I’m so sorry for your loss, my husband of nearly 48 years passed a couple of months ago after suffering from cancer for 15mos. We both were in love with the beach! Keep reminding yourself of those awesome memories as you’re able ❤
If possible please show us your horse conch cleaned. I’d love to see it. I so look forward to your videos each week. Your voice, the gentle waves are so soothing and of course the lovely beach a Western Pennsylvanian doesn’t get to see often. Blessings to you.
I can't imagine the joy of finding a shell on the beach but I get my thrills too when I get them on line and when I get the package in front of me I get so thrilled that I literally am not able to speak. Good thing I nobody's around. Then again I know nobody here in Dallas that loves seashells.
I’m from Rowllet and went to Port Aransas or South Padre every summer from 1975-2004 then 2024 and let me tell you Port A looks like an explosion of New York
My mother would spend hours on the beach looking for seashells. We had a summer home on the Oregon coast. When mom passed my daughter took some of the shells and glued them to a mirror frame, it's beautiful, it hangs over her kitchen sink.
It’s Karma. You’ve been doing good for your part of the universe so the universe gave you something back. Will look forward to seeing that horse conch all cleaned up. Remember that awesome one you had for the give away? That was a stunner. Glad to see you and hoping you stay safe, hugs xx
The giveaway conchs are all soaking in a soap and water bath - almost cleaned up and ready to be auctioned. I'm excited about working on all the different things I want to auction off. I'm hoping work cooperates and it very quiet between now and the end of the year so I can tackle it all! I hope you and B are good. ❤️❤️❤️
What's up Sharmon! What a Pleasant Surprise finding a new Video. Thank u for sharing ur explore. Really miss spending Beach/Shell time with u. Blessed with a Huge Horse Conch n other amazing finds.
Congratulations on the huge horse conch...and those fighting conchs were wonderful, great array of color and stripes!!! So good to see you "at the beach."
The creature attached to that lovely Florida fighting conch looks like a dwarf lion's mane jelly fish. It's just a guess. Thanks for another wonderful adventure. Keeping all you SWF survivors in prayer; stay strong!
That was a soft coral not a jellyfish. I'm still learning the names of them, but if you go to a saltwater fish store they sell that exact same one she found on the fighting conch
I thought the creature on the Florida Fighting Conch looked like a little limpet. I will have to watch it again and try to pause the video. I used to love shelling when we lived in Coral Springs. We now live in Illinois and I enjoy walking the beach with you. It brings back wonderful memories.
Hi Sharmon, What a great haul of shells! I had to laugh when I saw all the FFC's. You are right, every one of them is gorgeous, especially that partial albino one. And that horse conch. WOW!! I'm so happy for you! Congratulations on finding it! Next time, there will be a Junonia, it's waiting there for you!😘 Thank you for taking us with you on your trips. Even now, when it's difficult to go. You're taking so much effort to go shelling and make videos. Thank you so much for doing that!! I wish you're having a wonderful week, filled with love and joy. Big hug and lots of love, xoxo ❤️, Ilona
Netherlands Beach Friend! I'm always so happy to see your comment. I had a fabulous time on Keewaydin and I'm thinking I'll probably be taking more trips here with so many of "my" beaches being closed. That horse conch was such a sweet surprise! Sending you healing and sunshine! ❤️
Wowsers! That Giant Horse Conch 😮 ❤ Great shell haul; lots of beautiful shells. Thank you, Sharmon, for sharing your shelling adventure; it was a blast 🐚 😊
Oh my gosh! I love all the beauties you found! Each one seemed better than the last one. What an awesome horse conch! Most every shell I have ever found was broken or chipped. It is about a four to five hour trip for me to get to the beach. Thanks so much for the video! Stay safe.
I am binge watching...love your content...and now I know the name of shells I’ve had for years! My grandparents lived in Florida years back and some good memories were made while shelling with grandma. I also find myself yelling at the screen...that’s a jewel box, Florida fighting conch, banded tulip, ...I’ve learned so much! I’m from Michigan and am obsessed with our beaches and all the cool rocks and fossils that are found exclusively in our state. I also love that you help the critters and share them with us too!
