Everytime you say "Lets Go to the Beach" I say "I am ready" Hello from Snowy cold Michigan. Thanks for taking us along!😂
Me too lol
Me three!🤗
Same here from landlocked Ohio! Hello Sharmon!
I’m from Michigan! Born & raised in Dearborn… now in North Carolina!
@ dreams can come true YES, me too! From West Michigan, Grand Haven. We can go rock hunting, right! Though the warm weather is good for the soul.
I just love shelling with you! I think that you definitely hit the shell jackpot on this trip! Thank you so much for taking us along beach friend🐬🐚
I love when you go to Keewaydin--I rewatch those older trips, too! Yes, couldn't believe what good shape those cones were in--most even had perfect apertures, and the colors! Stunning colors on the apple murex shells, too! Great horse conchs, colorful moonsnails, that very cool worm snail and you even picked up a mossy ark--it was like a dream you would have of a perfect shelling day! Thanks for filming so we all could go with you!
It was like a dream - so much fun. Thank you for coming along with me!
I love I when you get so excited about what you find! The alphabet cones were awesome! Thank you for another peaceful trip to the beach. ❤️🐚
I cried noooo! when you left that gorgeous broken moon snail with the brown and white swirls. I would have loved to cut that into a pendant and wrapped it in some gorgeous hammered wire. I always find beauty in the broken shells, though. All the Alphabets were super cool. The Florida Cones are actually my favorite, though. They have such beautiful swirly colors. I keep a Florida Cone in the console of my car with a bunch of rocks that I have collected from special times and places. I call them my memories. The Florida Cone I found on my 50th birthday on Kice, and besides the fact that it makes me remember how happy I was that day, it really is just beautiful. You got so many gorgeous shells this video. 🥰
Awe I love this. ❤️
Me too. I think I would have had to keep the broken moon with the chocolate and white swirls. It was so unusual. I wouldn't normally keep something that broken but I was amazed. It truly reminded me of a chocolate/vanilla swirl ice cream cone.
Best part of Sunday evenings!
It's pure magic watching you discover all of those precious shells!
Hi Sharmon,
What a beautiful day to go shelling!
You did great in the Alphabet Cone and Fighting Conch department!
What a gorgeous shells!😍 And being Dutch: of course I love the Banded tulips and Orange Shells. 🧡
But all the shells are stunning and I would be over the moon if I found just one of them.
I'm very curious about what you're going to do with all those FFC's.
I know for sure that project will be marvellous.
Thank you for taking me and all the other viewers with you on your beach trips. I love every minute of it!
Hope you're doing well. Wishing you a lovely week with lots of joy, happiness, good health and of course gorgeous shells!
Big hug and lots of love, xoxo ❤️, Ilona
Ilona, it was so fun to be out there. Shoot, it's always fun, but when you can pick up awesome shell after awesome shell it's pretty hard to wipe the smile from my face. My projects tend to take me about three times as long as I would like them to, but I am working on a little something that I hope to unveil by the end of next month. I have a little more experimenting to do first 😃
I hope you are feeling well and your health isn't giving you any trouble. Sending sunshine and warmth 🧡🧡🧡
I vacationed on Great Exuma Island, Bahamas for 2 weeks and shelled almost every day! I found so many keyhole limpets, teeny tiny to very large.I have quite the collection of them and variety of colors too☺
That sounds amazing!!
That trip was unbelievable! I would have been so excited with all those alphabet cones. Thanks for bringing us your shelling adventures. Shells were so beautiful!
I never get tired of watching you pick up all of those beautiful shells!!!!!!
Happy Sunday!!!
Hey so sorry I haven’t came hear in a while but I thank you for taking us along🎉
I loved this shell hunt. You found soo many amazing shells. Thank you so much for sharing!!!😊😊😊
Whenever we’re on Keywaydin we always find buckets of cones!! I love it there 🌴🌴
WOW! What a day! That large apple murex was spectacular. And I totally get why you pick up lots of conchs ... the variety in colors and patterns is really something to behold!
Holy Alphabet Cone!!! I love horse conchs!! I love them all!!! What a fun day!!! XOXO thank you for making my Sunday happy! See you next week!
I can't believe all those shells!! So many cones!! great day at the beach!
This like being in a candy store for you..shells everywhere! Great finds once again. Ty for sharing!🤠
Oh my goodness - I literally said that about a recent shell trip. It's incredible how happy these little seashells make me!
