  • Elegant, powerful version of this track: a cyber-funk with jazz touches. From "1.Outside", a masterly concept album that needs all the attention for penetrating deeply, so allowing to its irresistible charms to give off a cascade of diamonds.

More attention should be paid to Mike Garson's awesome piano parts! Most of the times the camera "forgets" about him! He is so great!

I agree. Like all the Greats, knows be humble. Garson LOVES what he does. Repeating again, one of the greatest improvisers, versatile, talented, professional, from a solid bg of Classical & Jazz. He played with giants as Evans, Hancock, Tristano, Clarke, Jones, Konitz, Hubbard. He loves all music, as long as it is creative. From 72 with Bowie: a tuning as perfect freedom. University teacher, composer & researcher of Music as spiritual inspiration & enjoyment. A great Being. I love him. Thanks.

    I fully agree!
OUTSIDE is undoubtedly a masterpiece of music and literature, which should be listened to several times, since it contains many keys of reading, mostly in hermetic form.
It was expected the sequel, but Bowie has always been unpredictable, perhaps even himself, ha ha.
    Thank you, dear Gea.

How can everyone over there, that lucky lucky people, exist, just sitting , without exploding?
    I do not understand.
I just realized I will die.. sooner or later, without ever hearing Bowie's voice live,..just never in my life.. and TVOUD, I just think I'll never hear it live from anyone..
Im so jealous. that's the truth.

+ultrazealot oh I agree with you totally. I was very blessed to have been able to see him live 11 times. and I tell you, I didn't give a hoot about anybody else there. I was dancing, jumping, crying and singing every time. He was a brilliant man

You're right. Most of that audience is dead and it's not fair that they're there acting like statues when the likes of you and me would have been jumping for joy. But, look at it this way, we're getting more out of just watching a YT video than they did watching the guy actually perform in front of them. Can you imagine being that lame and empty inside? I'd rather be us. At least we know a good thing when we hear/see it and we can enjoy it.

It starts to build at 3:32 then by 4:10 Bowie is so spent by Reeves Gabrels's masterful solo, he's gotta smoke a cig. Love it!

I shake.
Mancava completamente questo video, scoperto causalmente.
    Kiss.

I always wanted to tell a girl while on a date that I find the reeking flesh as romantic as hell just to see what she would say.

    @VampireBowie
    "Call it a day
    Needle point life
Blinds the will to be next
Call it a day, call it a day..."
Hard to discern today, in this din. Every so often, let's stop. Increasingly urgent refine listening in ourselves, to understand the functions.
Destruction is possible when the magnetic needle shifts too much to one of two extremes. Perhaps, a thin economic law, intrinsic, micro/macro, cosmic, not always easy to soon accept...
    Dearest, thanks.