I love watching your videos!!! I've lived in North Carolina for a little over 2 years. This is my first time living east of Texas. Money is very tight, so I haven't made it to the beach yet, but I will!!! I've always loved seashells!!! I've learned so many names/types of seashells by watching your channel !!! I have a dream to go to southwest Florida and find all those shells for myself!!! I love the "Beach Time" you give us. I actually have a request in regards to that. One thing I really love to do when I'm at a beach is to look directly out into the sea and watch the waves forming. You See the swells out in the distance and get to watch them grow bigger, then break as they get closer to shore. It's so relaxing watching that! I get awestruck by the beauty and grateful to God for giving us this beautiful world!! Sorry, got a bit wrapped up just thinking about it. So, my request is, could you please, occasionally give us some shots facing the ocean for a few minutes during "Beach Time???" Congratulations on that Horse Conch!!!! I would probably almost faint if I found any kind of shell that size!!! Again, love the videos!! Thank you so much.
I really love your videos. Your kindness toward the creatures and the environment is inspiring. Thank you for sharing! I look forward to every video. 😊
So glad you got the beautiful Horse Conch!!!!! If anyone deserves to it was you!! Thank you for all the good you try to spread and your positive vibes! The universe sees that!! 🤗
Such a fabulous time you've given us.. treasures everywhere.. you know I love the hinged ones! Collect to your hearts content big thumbs up to Hemmingway!! Blessings! Kj
What a great trip, and so thankful to see the Snook Inn rebuilding. I love the way the beach rewards us for kindness, congratulations on the giant Horse Conch! The entire haul is beautiful.
Bedroom doors opened up as I yelled, YES!!! She got one, she found one!!😂😢 Unbelievable!! I’m so happy for you!! You’re such a beautiful hearted person and you’re always happy for others when they get what they want but at the same time you would love to find one too!! YAY!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You know when you were talking about the Mossy Arc shell, I looked at it and it reminded me of a pastry mom use to make. It was a circle that she filled and folded it in half then she’d snip it in the middle where it was curved and she then pinched the 2 small snipped pieces together and pinched it, that’s what that shell reminded me of. 🤷♀️ When you gave us our Beach Time, I teared up. 😢 It sounded so beautiful. I want to go shelling but low tide is always late at night for the best time. Looks like I’ll have to wait until it’s in the morning or afternoon. I miss the beaches. Thank you so much for this exciting video!! Have a great week and take care!!🥰☺️🐬🐬
Oh it's so annoying when the tides are either in the dead of night or some other time when we can't get to the beach. The tide coming in helped me on this one and removed just a little sand so I could see that beauty waiting for me 😃 Thanks so much for sharing my excitement!
Oh Sharman that is fantastic you got your second one!!!!!! I am so happy for you……You go girl!!!!!! One day I will find one have a few lightning welks that are big never a horse conch…. Long time watcher this one was special to me. My family and I are always in Ft Myers during the holidays but we had to cancel. So we are living through you right now lol. ❤
I’m so happy for you! I know you’ve wanted a large horse conch for a long time. Hurray!! You found some gorgeous shells today. Thank you for a wonderful trip to the beach! ❤🐚
The moon snails were so beautiful today. The banned tulips, fighting conch just beautiful. You always pick up trash and now you are getting the most beautiful shells. The horse conch has a very nice shell. I am sure you have an amazing shell collection. I wish I living near the ocean. The alphabet cone wow. The worm snails are just so unique. All the shells you got are all amazingly beautiful. The sounds of the waves are amazing as well. Thank you for all you do to help because of the hurricane. You all are still in my prayers. Thank you for you time showing your shelling videos. Have a great day.