@@SWFBeachLife Aww...well..we gotta thank The Lord for creating these beautiful creatures of beauty, He cares even for the smallest, like the sparrow. He knew you would enjoy these beauties, it's His blessings to you, Enjoy 😊
Got us excited - going to Keewaydin in a few days!!! My first trip to Florida to do shelling - and am with my sister. We are making great memories. Have been to Dickman's and a couple of beaches up by Venice - great for tinies! Still on schedule are Sanibel, Keewaydin and Kice. Then it's back to the great frozen North in about 10 days. You can take away the heat - but you can't take away my memories or my shells!!!! {{shelling hugs}}
Good luck from Michigan!
That's the spirit! May the shells be ever in your favor!!
My in laws live on the other side of Florida than where you are! I would love to find the shells that you find when we visit next!
Wow! Awesome Cones!
I enjoyed all the shells you picked up today. So beautiful. I enjoy the beach time. Hearing the water and waves. Thank you for sharing your videos. It really does help relax me and just enjoy it all. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you so much Toni - I hope you have a wonderful day too!
Gorgeous haul! So happy for you!
Gorgeous alphabet cones! Amazing how many you found. Some really awesome shell finds there. What a great day that was. Looking forward to next video.
Thanks for taking us along again! I was really hoping to get to Florida this year, but unfortunately not. My husband will travel by himself to see the grandsons. I'm having issues with my lower back, again, and I will be getting injections again. I just can't sit, stand, or walk for very long. These so-called "golden years" are literally a pain in the butt! I'll just keep living vicariously through you. Hugs!
Late to the beach party. I wait all week for your video but tonight we had freaky February tornadoes. All clear here and I enjoyed the fabulous video.
Oh crud - sorry about the storms. Stay safe!!
Absolutely love watching your trips to the beach, one day I will make it to SWF and do a shell tour. We have had so much sand wash up on our beautiful North Sapphire Beach in New South Wales, Australia that shells are few and far between. We usually have tritons, cowries , abalone , turbans , trocus, baler shells , bonnets, limpets, and coral as we are at the southern end of the barrier reef chain, with the Solitary Islands etc but alas we will have to be patient until they return. Have a lovely weekend.🐠🪸🐬🦀🌴🐚🦑🐢
I was drooling reading, tritons, cowries, abalone...its the rarity that makes them so special!
What a great weekend shelling trip! Love all those special cones! but we have to wait a whole week for the next surprise?? I won't have any fingernails left!! LOL 😁
I hate spoilers!!! 😃❤️
That was pretty exciting! Nice shells!
Thank you for the beach trip!
Very nice! I see Lori had a name change! Congrats Lori! I keep bumping into her! Thank you Sharmon! What a nice haul!!!
What an amazing day shelling! Cones galore!
I was on Dickman and Kice islands last week with SWF Natical shelling and it was super. Found so many shells, even a baby’s ear!
A baby's ear? That's awesome! I'm so glad the shells cooperated!
Cones have to be my favorite. We don’t have them in SC. ☹️ we do have knob whelks. I so have to come visit!
Wow! Nice haul!
i was on keewaydin twice in mid-january a week apart. first time shells were meh! and i picked up a lot of garbage, but second time was cone-a-palooza...such a special day. still treasure that day over the 5 i spent in 10k islands! i so look forward to sunday afternoons with you. thank you so much for taking us along. ❤
There's no guarantee with the shells, but when they decide to show up, isn't it so much fun? I'm glad you got to have that amazing feeling of finding all those treasures too!
WOW WOW WOW! What an amazing day at the beach!
The guy was in that little shell!
Fantastic shelling day! All those cones! Wow! Thanks for sharing a great day at the beach!
Hello from thawing out Billings,Montana
Hello back! 🏝️
I looked forward to your video all day, and what a reward!! 😊 such spectacular finds today!!! Now I can go to sleep, dreaming of shells 🐚 ❤
Shell yeah!!! So many cones that I started craving ice cream! Thanks for another great video. :)
Makes my heart happy and sad at the same time. Happy you get to go and take us with you, but heavy sad that I can’t be there too. What I wouldn’t give to do the Sanibel slump again, feel the warm water lap at my feet, wind in my hair, salty mist in my glasses and beautiful sunrises. If only wishing could make it so.. 😢
I hear you. I wish I could make that happen for you too!
Wow!!! Beautiful treasures today!!! The waves were breaking a little stronger today with the tide coming in; fabulous sounds to go with the fabulous sites. Thank you for a lovely day!
I love beach time!
What a great trip with so many beautiful shells. Such colorful scallops and I love those horse conchs!
What an awesome shelling day!
Great day at the beach!
I have to get down there to find some shells like you found. My husband and I will be in Mexico Beach for a month in June. I can't wait!
