It may be raining, but this could still be one of the greatest carwow drag races of all time!
We’ve got Mat lining up in his all-new BMW M5 CS, and next to him we’ve got a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ & a Nissan GT-R NISMO!!
Now we’re sure we don’t need to tell you, but the stats on these cars are absolutely WILD! First up we have the BMW, which is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that’s good for 635hp & 750Nm of torque. It weighs in at around 1825kg, and it’ll set you back £141,000.
Then we’ve got the Lambo, which houses an almighty 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 under the bonnet, which can put down 770hp & 720Nm of torque! Lamborghini claims it weighs in at around 1500kg, and it’ll burn a huge hole in your pocket, costing upwards of £360,000!!
Then finally we have the Nissan. It’s powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6, and it’ll produce 600hp & 650Nm. It’s lighter than the BMW, at 1700kg, but it’s also more expensive, costing around £180,000.

its really crazy how much the car World changed. 20 years ago nobody would have thought that fwd hatch backs do faster track times than full blown sports cars from Ferrari and Porsche..
also nobody would have thought that sedans or wagons could do the numbers they are doing right now. Im really excited for what is to come in the next years!

The 2020 Shelby GT500 deserves a spot imo because it's a mid 10 second car and it has a DCT transmission. The Shelby GT500 is a beast in roll races.

Mat did a 10.94s quarter mile in a GTR nizmo in it's in depth review video. If the weather conditions were good, without any doubt it will give a good competition ❤🎉
The way the CS launched in round 2 I did not think Mat would be able to beat that launching manually lol

In this race he did a 11.5 but in dry conditions he did a 10.9. So m5cs definitely can go faster
Crazy right? He nearly wins in round 2 because of an AMAZING launch but the car short shifted from 3rd to 4th so instead of doing launch control again & once rolling manually shifting the car himself, he decides to brake boost & got his butt kicked. 😂😂 Makes no sense

That GTR is really showing its age now... The launch control, especially in the wet, was always its party piece. The M5 makes it look like Maxima by comparison.
BMW has underrated the hp figures of the M5 CS as 635 but in real world dyno tests it shows 700+hp on crank and 630-650whp.
Gtr aiint doin no 11.7 in a quarter tho lets be real lil. A better driver would have a better result
@@ront5689 it's wet track so traction is less than the dry conditions. Nismo can do 10.8s on dry and SVJ 10.4s

Yup the GTR is still an insanely fast car for anyone who lives in the real world, but like 10-12 years ago it would spank anything and everything and that's just not the case anymore. Others have caught up and the GTR just can't compete anymore on the very highest level.
Shame really, sure a Lambo being faster than a Nissan is just kind of the natural state of the world but the GTR name really deserved a successor before it started losing to big ass business sedans :/

The Nissan wasn't really aligned with the other car, it was in front of everyone when they started racing so it's kinda cheating: idk if we can consider that a win.

That BMW M5 CS is no joke~ That 4.4-L V8 performs so well, and none of that 635 HP is wasted at all. The way this thing takes off and hooks is mindblowing.
What are the tyres (on the lambo, for example). In my experience, Michelin Supersport and the like are not good at all in the (cold)rain. And noticeably frightening when braking very hard. That could explain (who knows) the huge braking distance of the lambo.
Matt has another video where the M5CS did 10.9 in wet weather.

Ive driven a couple M5 Cs’s with different tunes, let me say, for a 4 door BMW it is a feeling that will give you chills, the aggression in the acceleration is mindblowing after only being in M328i or the X3 MComp

Actually, the actual values for 1/4 mile are as follows: Lamborghini SVJ: 10.3 second,BMW M5 CS: 10.6 second,Nissan GT-R R35: 10.8 second. But it's really interesting that GT-R's engine is very old but it can compete with new cars.

Cant go wrong with either imo, C8 is also nice. Im a car enthusiast, I don’t care where they are from.

Fun fact, narrower tires fair better in the rain one wide tires. The wider the tires are the more hydroplaning that happens.
