damn, every time I watch this performance it's like the purest shot of adrenalin. Every aspect--utterly amazing. And Reeve's guitar solo? Yep, that's the way it's done! Mic drop.
Watching and listening to this is like witnessing a hero setting and lighting a huge fire, then standing back, basking in its glow, and enjoying every crackle and gust of its massive conflagration, fully in control of its might. The work of a master craftsman 💖
That is one workout for the drummer sublime. Fabulous song .
A genius. Ahead of his time as always. Amazing showing of skill by all musicians involved here. Love Bowie!
Wow……I have been a Bowie fan since the early 70’s and never heard this gem!
This song is an experience 😮💨😮💨😮💨. Bowie was different man
What a voice and what a high level of energy.... leaves me speechless every time I listen to it (and I have listened to it a lot of times). Sublime!
This song is incredible.

He is a jammer! I love David so much. I was blessed to see him 5x and I remember each experience (almost) like it was yesterday. I miss My Starman but I know he is always with us.☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
His best solo ever with the heart of ...
Kracht, Power, Kraft! All in one man and his band!! R.I.P. David Bowie....
Certainly his best band since the 76 Tour (if not better!).
Just brilliant.

Absolutely Agree ... its great to be able to play & sing his songs and thanks to YTube for giving me the channel under my picture icon ... Bowie fans are ace.
Bowie forever!!!!!
Perfection!!!
Bowie and his band
Immaculate
@redsails2008
As I have said elsewhere, here (incredible modernity) Bowie and his Band are particularly inspired. What makes this spectacular is the perfect atmosphere of what was probably the aim of David: a climate about an ancestral creeping feeling, deeply hidden in our primitive, dreadful, ineluctable, on an atmosphere of impending threat. DB does not speaking here of the observer, but of a voyeur. It's completely different paradigm.
Very true, thanks a lot: the ultimate (true) Rocker.
110% from EVERY BAND MEMBER! Epic performance!
Was there! Astounding performance! Thank you for posting this! ❤️👍
sublime bowie intemporel
@revolverproducciones
Sometimes Bowie sets me free odd sensations, like if incoming "memories of a future"... seem to light quanta from the Dimension of the potentials, which appear and disappear.
Certainly, his music has something that moves the hearts of stars and touches the human one.
Thanks for the comment, shared 100%.
that you for the video....its wonderful to revisit his old performances....I like your merories of a future comment....he did seem to have read the script of life prior to living it...
@SenseOfDoubt1 You are right! This song has an explosive power, and a rythm that goes faster and harder...OMG! And David´s movements...no words to explain!
David is from another planet, love it! a genius, a vanguard.
@xxpiggystardustxx
I fully agree: whole DVD is one of the most indicative legacies of the grandeur of the Master, a diamond which offers an essay and a testimony exhaustive on what we can call the "Art of Rock", regardless of fashions and of timing.
A big thank you.
Like many many other Bowie tracks this is my favourite right now. I wish he was still here, I'm sure his artistic evolution would have continued.
pure love for this man
Absolute modern performance ,seems do it right know, and the next future .....also more modern than always❤️❤️❤️
Super
Love love love the energy to this song - he gave energy to so much
Probably in my top 10 (or maybe top 20) of his songs, although you really don't hear much mention of it.
Me too ,,, :)
I feel like it's one of those songs that requires focus so people don't give it the attention it deserves.
Thank you for these videos. I hadn’t seen this! Such an amazing man and performance from them all!

@The93rdStreetSchool I have got a playlist; as I think it is not possible to post a link here, just look for the "Loreley" playlist on my channel. It is not totally complete, but most of the performances are collected there.

do we know what this song is about?
Sleekcartim .sleekcartim...tbe Minotaur

The Voyeur of Utter Destruction
David Bowie
I shake
And stare at the sun
Till my eyes burn
I shake
At the mothers brutal vermin
I shake
And stare at the watery moon
With the same desire
As the sober Philistine
And I shake
(Turn and turn again)
Worm, the pain and blade
Turn and turn again
The screw
Is a tightening Atrocity
I shake
For the reeking flesh
Is as romantic as hell
The need
To have seen it all
The Voyeur of Utter Destruction
As beauty
I shake
Turn and turn again
I shake
Turn and turn again
I shake
I shake
I shake
Research has pierced
All extremes of my sex
Call it a day
Call it a day
Needle point life
Blinds the will to be next
Call it a day
Call it a day