You had a great alphabet cone day
What a “shellapalooza” day with finding all those alphabet cones, oh my!! What a day you had, and you deserve that, especially after all your hard work with the auction. So happy for you 🫶🏻👏🏻👌🏻 I was curious, did the other shellers on your trip, find so many fantastic shells 🐚 as you did? Looking forward to next weeks video with the special surprise!
The other shellers found fantastic shells too. Someone also found a "pony" horse conch. It was beautiful. It was such a fun day!
Amazing! Thank you!❤
Whohoo, let's go to the beach! Coney Island !
LOL - Coney Island! Wish I had thought of that!
Another great day! I would love to live there and be able to go shelling so often!
I'm so lucky!
As always a pleasure
Such an awesome day! I was there on February 15th and it was just so amazing!
Thanks so much for tagging along with me!
I miss shelling. I grew up in Massachusetts and lived in Florida briefly. A fisherman took us out to an island off of Pompano Beach and that place was crawling with wall to wall crabs. No thank you! I don't think I picked up one shell on that trip. I was too busy dodging crabs. lol!
I would have loved that experience! I might have been a wee bit creeped out over all the crabs but it must have been cool to see!
Such an amazing shelling day!
Seriously...fantastic finds and all on one beach ! You're killing me ! The shells were beautiful today . Luv'n this . 💖
I knoooooow! So fun!
AMAZING OUT OF THIS 🌎🗺 BESTEST 🏆🏆🏆📹📷🔎🏝🏝🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚🐚BESTEST VIDEO....
Yes
What a day!! All those alphabet cones and horse conchs. So glad you're picking up calico scallops again - they are so pretty. And fighting conchs...of all the shells those look the most like they would fit right into a candy jar. Can't wait to see what you do with them. It's so good to see people on the beaches and to here t h e joy in your voice again. Have a great week.
Thank you for including us on your trips to the beach! I have learned so much by watching you!
Thanks!
Thank you so much Lori!! I really appreciate it! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Sharmon, what a completely delightful video. I keep being convinced that when I get to come to SW Florida to go shelling, I must visit Keeywaydin Island. Looks like it consistently has some of the most beautiful shells. I hope 2023 is the year my hubby and I get to come. Would you say that the best shelling month is November or do you have another suggestion? I won't plan on a summer visit. This Washingtonian would die from the heat. Visited my son in Georgia once in July - thought I was going to melt. I love all those beautiful fighting conchs. They are all so different and wonderfully twisty. Like you I like the knobs and many different tones and colors. The cones were spectacular too as are the calico scallops. Such a wonder! I will look forward to your next adventure!
In my 3 year experience down here, typically you'll find at least something decent in the winter from say November thru March/April. Then it gets a little "slow" and the shells tend to hide. The best month really depends on how the winds are acting. The BEST time to shell is after a winter cold front comes through, but you can't plan for those. So I would say anytime between Nov-March is decent for shelling. And it's usually a little cooler too so for you it would be a bonus!
A great haul this time.
Wow what a Awesome day!! So fun 😊❤
Someday can you show us what you do with your shells? As in crafts, displaying them, etc.
I do want to make a new video about my collection. There were some things I left out last time. Until then though, I can show you what it looked like last year: ua-cam.com/video/Afy0jl0smpE/v-deo.html Then, I put some shells to the side to sell and others to do projects with. I've managed to complete 2 projects thus far. A shell mirror: ua-cam.com/video/Mf5SVm8m5n8/v-deo.html And a shell photo frame: ua-cam.com/video/h9UIvqlOzgM/v-deo.html I have lots of ideas I just need to find more time!
well done on the finds enjoyed the video
Thank you so much!!! There's something about hunting down those treasures 🐚
Goodness gracious!! Unbelievable!!
Awesome finds!
WOW, WOW, WOW... I loved this video!!!!
My husband and I watch your UA-cam channel every Sunday evening and learn so much. How do I send a picture of a shell to see if you can tell us what it is?
You can email me at swfbeachlife@gmail.com. If I know what it is I'll be happy to ID it for you!
That southern point is the snorkel spot for tons of Giant horse conch and Huge Whelks
I have heard that and have every intention of giving that a whirl this summer (whey the shuttle is running).
Finding any shell you find is great.
I guess I need to come to the Gulf side of Florida.
Oh yes. Our side of the state is MUCH easier to find those seashells!
Stellar beach day… yay!
Holy moly!! I’m jealous 🤣😂 if I found that many alphabet cones I’d fall over! I’ll be happy if I even find one when hubs and I go to Marco in May! Fingers crossed!🏝️
I hope you have great shell luck when you come!
