Hello Chef Ange. I made this tonight, along with some Yukon gold mash potatoes and green beans. The Salmon was a hit, cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. I love that the glaze was thin and just enough to give the Salmon extra flavor. I can't wait to make it again for my family. Thank you!
I cooked this salmon dish last night. Delicious!! I used bay seasoning and sake wine instead. A garlic press was helpful. I skipped transfer step, and let salmon rest on baking sheet. Unfortunately, salmon skin stuck to sheet. Cooked jasmine rice, green beans, yukon gold potatoes. Truly did taste restaurant "worthy". Thanks Chef.
This was by far the best recipe I tried and it was phenomenal. The only thing I have done is marinated my salmon for 4 hours in the same sous that he spreads on it.
Thank you for sharing your recipe with everyone. It's a delicious moist yet tender and flaky treat, I also added some crushed red pepper flakes and served with potatoes I baked alongside the Salmon.
This was SO GOOD! I am not a seafood fan usually, but I have learned to be okay with salmon occasionally. I have not yet met any other fish that I like. I actually LOVED this salmon, so kudos to Chef Ange for this recipe! Delicious!
Tip - to avoid albutemin (sp?) aka the white stuff that appears on the fish's side use kosher salt on fish, and place in fridge for an hour OR put fish in kosher salt water for like 30 minutes and be sure to pat dry b4 adding spice rubs.
Can there be a tip within the tip?😅 I tried the kosher salt method for 30 min and still got some of the white, does this method completely take care of it and is there an error on my side ?
Hi Chef Ange, I am new to your channel, and I like the way you made the honey garlic salmon, looks delicious. I can't wait to make it. Thanks for sharing.
Omg! I made this salmon tonight for dinner. Both my husband and I loved it! I don’t know if you’re a trained chef, but it seems so! I’ve made a few of your recipes. The butternut squash soup was awesome! I’ve made it twice!
Glad you and your husband are digging the food! You must be an excellent cook because a recipe is nothing with someone who knows what they are doing in the kitchen backing it up! 😉
I skipped out on the maple syrup and it was still pretty amazing! The salmon was tender and incredibly flavorful. Made for a great dinner tonight and a lunch im looking forward too tomorrow!
Looks great, will try this, wife and I eat Salmon once or twice a week. Thanks for the blackening seasoning tip, I looked it up how to put one together, seems very similar to a cajun seasoning. I already put together the base seasoning after watching another vid. I am going to use a garlic press, I don't want to put my knuckles at risk, I've scraped them too many times
Your are great teacher very clear and informative. Thank you! I’ll be making this. What kind of fish did you use. I love steelhead Would you recommend it.
grate the garlic over a small piece of foil or paper and then add it to the glaze. dropping it into the glaze makes it even more difficult to grip and grate. good recipe. gonna try it.
Hey Chef. Could you do the entire cook on the wire rack, for air flow? Or are both types of baking sheets mandatory? Love this and going to do it tomorrow!
I absolutely love salmon. This is a great recipe. I'm definitely going to make this. Maybe with your crispy roasted potatoes on the side. Mmmmm I had blackened salmon at a restaurant once with a honey tequila glaze on it. So good. I cant wait to try this. Thanks Chef Ange 🙏
Im currently making this just without sesame seads [im out] and with a tiny bit of white vinegar, and oh my, This guy is onto something because the smell alone is mouthwatering lol Im so glad i stumbled upon this, Todays the first day of Lent so i decied to go with a delicious salmon which i havent had in forever and this was the first reciepe that popped up! Update: 10/10 Def gotta try this, Noe my house smells amazing too 🔥🤙🏼
This looks amazing! I’ve never heard of blackening seasoning. I live in Australia 🇦🇺 maybe one of your followers would know where this can be purchased?!
love the fact you didn't use butter or sugar, was looking for something on the healthier side. also could you be more specific on the ratios used in the sauce? in the description it just says a few teaspoons of everything
@@ChefAnge thanks gonna give it a try now, also whats the point of using your pre mixed seasoning (salt pepper onion garlic powder) when blackened seasoning already has those within it. would it be overkill?
Making this for dinner… it looks so good! (Every time I hear you say line in the pan with foil to make cleanup easier I can’t help but think that the foil will stay in the landfill forever just so it takes me five minutes less to do the dishes… am I the only one who feels bad about that? LoL) Thanks for the recipe!
@@ChefAnge All I hear and see is a LIST of the ingredients: honey, soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar and garlic cloves. How much of each? I'm not a natural cook; cooking and seasoning do not come easily to me, so I have no idea of how much of each to use.

incidentally I just came here to comment that I also made it, and my sides were yukon gold oven baked slices and green beans.

The best recipe ever!!!! Outstanding!!! Delicious!!! !!!
Thank you so much 😃
Looks perfect. I was wondering with the cooking time how it wasn't over cooked.
It’s done when it’s done. Smaller pieces cook quicker and larger take longer. Also all ovens are different
No fuss straight forward presentation. Very nice.
Thank you so much!
Looks great; for those of us who prefer salmon a lille rarer I suppose can just reduce initial cooking to about 7 minutes.
Totally. Make it how you like it!
Looks so delicious! Thank you! The name of honey salmon with the appearance is attractive!

Great tip!
what is blackening seasoning? is there an alternative to it?
• Paprika
• Garlic powder
• Onion powder
• Dried thyme
• Cayenne pepper
• Black pepper
• Salt
You are showcasing whole foods in the best way.
Thank you so much! I love cooking and this is how i cook for myself and family every day.
Turned out yummy. Will keep that recipe for a repeat!
Please do!

Hey Chef. Could you do the entire cook on the wire rack, for air flow? Or are both types of baking sheets mandatory? Love this and going to do it tomorrow!
Nothing is mandatory! Work with what you have. That’s the essence of real cooking.
Delicious video! You can vary this recipe by replacing the honey and soy sauce with teriyaki sauce, which is usually sweet and salty.
Yum!

Is the paul prudhomme seasoning good to replace the blackening seasoning?
Yes I do use that like a more mild blackening seasoning.

I love salmon, where do I get the blackening spice, I'm in London UK ! Is it just called that ?
Yes. Thats the generic name for the spice blend. Used in the southern US cooking.

Here is the formula to convert .
C = ( F - 32 ) ÷ 1.8
F = C × 1.8 + 32
Where C is Celsius
and F is Fahrenheit.
