The Shadowdancer prices are ridiculous. $100 for fuchi/kashira? $120 for a tsuba?? $180/$260 for tsuka/saya that...fits??! This is like a car dealership...they make the real money from the add-ons.
I think it's more of an oddity of the way they're choosing to lay things out. They could just as easily start with a base price of, say, $350 (or whatever is accurate), and then the f/k is included unless you select a premium one.
Yes, I skipped over this during the video, but there's an option to add comments to an order. Swordis mentioned to me that custom sori dimensions are possible by using the comments. I'm sure it would add to the cost of the order.
Swordis let me know they've already fixed one other typo in this video - the standard tsuka length is 10", not 11".
Pretty fun, even just to play around with. Love all the different options!

Yeah, my mousewheel cosplays as an actual mouse. One of these days I should do something about it.
@@alientude Still made me smile.
You know of the Yarinohanzo katana builder? Has been similarly nice for ages :)
I haven't seen it before. Will check it out.
Do they have the option to make blades with custom sori?
