Budget isn’t an alternative. It should always be the first step. Never invest too much into something until you have experience. Start budget always, even if you can afford not to.
I agree to an extent; don't splurge a fuckton into something you know nothing about (duhh), but starting your buys with the lower-end stuff might mean you lose out on some high-end stuff if your plan is to buy certain high-end things in the near future regardless. The more common something is, the riskier it gets.
I started out collecting with budget in mind and it kind of bit me back. I could've bought a SDK Blue-Eyes but instead bought several different modern cards and now SDK Blue-Eyes is 3~4 times in value and out of my price range. I just can't see myself spending well over $10k on one card.
Just subscribed today, I’m glad I’ve found your channel! I just got back into YUGIOH recently since stopping in 2012. I find your videos very informative, keep up the great content 👌🏻👍🏻🍻
Recently started to invest in yugioh (mostly because of this channel!) by buying collection binders off of Facebook market place. Some are amazing, and some are a crapshoot - but definitely something that has helped build my collection, and selling some of the singles to make a profit, to then turn and buy more!
You're the most clever person I know and I need your advice. I live in the country, where there are no Yugioh cards. But Id like to make some collection and maybe play some games with friends. Should I buy some booster packs, or just play structure decks?

I'd be really interested in your views on ultimate rare collecting. I've been collecting ulti's and oldies for a while - purely personal choice that I love the ultimate rare print. This channel is always super interesting and has definitely helped with my 'oldies' side of collecting. I'm assuming you're not a massive fan of ultimates, but so far they've been a really good investment (albeit not as big returns as old cards), but pretty good if you're on a budget. Keen to hear your views ! :) Apologies if this was already a video, I couldn't find it!

Super insightful video as always! I'm curious on what's your take on identifying whether a PSA graded card has been tampered with or if you have any tips on making sure that the PSA graded card is authentic? I'm asking this because there is a seller on Ebay that are selling a set of PSA 10 cards that I'm interested in. The seller is an experienced one with I believe 10k+ sales, but has had negative reviews and people on different forums online has mentioned that there was tampering with the cards they sell. Thanks!
PSA cards have a number code on the bottom right, you can insert that number on their website and it will show info about the inputted data over that graded card. I hope this helps with your problem

Hi, thank you for your content! I was wondering if you could help me out? You helped me realize in selling I'm targeting players, and now I'm wondering how to find out if an older card wasn't reprinted and is worth more because of a new archetype? Like I already have a lot of yugioh cards and I want to be able to tell what might be worth something with how the game is going right now. You mention smoke grenade of the thief?
Absolutely. Only if your able to get it at a low cost though. Cause it’s already extremely high valued and it was only released like 1.5 years ago. The people who bought cases of those at msrp are already sitting prettty and gonna be climbing way higher still
The old one is from MRD. Unless they unban change of heart, I don't see how the secret would do well. If it's a goat staple, I can kinda see it... But I would never expect growth comparable to the vintage one. If you're just a fan of the card, though, you could just buy it to put in your collection and enjoy it? It doesn't all have to be a STONKS move.
