Congratulations!!! EVERYTHING that u went thru, from the lonely training, finding more about urself, to the race day prep is what all runners go thru. We stress and seems like not enough hours to get ready leading up to race day.
Running saved my life, and the running community is the most supportive people u will meet.
I was at a crossroads in recovering and the one thing a counselor told me was, “U need to give a Sh** About urself!” Running was that for me and little did I know how much it wud help me grow, humbled me, taught me patience and find the inner strength.
I see some of this happened with you.
It’s ok to be emotional about this. Please Pat urself on the back! Because u did it on ur own power, will, and body. No one did it for u!
