    People think that Carnivore is expensive but I find I spend less money when I cut out carbs. I usually have 3 eggs with 2 ounces of ground beef for breakfast. Something about adding meat to my eggs in the morning makes me happy 😊

    Sounds like a good plan👍
    I prep for a month, so I spend the entire month working out a menu and shopping list for the next month. I'll fuss about it, rework it, fuss some more, think about it, change it again BUT by the 1st day of the next month, I'll have a menu & list fixed and ready to go. I do walmart pick-up, Ran goes and picks up our groceries for 2 weeks and about day 12 or 13, he'll go pick up the shopping for the last half of the month. That way I'm not thinking at all about the food I'm making and eating, I'm think and planning for the next month. I'm a bit obsessive about planning and food, so this way allows me to be obsessive, make changes, obsesses some more without the food being on hand that I'm obsessing over. No triggering to eat it because it not at hand, and WHEN IT IS IN THE HOUSE, I don't think about it because I'm obsessing about next months meals.
    Works for me 🤷‍♀️😆

      That is sooooo stinking smart! I am usually planning for a week at a time, but it's just me. I like how your brain works. You sound super organized and efficient!

    • @gidget8717
      @gidget8717 2 місяці тому +1

      @@terrileist I read your reply to Randy and he nearly fell out on the floor he laughed so hard 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm not organized at all! You should see the notebook that a use to plan those menus and grocery lists. Randy describes it as, "looks like someone dip a chickens feet in ink and turned it loose on your notebook" its about 4 pages (front & back) of food, dishes, numbers and scribbles. And then one page of grocery list. The menus goes in a day planner that lays on the kitchen counter. Its controlled chaos. My notebook sits on the end table beside my recliner and multiple times a day, I picked it up and work out how much of something I'll need or sometimes I scratch something out and replace it because I've changed my mind about it. That's why I give myself a month, I always have a clear understanding of what I'm going to eat the next month. Finally after all these years, I know what triggers my binges and binges are what triggers my throwing in the towel and quitting. That all or nothing mentality. I'm indecisive. If I'm in the kitchen being indecisive, I will end up eating whatever is quick and easy, and that is usually food that is over processed and unhealthy or junk food. 🙄

      So I’m hoping that I can lose some inflammation and I’ll count calories to maybe lose these 10lbs I’ve gained over the past year and a half.

    Hi, when you say sf syrup.... Do you mean pancake syrup or the coffee syrups? I use the simple sf syrup in my coffee or on my oatmeal and such. Do you eat the same thing everyday? If you do wouldn't that be boring? I can say that would be very simple 👍 I wish I could do that but with my stomach it would make me sick. I need to lose 41 lbs. I am just counting calories and protein. I would love to try that cause it's so simple. I have tried carnivore before and it made me sick just to eat meat. Now, my hubby could do it. He loves meat. I think a lot of people drop weight pretty quickly just eating meat.🤮 Everybody is different though, lol. I tried doing eggs and meat and I just couldn't do it. I needed my carbs and veggies. I know if I would try to stick it out I would drop the 40 lbs pretty quick. I have been walking the treadmill for 20 minutes a day. I got serious on my journey on Monday. I am 3 days in and doing pretty well. I am going on vacation on Oct 21st and I have 15 weeks to try and get some weight off. Sorry I am talking your ear off, lol. Do you have any advice for me? I could really use some encouragement. Thank you for sharing Teri. Blessings 🫶🤗❤️

    • @terrileist
      @terrileist  2 місяці тому +1

      Good question! yes, i mean the sugar free coffee syrup, usually Torani or one of the ones from TJ Maxx.
      I will be eating the same thing every day. i change things up with seasonings. So usually i don't season my meat, and then use seasonings to change things up. I can use southwestern flavored seasonings and some sour cream or yogurt for a taco type meal, or some steak seasonings for a steak flavor, or some greek seasoning and some feta for a Mediterranean style meal.
      I actually like eating the same things, and to be honest i only change things up for my channel, I'd eat the same things every day if it wasn't for you all ha!
      When I was carnivore in the past I did it for 2 years. the first few weeks i developed a meat aversion, but I was in a lot of carnivore groups so I knew it would happen. I powered through and soon i was craving meat and not anything but meat. Also, that's what broke my addiction to carbs. Just taking them out of my life allows me now to be around carby foods and not be tempted.
      I think counting calories and protein is great! not every one needs carnivore, it's more of a personal decision and really is based on needs.
      To me, it sounds like you have your head on straight and are focused on doing the right thing for your body. My advice is to prep your foods so you don't have to wonder what you will eat and get tempted to go out because nothing is available to eat for your next meal. Also, I say to shop the outer aisles, eat whole foods, nothing from the middle aisles that is packaged and shelf stable, except a few garnishments like sauces or dressings, or some time of oil/tallow/lard.
      The biggest thing is to stay consistent, log, and watch the scale. If you're losing then don't change anything. if the scale stalls for 4-6 weeks that's when you have to make changes. if you are logging you'll know what your macros are and what to change. I had to lower my calories about every 10-15lbs that I lost, so that will be something you'll have to keep in mind.
      GREAT JOB making the change to better your health :)