Congratulations on the horse conch! Yes, Nature's way of saying thank you for helping the environment! I just love watching your videos, they always make me smile, even if I am sick...I hate the flu. 😞
Awesome finds on your walk. SO happy to see you on the beach and supporting local businesses at the same time. Next time I am in SWF I will go on tours with the companies that you have mentioned. Thank you for the best part of my week
Thank you so much for your videos, my family and i went to the gulf 2 years ago and me and my 16 yr old son spent most of our time looking for shells and he said that was the best time he has ever had !!! When we got home and told him what we have found he was so excited and cant wait to go shelling again,so thank you so much !!!!!!!!!!
You r so kind, thoughtful, caring and you deserved that find. Thanks for all you do for your communities, followers and shelling. You make a difference❣🦋❣🐚🐚🌊🌈
I would love to see your giant horse conch after you get it cleaned up. This was just an exceptional video. The hopefulness in you voice, your consideration of others whether they be individuals or businesses. AND finally... you took just about every fighting conch you found. It drives me crazy all the fighting conch you leave behind. I often fantasize that I'm behind you picking all them up. No, not a stalker. I have got to get to the Florida coasts someday. And Key West where I can visit with multi-toed kitten paws of Hemingway's polydactyl cats. My favorite type of kitten paws.
I remember a specific walk I made on Tigertail. I tried some new beach shoes and walked all the way to the end. It's probably over a mile to the end and I was picking up all the gorgeous fighting conchs I saw. By the time I was heading back, I was carrying my shell bag like a giant toddler - my bag was so heavy I was afraid it would break and it was digging into my shoulder something awful. So...I have learned to try to ignore those shells until I am leaving the beach. Of course it doesn't always work - there are always about a half dozen that I HAVE to have now, but honestly they are some heavy shells. I hope you do get to come here and collect some of those beauties for yourself - and meet the Hemingway cats!
Wow! What a day at the beach! Congratulations on the huge horse conch that is sooooo cool! 🎉🎉🎉beautiful shells as usual! I absolutely am head over heals for the nutmegs and todays was gorgeous!
As always, I just love your videos! Your large horse conch find brought back all the fun memories of when I found a 6 inch horse conch on Sanibel Island last spring. I spotted two of the little black knobs in the sand - through about a 18 inches of water. As I dug excitedly, I just kept saying to myself, "Please let it be whole!" It was whole, unoccupied, and after a couple bleach baths, is a beautiful salmon color. I'd love to find a really large empty one! Thank you for all you are doing to support local clean-up efforts and businesses.
Wow wow and oh wow!!!! You hit the jackpot in today's shelling. Loved those shark eye 🐚 I felt your excitement. The house conch was huge!! Have a great week!!!!
Yay! Nice haul of shells! I was so happy when I saw that you had put out a video this week. All those shells are lovely but the fighting conchs over all are my favorite of what I see you collating on your videos. They are so various in their colors, shapes and sizes . Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Thank you for sharing your adventure once again. I watch your videos all the time. The thing that makes your videos very interesting is the excitement in your voice, time after time. For me, it is as if I am there with you. You talk about every single shell, as if it is the most important shell. I love it. I have a love for shells, and see what you see in them. I am so excited to have found you. I have been to Florida only once and I just loved the shells we collected. I just wish I had known about the shell tours. Anywho, please keep sharing. Love every video.
Wow, what a fun trip with you again! And I could imagine you jumping for joy over the horse conch! Your shelling trips post Ian really bolster my spirits and hope that instead of my planned trip in January that maybe January 2024 it will happen.
What a find with that horse conch! It's so interesting to see how post-Ian Keewaydin has been seemingly full of them. I wonder if it was due to local die-offs in the populations there (for all I know there might have been a pile of giant horse conchs on Sanibel immediately after the storm LOL). It does seem that some shells can be partly albino, partially lacking pigmentation needed to produce color. That could totally be whats going on with that FFC you found. Cool finds!
