I now appreciate this car very much for the insane technical achievement that it is. That weight, so well balanced. That engine, pushed to unthinkable limits, yet reliable at the same time. It is truly an engineering feat. The g forces this car can put with would cripple exotics like the 911. But yeah, on its glory days, I really hated it. It made me hate anything related to it. The entire fandom around the gtr and japanese racing culture. Fame does this to you. Great accolades makes for a lot of noise that some people might like and others dont.

Yep 7 years and still laughing at its epic fail attempt at le mans. To be ‘incredible, in sport car terms it at least needs to when this most iconic race at least once, in any class, Its Never won once! Pretty much every other ‘incredible’ sport car has. GTR= hugely overrated.
On e90 bmw you can "program" a L/100km meter that shows how much your fuel consumption is at that exact moment. On my 330i it goes to 140L/100km for a moment when flooring it through the first gear.
And here we are, 12 years later, and car journalists still love this car, and it does not disappoint, when put against modern cars. This is not even considering what the aftermarket can do with them. Truly a masterpiece of engineering.

The truth is that this Nismo GTR is more of an accessory than a race car for the track, although it still looks pretty good and fast from the outside. Fast-and-furios-ish!
@lx blb Yeah for what ? For a couple of laps on its tires ? The the RWD mid engine Porsche wears out the rear tires, then turning in the center goes away meanwhile the GTR nismo has more of an equal wear and BUT more weight and AWD and it can turn in the center better and it can hold a consistent pace over the porsche and then for a good 8 or 10 lap run, the GTR will stay consistent. But if you are talking about running 1 lap then yes of course a 911 turbo can destroy a GTR. But if you do a 50 lap shoot out race between the two, haha GTR will win.
The GTR NISMO is one of the most aggressive looking super-cars out there. As I get older, this is one of my top 3 daily drivers. The AWD system, the grip, its unreal. It's hard to crash the car with how intelligent it is!

The R32 didn't do as much as the R35 in racing. And the R32 Calsonic was the fastest yes but not on the performance of a GT3 R35 or a GT500 R34 for example. And the R35 can't race in GT4 because it's too fast for this category... The GT-R racing cars only compete on GT3 and GT500. The fastest official class with GTE (except LMP).
Not quite so - for example Aventador doesn'ät even have touchscreen infotainment allthough the models has been updated fromn regular to S to SV to SVJ.

The infotainment system seems like a prank. Like at any moment a japanese talkshow master jumps out of the trunk and laughs at you for paying almost 200K for that.
I’d pay the 180k without caring about the infotainment system. As long as the car can play my music and take phone calls, then it’s good enough. I pay for a car, not a piece of tech.

The Nismo GTR sounds expensive but actually it's not. It will last as much as double then other supercars mentioned in the review. That engine is bulletproof and can be tuned to doubled its power and still been reliable and daily driven. I will take the GTR anyday anywhere.
I think you still get that perception of driving a video game because of which country it comes from, how high-tech it is, it’s legacy because of that, and most of all, that G-meter, oil pressure, boost pressure geeky stuff you can access via the infotainment system. That’s where the “video game” element comes across the most.
My 2009 gets low 10's in the 1/4. 750 WHP on 93 and 800+ WHP on E85. 2015 motor, transmission, lights, and front bumper. It's a bit lower, 0.75", so is a bit harsh even in comfort mode. But corners like crazy on it's 285 front / 345 rear Pilot Sport 4S's. Greddy Ti midpipe and exhaust. Sounds so sweet. It's a raw brute. Godzilla
Yeah there are definitely cars for the same price I’d rather buy, but I feel like this Nismo is finally capturing the look and feel of the later R34s that I fell in love with. And for that, I really do like it
R32 GTR's were right around $60k after converting to USD (inflation adjusted). The R35 is a great halo car, but the price means it is low volume, which reduces manufacturing efficiency, which increases price more. The beauty of the R32 (and to a lesser extent the R33 and R34) was the platform and engine family was shared between many different trims. Huge volume and interchangeable parts was a tuners dream.
In France, we have a youtuber who spoke about his experience with the GTR Nismo, then his test of an 800hp M5. He says he thought the GTR Nismo was already very violent, but the M5 800hp is even more violent. To the point of making you sick, your organs are so crushed. So imagine a 1000hp M5.
M5 is a unnerving cars. Both F10 and F90 keep moving around from 200km/h and up. You can't even trust the seat as it's also moving around at high speed on not so smooth tarmac.
I would like to see what this car can do vs the 992, not only on a straight line race, what about a time attack race in a circuit? I personally love the gtr, she aged so well and it's absolutely crazy to think that this car is 14 yo, this car changed the world of supercars when she was born in 2007, now we need a new gtr, it's time for the r36. Nissan must go back to being what it once was. Great video as always, pls do a "classic" review about the c63 amg black series.

The r35 GTR nismo is my favorite sports car although it is very very outdated and the price is unreasonable due to that factor. The GTR will always go down in history as a Nissan's best car.

I have no problems with the price of a car that has everything done to it already, but I have the from lip spoiler; it make the car look extra boxy, and the 2017 and up GTRs are much improved in looks. They are great cars, and capable of massive performance upgrades. The creator of the GTR credits its great handling on its weight, so they are unapologetic about that.

R32 GTR's were right around $60k after converting to USD (inflation adjusted). The R35 is a great halo car, but the price means it is low volume, which reduces manufacturing efficiency, which increases price more. The beauty of the R32 (and to a lesser extent the R33 and R34) was the platform and engine family was shared between many different trims. Huge volume and interchangeable parts was a tuners dream.

In France, we have a youtuber who spoke about his experience with the GTR Nismo, then his test of an 800hp M5. He says he thought the GTR Nismo was already very violent, but the M5 800hp is even more violent. To the point of making you sick, your organs are so crushed. So imagine a 1000hp M5.
M5 is a unnerving cars. Both F10 and F90 keep moving around from 200km/h and up. You can't even trust the seat as it's also moving around at high speed on not so smooth tarmac.

I would like to see what this car can do vs the 992, not only on a straight line race, what about a time attack race in a circuit? I personally love the gtr, she aged so well and it's absolutely crazy to think that this car is 14 yo, this car changed the world of supercars when she was born in 2007, now we need a new gtr, it's time for the r36. Nissan must go back to being what it once was. Great video as always, pls do a "classic" review about the c63 amg black series.

To get the best 0-60 out of a GT-R you need to use launch control and hold it for about 3 seconds to build up boost and off you go

Well if it comes out it will most likely be a hybrid, Nissan themselves said its much harder to make a performance car these days with the amount of new laws and restrictions implemented thru the years.

The r35 GTR nismo is my favorite sports car although it is very very outdated and the price is unreasonable due to that factor. The GTR will always go down in history as a Nissan's best car.

Because it's perfored CBC brake made for the track. It need to be heat up. This is why full disc are advised for every day driving. The 'normal' GT-R made *29m* and the Porsche Turbo S made *28m.*

the 2015 Nismo GTR just beat the world's fastest undefeated Lamborghini and in Tx2k21. Which is a huge deal in the racing world

I have no problems with the price of a car that has everything done to it already, but I have the from lip spoiler; it make the car look extra boxy, and the 2017 and up GTRs are much improved in looks. They are great cars, and capable of massive performance upgrades. The creator of the GTR credits its great handling on its weight, so they are unapologetic about that.
