This is the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, the most extreme version of the Aventador… And Mat’s got his hands on one for a full in-depth review!
It’s fair to say there’ll be no mistaking the SVJ for a standard Aventador. There’s a load of exterior design changes, from a front bumper that’s filled with vents and carbon fibre, through to an absolutely massive wing at the back!
But of course, not all changes are so noticeable at first glance. Just like the standard Aventador, the SVJ comes with an awesome 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12. However, unlike the standard edition, the SVJ can put down 770hp & 720Nm of torque!
So, it looks awesome, it sounds incredible, and it’s limited to only 900 editions worldwide! The question is, is it really worth the astronomical £360,000 starting price?! Well, you’ll have to stick with Mat to find out!

Yes a dual clutch would’ve been better, but I like to think lambo intentionally kept in the single clutch because of the way it aggressively shifts thus how it feels. Even the sound from the outside it’s such a hard shift and sounds amazing. Make it feel like a car that wants to kill you
And for that reason a dual clutch would've been worse. It would have made this car a lamb instead of the beast that it is.
Everyone criticised the single clutch. But it still had a very fast shift time and those violent shifts look so fun

The svj has to be one of the best exotic cars out there, it's so eye-catching, and the moment you see one you can't help but to stare at it. The Aventador is my favorite car of all time, and the svj version just makes it even better
I gotta agree. The Aventador is definitely one of my favorite cars from 2010s. The SV, SVJ, and more importantly, Aventador J are definitely my favorite cars.

I drove one of these on a track. The jerky up shifts were exactly what made it awesome. Every time you pulled for a gear, it kicked you in the back…unlike the sanitised dual clutch systems, which just give you a boring experience.
It shows the true purpose of sportscars, its a masterpiece👌

To be honest I kinda wish especially on these race car versions that they would mount the shift paddles to the steering wheel. It may just be my preference but they’re a lot easier to feel when they’re on the wheel and most if not every open wheel race car has them on the wheel and not the collum

No, Lamborghini said that the next aventador will keep the v12 but will be hybrit, they need to make them hybrit to keep up in races with othet brands

At both the SVJ vs Performante and SVJ vs 812 vs 911 Turbo S drag races, SVJ did a 10.4 sec quarter mile. Today, it did 10.8 seconds.
So in theory, 10.4 sec quarter mile times, the SVJ actually does 2.8 sec for 0-100

Great question about the tire measurements and what I looked up was presumably because of the US and Brits and horse carriages wheels were commonly measured in inches and because of traction low tire walls and radial tires metric became the norm of width.
So with time it just became tire width/tire wall/wheel size and for ease in millimetres/percentage/inches… speed codes and many other useful informations.