The word on the street was Keewaydin had the conchs. I don't know if there is a large colony down there but Keewaydin definitely had the horses. And the only place I've seen lots and lots of live ones has been Dickman's island. Maybe the sea floor in that area is more conducive to the shells getting to the beach? Not sure, but Sanibel has not given me a big horse conch yet. I can't wait to go back and continue the hunt!
Yayyyyyyy! ( : Hi Sharmon! Sooo happy to hear/see your shell adventures! Woo hoo! ( : Wow! You found fantastic shells too! Let's go to the beach! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I love when the dolphins come to say hi! ( : Sooo fun! ( : Kiwadin Island looks amazing! ( : Hmmm...the Mossy Arc sure is funny looking! I agree! All your FL Fighting Conches are amazing! ( : I like the Ribbed Cantherous too! I love Lace Murexes! I like to take my time too and walk along as well! ( : You found some gorgeous banded tulips too! ( : Ohhh I love the purple calico scallop! Scallops are my absolute fav! ( : I love the turkey wings too! ( : Wow, what a gorgeous alphabet cone! Yesss! ( : I have never seen a spiny slippered snail before! What?! I wondered if you were in front now! Yayyyyyyy! ( : I love hinged shells too! ( : I was dying to see when you found that horse conch! It was huge and gorgeous! The design was amazing! Wow! ( : I would never have known that was a horse conch under the sand the way it was!! It took your trained eye to see that and know what it was! Greetings Sharmon! What a gorgeous assortment of Florida fighting conchs! WOW! I am delighted you found the horse conch! With such a small piece showing! Best regards, c
I found a lot of these shells in Naples. It was my first time in Florida and I was so delighted. You don’t see shells like these where I live in California.
I am sooooo happy for you. Your excitement of finding that beautiful horse conch is like me finding an amethyst when I’m out rock hounding!!! I love all of the rocks I find and tumble by the way, but I’m always on the look out for those beautiful flashes of purple. I have found a few, some very tiny ones and a couple of good size ones too. I was right there with you and totally shared your excitement. Sending sooooo much positive healing energy to you from Ontario Canada. Blessings dear one. Love Sherida ❤️
I've watched some of the gem mining shows on The Discovery channel and I'm fascinated that people can tell gems apart from the dirt. I guess it's like anything you're passionate about right? Thanks so much for sharing my shell joy!
That's a BEAUTIFUL horse conch. You deserve to find something so amazing. I can't wait to see the video of your Junonia finding you. I will never forget that you were the inspiration that got me out to one more beach the night before I left Florida. And that's when my Junonia found me. I will be so thrilled when your Junonia finds you. 😊
Oh Sharmon, that horse conch was GORGEOUS!! You found lots of other beauties too!! So so fun miss Rock Star!! Keewaydin is on my wish it for Sept. Can't wait to go on Hemmingway water shuttle. Who knows, maybe I will see you on my next trip down. Have a great week!!!!😄😍
We used to stay in a small cottage called Hill top , the small boat that took us to the island from the end of Gordon Pass was called the Tacumsa. there was a beautiful lodge where we had wonderful meals. The trees were full of wild parakeets. This was in the mid 80's. I still have a beach towel from the gift shop. I have boxes of beautiful shells collected over several years.
My husband and I enjoyed watching your videos during his illness. He passed last week, so I continue to watch with fond memories….
I’m so sorry for your loss, my husband of nearly 48 years passed a couple of months ago after suffering from cancer for 15mos. We both were in love with the beach! Keep reminding yourself of those awesome memories as you’re able ❤
❤️ I am so very sorry to hear about of the passing of your husband. I hope you find comfort in the memories. ❤️
If possible please show us your horse conch cleaned. I’d love to see it. I so look forward to your videos each week. Your voice, the gentle waves are so soothing and of course the lovely beach a Western Pennsylvanian doesn’t get to see often. Blessings to you.