I totally enjoy your shell hunting! We used to go to captivate island all the time but now live in cold dreary Pennsylvania 😔
What do you do with all these shells?
Mostly I keep them in glass jars, vases and lanterns. I showed my collection in a past video: ua-cam.com/video/Afy0jl0smpE/v-deo.html Then, I put some shells to the side to sell and others to do projects with.
Great video! Congratulations on all the cones! What your did you use this time?
Wonderful!
I want to go there. I just love seashells. Some day I will go there
Lovely shells! Is that a clock ticking in the background?
No clock, but I have one of those waving Chinese cats that I have put back on the shelf so it doesn't get as much light 😩 Sorry!
Dang … what a haul !!
Jackpot day! Sometime can you show what type of bags/tools you carry when shelling? I never know what to take shelling and end up sticking shells in my pockets and hat.
Roger that! In the meantime let me show you from an older video: ua-cam.com/video/gI8tavKdqSg/v-deo.html
Which tour company takes you to Keewaydin island? We were not sure how to get to that island specifically with Carlos or another tour company. Thank you and love watching your adventures shelling. 👍🏻
This was SWFLShellguide.com (Ali) and Nautical Life (Carlos), but there is no guarantee they will go to Keewaydin. If you really want to go to Keewaydin, I would say go over with the Hemingway Shuttle www.hemingwaywatershuttle.com.
Estoy tan feliz de haber encontrado su hermoso e instructivo canal. Lo disfruto muchísimo, gracias! 🌻
¡Usted es muy bienvenido! ¡Muchas gracias por venir a la playa conmigo a buscar conchas marinas!
Do you ever sell shells? We live in Tennessee and for health reasons can't go this year. Thank you.
I do sell my shells! I was wiped out last week but I hope to add a whole lot more in the next few weeks: www.etsy.com/shop/SWFBeachLifeStore
Wow!!!! Just Wow!!!!!
Gorgeous treasures ❤
Thank you! 🤗
Thank you for another awesome walk How many letters are in the alphabet? Did you get one for each letter ?
I didn't get one for each letter but I sure found a lot!
Hi there! Where did you start if you’re headed to the point?
On this trip we were very close to the south end, but it was a little bit of a walk. Where we were dropped off was a PERFECT spot but I had to make sure there was nothing huge waiting for me just in case 😉
Fantastic
Ah I'd looooove a cone! Dream shell
🧡Tennessee Fields
Those horse conchs ❤. We were on Marco in January and scheduled a shelling tour, my husband had a heart attack (he’s doing well now) so we didn’t get to go. That’s his favorite shell, he would have been so excited to find so many! Love your videos😊
Oh my gosh that terrible! I'm so glad he's okay. Sounds like you need to plan a redo trip to get some of those horse conchs!
Why does the top of the shell at 20:38 look different to me? More spikes maybe?
I agree. The spiky ridges are further apart i think. Looks more like a church spire?
That second row does indeed look more pronounced - and yet another reason to love those for having endless possibilities in their shape and color!
We have bad red tide by us, just wondering if you are having any issues when you do the videos?
Not yet! I was on Sanibel earlier today and while there were big dead fish, I only coughed maybe 5 times. It honestly wasn't bad at all. I know it won't last so I'm trying to get out there while I can!
❤
Sharmon! I remember seeing the odd looking gaudi nautica that was not colorful and then I saw this video from Treasure Seekers Shell Tours and Sarah with an H was talking about the different types of moon snails. Regardless, I think you will enjoy that video, but you might have actually found something really interesting and more rare to find than a gaudi! ua-cam.com/video/151xTDxsOnU/v-deo.html
Thank you, Denise, for sharing that cool video. I do love moon snail shells and it was fun learning more about the critters that live in them. When I get to visit Florida, I have a great need to find some Gaudy Nauticas.
@@miriammacdermot5601 oh, good! I’m so glad that you enjoyed the video. I love to learn. I found a lot of the Gaudis on Kice Island in the 10,000 islands. I took a tour with SWFL Shell Guide and she was awesome. I hope that you find lots , too! They really are neat little shells
Thank you for sharing! I like to absorb as much shell info as I can! I have indeed found some of those Florida moonsnails as well as those funky colored gaudys The only place I find them is the 10K islands!
😍❣🐚🐌
I hated for today’s session to be over. I was enjoying the shells so very much today and the water was clear and the cones were beautiful. I just enjoyed it so much. It only seemed like five minutes at the most.
