Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.
that grid motion feature is awesome, i think this zoshi just made the top of the list

Great video! This was not only a great video showing various installations of the cameras, but it also showed in-depth looks at the DVR system, menus in the DVR system, functions of the DVR system, as well as various functions of the cameras as well as day and night views as well as how to use the app. I appreciate your review and your review has definitely sold me on buying the surveillance system. Mines is in the mail currently right now and I was borderline not sure because of the things I’ve heard about the app but it seems like everything else is great on it especially the picture which is the most important thing. I want to thank you for your detailed review!
I'm glad I could help you with this! I love the system and the quality of the video is great. The only downside is the app not working as good as some other brands. But as long as I catch the video I don't care.
DIY Home Tech Guy I definitely can agree... the app is horrible! But it is what it is, does the bare minimum.
Great video, very informative! I have read many reviews where the app is hit or miss, which is no deal breaker, but would be nice if it was reliable. I have ordered the 8ch set up and although not looking forward to the running of cables, I am pleased to see the actual quality in your video!

Very good review. I like the detail that you go into because the book doesn't give much information on how to do all of the settings. I have set a privacy area in my grandkid's bedroom, but I made the area too large and now don't know how to undo this action. Can't find anything online about it either.
I like how you run the cables, I need to figure how to run mine in a home that is almost 100 years old and built weird.
Things and apps have changed now, and Zosi View doesn't work with the system and it is a different program on the computer now also. I have the 8 camera setup.
Great Review! Some thoughts from my recent installation - Running the wiring through an attic is the biggest pita, start early, remember where your joists are and make sure you are running the correct end to the DVR. Also - Do not loosen the set screw on the camera too far, they will come out and be difficult to re-install. So far my system is working great, the shower cam does fog up fairly easily. Wife is still on the fence about that one.

Does it allow you to leave the app open on your phone and just watch live view? Iv heard it will turn off after a short time.
Can you access the hard drive form a computer and does it only record to the hard drive or can it be set up to upload the recorded videos to a cloud drive?
Good review. But have you ever needed to export video to a usb drive? A friends seems to have a fault where it will only record about 2 seconds and the file size is only about 9mb. The video files are about 19min long on average. Also the unit seems to reboot after so called saving. Thanks.
Do you have to connect to your router/modem via ethernet, or can you do a wireless adapter?
Setting up the phone app, it's asking for the 20 digit UID code. Does anyone know where I would find this ???? Not sure if I still have the original packaging and could only find the starter guide which was no use
Also, what is the time delay between detecting motion and recording it?
Is it possible to use other same type of wiring cameras (720p and 1080p) from other brands in this DVR? And about IP cameras? Also there is any web GUI to use in browser, with the same settings as if was being used directly? Thanks in advance!

Hey we got the same brand while i got 4/8 ch. Evrythin was also setup/installed with momentarily 2 cameras for a test. I rcvd it fr Amazon but i dont see a 4 splitter for power dc in d box. The video on my pc monitor was good but after awhile it contstanly restarting with a beep with no signal or cam image. Do u have any idea why system is restarting? Its annoying if i rcvd a defective dvr.

I just bought ZOSI 1080P 4CH NVR 4 960P HD. I connected I setup everything Normal. I downloaded IP Pro app for ZOSI the app doesn't have alert notifications Motion Detection alarm Snapshot/Recording. I don't know if I'm wrong.
"No data!" Mine keeps saying. Great video! Idk what mine is doing tho.
What is the ptz length option in the zosi view app?
Hi great video. _ can you help? I have one of these systems, but want it to record ONLY when video motion is triggered. I have tried everything, but just keeps recording 24 /7, any ideas?

I have model #zro8an/10. It beeps, shuts down, reboots intermittently.
I removed the hard drive, still does it.
I've looked in settings, as far as I can tell, nothing is checked to alarm.
Any recommendations on what too check?

I just got my wires ran and im getting ready to plug them into the DVR and attempt to get them connected and running. Do you have a video on how to do that? Also do you have any advice on how to set up the app to view mobile?
I just purchased this unit. It would not allow me to enter a log-in and password so I skipped. Now when I right click it defaults back to the admin id and asks for the password. Have no idea how to get into it to setup and not getting very far with the e-mail support. Any ideas?

Lots of false detections for me. With these cameras you're paying for the hardware not the software

How do you create a local sign in on the system itself? not interested in setting up an app on a cell phone. just signing in and out on the system at home.. what dose a yellow box in the left lower corner mean ? input from anyone would help.
I can not get any video on my camera. I have the same set up but my box is all black. I have all wires in and power to everything. It only shows black screens on my monitor. I also am prompted to input a password and what I was told to put in doesn't work. I can't figure it out for the life of me!! Any suggestions?

Hi, can you tell me how to invert the camera image? Mounted the cameras and the image is upside down.
You can rotate the camera it's on a swivel. Take a look at the little Allen screw at the base

Right click mouse, select Stop Scan. Then select Multi, select 1-4.

Good explanation.... I have a couple of questions. 1. Are the IR-leds visible at night? 2. Did the system come with 60' of wire for each camera and if you need more than 60' is there an extension available?
The IR lights have a slight red glow coming from them. So if you know where the cameras are you can see the glow. Each camera comes with 60' of wire and you can buy additional on Amazon.
Extensions are available. In his video of the night shots, you can see the glare from the IR on other cameras so positioning is crucial. Each system does advertise 60ft of cable for each camera. Amazon have whole or partial set ups including cables.
Do you have to connect it via the cat 5 cord to the router or can I just use wifi?
There is no Wi-Fi with this unit you can buy a wireless repeater and plug it into it. If you don't have one of those then you just have to plug it in with a ethernet cable
Do you have to plug in an Ethernet cable that connects to your router in order for this whole system to work? I'm trying to set this up for someone that doesn't have internet and so far i'm not having any luck. And if so, do you HAVE to have internet to use this product?
You don't have to have internet for it to work. But then you can't use the app to remote monitor it.
The network cable... can it run from a WiFi box to the security system box?
It sure can! I'm using an old router to do a wifi bridge from my home wireless router into the garage

How has this system held up, any issues? We were looking to get 2 wireless cameras but we don't have internet at our property and the price and monthly cost for Arlo go cameras on Verizon network was crazy so we have been looking at this system for our home, after this long and for the price would you still recommend this system for basic home monitoring?
The system has held up great. I use it just for monitoring my house when I'm inside. I haven't hooked up to a computer monitor and I can see all corners of my house at night time even when it's pitch-black with the night vision. You do not need any network to use this system and can rewind all the footage if you have a monitor hooked up with a mouse. I would say the only downside on the system is the app interface for phone

This system does work by itself without internet. If yiy want access to the dvr from your cellphone then you will need internet access to the unit. This will work perfect to record without internet access.
Zosi app says connection timeout, I am not able to see the cameras.

I think you have to have a separate mic and speaker for sound.

For a 4 channel dvr with 4 cameras and a 1tb hard drive your looking into about 19 days of recording on 24/7

You can hook it up directly to a computer monitor with a vga cable or into a TV with a hdmi cable.