I did show it at the end of this video in case you missed it: ua-cam.com/video/6CLIJEtHLws/v-deo.html
I can't imagine the joy of finding a shell on the beach but I get my thrills too when I get them on line and when I get the package in front of me I get so thrilled that I literally am not able to speak. Good thing I nobody's around. Then again I know nobody here in Dallas that loves seashells.
When I do shell exchanges it's pretty awesome opening each little wrapped treasure and seeing the contents. I love that feeling too!!
I’m from Rowllet and went to Port Aransas or South Padre every summer from 1975-2004 then 2024 and let me tell you Port A looks like an explosion of New York
The fighting conchs are so colorful. Like the white always love the horse conchs no matter what size
You are a rock star!! Congratulations on your horse conch!
Thank you!
Thank you for keeping up and keep on going...it is so cool ✌️❣️😇🙏😎☀️🎶🕺🧩🥳🎄🌹
Absolutely loved your morning collecting shells, and wicked cool on your amazing horse conk!
I was admiring everyone else's horse conchs - I'm glad I managed to find one of my own!
My mother would spend hours on the beach looking for seashells. We had a summer home on the Oregon coast. When mom passed my daughter took some of the shells and glued them to a mirror frame, it's beautiful, it hangs over her kitchen sink.
I made one of those mirrors too. I love the way glass and mirrors look with seashells.
I would love to see your large horse conch all cleaned up! Amazing find

Wow what a find that horse conch was massive and another awesome beach walk thank you
I really liked how your camera followed a wave along as it was cresting. This was early on in the video, and you talked about going at a relaxed pace.
I feel about scallops the way you feel about Florida fighting conchs!❤

Soft coral - Roger that! Thank you April!
I appreciate the attempt. I had ZERO clue!

Yes on the kitten paws! Those are my favorites of the small/tiny shells and I've been longing for a Hemingway cat! Those extra tosies to smooch on!
I think we all do that "please be empty" or "please be whole" chant when we find those biggies! Thank you so much for watching!
Love the big shell. You really got a lot of beautiful shells. I have learned so much from you. Have a good week.
The joy in your voice makes me so happy! Life goes on and things will be okay! Love you here in Tennessee!❤~TN Nana

Yay! Nice haul of shells! I was so happy when I saw that you had put out a video this week.
Thank you so much for watching my videos and coming to the beach with me!
Wow, what a fun trip with you again! And I could imagine you jumping for joy over the horse conch! Your shelling trips post Ian really bolster my spirits and hope that instead of my planned trip in January that maybe January 2024 it will happen.
What a great day! The shells seem so colorful, and so many varieties. Thank you so much!
Those Florida fighting conches are so unique! Congratulations on the horse conch!
Glad you got your Giant Horse Conk !Good Job ! Hope things are getting better there after the terrible storm. I will be praying 🙏💜
My first time seeing a spiny slipper snail. Lace mericks are so cool. The hinged shells are beautiful. I like the hinged shells.

WOW! I am delighted you found the horse conch! With such a small piece showing!
Best regards, c
I was lucky that I had a little bit of practice finding those horse conchs so I knew what I was looking at1 Thanks for sharing my joy with me!
I found a lot of these shells in Naples. It was my first time in Florida and I was so delighted. You don’t see shells like these where I live in California.
Not all beaches were created equal - that is for sure! The beaches here in SWFL are so fun to go beachcombing on!
What a wonderful shelling day, how exciting to find the ginormous horse conch!
A huge congratulations to you on that Horse Conch! You had a great day besides that big one! I know this trip helped your psyche a bunch!
So happy to see your video , I was hoping you would post one!!! Great finds!!
I remember that story! Ironically I found a shell yesterday when I almost turned around and went the other way. Some shells are meant to be found!
We love the Hemingway Shuttle!! That’s where I met you, I knew from your voice! 😊
Hello beach friend! This was the first trip I've taken since that April trip. I will definitely have to go to Keewaydin more often!
It sounds absolutely heavenly!
@@SWFBeachLife It was a very happy time in our life. Memories are the gold of growing old.
