Thats exactly what I'd like to do to my 156 2.5 saloon. I have a donor 156 with a ti packages with dark trim. I'm afraid of setting off the side airbags though 😬 Also: is there any danger of snapping the clips when removing/reattaching the pillar trims?
Don't worry about airbags. You can't activate them. As for the clips on the pillars, carefully pull them with the help of one of the tools and they will all remain intact. Good luck.
