- In 2016 the Nissan GT-R was given a major facelift since it was originally launched nine years ago in 2007. The idea was to make the GT-R easier to live with for everyday use, whilst not compromising on the sporty nature of this coupe. Nissan hoped this would allow the GT-R to compete against rivals such as the Jaguar F-Type Coupe, Mercedes AMG GT and Porsche 911 Turbo S in both design quality and, performance. Wow, can't believe it did 0-60 in 3 seconds in such wet conditions. so maybe the old factory claim of 2.7 seconds on the previous Nismo was real after all.
No it's not Nissan conveniently fudged the numbers by boosting the turbos on there media cars

@@inspirice9844 I'm not sure about that. I do believe that Nissan Made there Test/Media GTR faster by dialing up the boost to hype them up. Please check this article and it points out to it

@@arabiantxn Did they use launch control, normally when the engine is still being broken into, you can't use it, and with the cars they were testing they were probably too low kms for launch control, still pretty impressive numbers without it tho

We'll just have to buy more toblerones to feed the addiction. Also - it's still one of the best value chocolate bars because you have to spend the 10 minutes after eating it picking bits out of your teeth. It's the gift that keeps on giving

Maybe it doesn't have the latest interior or the most responsive touch screen, but once you launch this car from 0, you'll fall in love with it. This thing is one hell of a launching machine
You know, this is great. So many other reviewers only talk about things like lap times and 0-60 runs, I really like knowing how this car would be like every day from a guy who actually does care about such things and is really good at it.

@@ARXInfinite fucking dumb kid. Nsx was a supercar killer at a fraction of price in the 90s. Honda pioneers in engines and reliability. Quality of honda cars are at par if not better than Nissan.

Alexander Fattoum I bought my stock R34 strictly as an investment. With only 11k miles it's value is skyrocketing.
But if I was to own a Skyline to tune, modify and drive (and still make a sound investment mind you) it would be an R32. They've grown on me so much in the last few years.

Great video! Great channel. The GTR still is a fast car. The 0 to 60 time of 3,0 seconds in this vid was on wet road. So it should do around 2,8 sec on dry road :).
The Alfa Giulia Quattrofogloigolioisoolooosjoo......... is with no doubt one of the best lookin' cars on the market with a fantastic horsepowerd engine but i definately won't get one over the GTR.

This is the best video so far! I think most buyers with that sort of dosh would get a 911 though. I can't see many people going for the GTR unless they're an enthusiast or already have a 911.

This car can push it's limit up to around 330 km/h!!! That's just unbelievable and insane! No doubt this car is definitely worth the price cuz it is a FOUR-SEATER COMPACT car and has such incredible horsepower and speed! This is currently the only best sports dream car I ever wanted!

Not strictly true my friend But you can, or I should say.....you used to be able to 😲🤔 back in the mid to late nineties, I used to own a TVR Cebera 4.2 which could do 0 - 60 mph in just 4 seconds and it had a top speed of 190 mph and cost around the same price as the Nissan GTR is today, second hand prices even before they went out of production was the way to buy one as often they would be advertised for sale for a fraction of the original price 😲👍 my pet hate though was the cabin noise, it was very loud and often deafening on the ears when driving fast....which was most of the time 🙄🙄😆

Tesla's are shite! We have a Tesla repair shop around where i live and there are like 25!!! Tesla's with a broken axle just laying around! I mean sure they are fast but man Tesla cant build a fucking axle properly. Recently a cheap Golf and a Tesla crashed with very low speed (directly after a green light at an intersection). Guess which car was more damaged? The 100K Tesla of course. Got his Axle broken of course! The poor lad wanted to have a replacement car for the time being (they told him he has to wait 6 months for his Tesla to be repaired), but the guys at tesla said he will not get anything! Thats just ridiculous.
Even in those wet conditions, this AWD system is crazy to give this car traction and grip that it needs during that launch control~~ I don't know if there is anything that this AWD system cannot do. The GT-R is still insane with the launch.

Yup. 911 Turbo S is comparable and that's like… £130k+

If you're looking to save 3000 pounds on a GTR, then you shouldn't be shopping for one.

Different if you were buying a Buggatti Veyron, the GTR is still a humble car that most above-average daily people can afford to get, $3000 is a lot of money to save.

Reasonably informative but, in order to provide a more balanced and real-life report, maybe you should include a short section on slow driving in town with traffic jams, hill starts and multi-level car parks with tight turns. Fast starts with launch control are fun but don't really reflect everyday use.
