you should rebuy the newer version of this sword and test them against each other. Your version is likely made by Windlass, the new version is made by LKChen, you can tell by the bright red leather

Have you seen the kill bill from Sheng Sword? More expensive but the blade finish and polish is amazing and worth the price. Also it's an L6 blade

Now I am actually glad that I got the demon instead of this one. Just did my first impression video of it. With my level of vision and let's have someone help me is hard for me to see the details on the furniture of the katana depending on the clarity of the photos iconography or anything. There are demons on the tsuba. You and a handful of other people have done a good job reviewing some sorts from ROM which has inspired me to continue doing my affordable weapon review series I hope that you and the others keep up the awesome work :-)

They were too long for conventional carry. Shoulder it like a rifle.

I love the guard, not a fan of the pommel.

I actually got this sword a couple of months ago, ended up cutting off the cord on the hilt and sewed on a black leather grip with a few risers. I love the look, though it does seem remarkably heavy. In the works later is cutting off the pleather scabbard cover and using that as a pattern to cut it out of real leather. In regards to the harness, I made my own based off of Tod's Workshop's designs, just for about $60 cheaper lol. One thing that upset me was, while I was trying to remove the nut holding the grip on, it chewed up about 2 or 3 threads on the tang before I realized what was going on.

Interesting thing... as a historical sword, I would take point off, but as a functional Strider sword, it gets bonus points for imitating the best. 😅

I would say that this price point appeals to 90% of new people looking for their first sword.. You really feel like you're getting a bargain compared to the swords we actually want, which are at 300 to 400. So I would ask: Could you please make a video of 5 alternatives in this price range (being 150 to 220 or so). I think that would make a quick and easy video to go with this one.. This thing is pretty heavy, but for the price-- you do get a lot IMO. Especially if it really is 5160 spring steel like it says. 5 alternatives that are better than this one: at this price range-- would be a fantastic video. :) cheers.

You wear it over your back.. And then you just pull the strap and rotate the entire sword around to the front when you want to pull it in a hurry.. It will be upside down at that point, but you can easily pull it then. I practice a similar carry with AR15's. A little strange for a sword, but it can still be done

I think something worth mentioning about the sword’s quality is that there is a significant market of people who like the disheveled/imperfect profile of a blade for historical reasons. Swords were in demand back then and their quality would take a hit when blacksmiths were churning them out.

I like his swords bc I feel like if a medieval person saw them they would think they are not unusual at all. They would probably think an Albion is quite unusual and especially Atrim with his machined pommels and guards. Very well done review!

I just got this Bastage. It is my 3rd sword from Ronin Katana and it is definitely the best balanced and I can already tell it will be my favorite.

Oh good.. So it's coming soon. There's another Amazon sword that I would like you to review.. it's very similar to this, except it's claimed to be a 1095 rather than 5160 like this one.. Honestly, I think it's the exact same sword.. It has the exact same cross guard and handle, and fuller. I can't type the name because youtub3 will just nuke my comment. But it's easy to find-- there's only 3 on there that look like this.

Metal! 🤘💀 Nice cutting kyle! Sweet static cut! Multiple cuts on one target, Combo on the milk jug, double decap, empty cardboard tube thing...lol etc. Empty small bottles are like impossible lol I got one once, haven't hit another. There's a couple katana Bros here on yt who have it on lock but they're freaks of nature as far as I'm concerned lol. I have to resist the temptation to pick up that new BA gallowglass sword so I can get me an atrim. This is the one we were talking about that one time you were waiting to get back sharpened right? Well worth the wait, I'd say!
