Excellent. The problem with this Presto is to play fast AND beautiful, tasteful. This is the by far best performance of that work I've heard until today. Everything stays relaxed, notes are clear. A true pleasure to listen to.
Congratulations Stephanie! That’s the real “ feeling “ to play this peace: strength at each note and dynamics at every phrase! An impressive achievement!
From studying the music from Maestro Johann Sebastian I understood the complex point of his writing and the simplicity of how it should sound... Maestra Stephanie you make me believe when I listen to you, in a sacred matter, you make me think in religion, in Maestro Back´s religion as well and in the angelical message you carry within it. Blessings. Andrés
A seemingly impossible task performed flawlessly, and with panache. Stephanie, you have been added to this musical semi literate's cultural treasure list.
I will never understand how people can give thumbs down to such vdos.... probably 15 lunatics who escaped from their asylum and believe they are Bach... thanks for this beautiful story you told me with your guitar... I had a wonderful trip and this is what music is about... taking us away... higher.... and you do it like no one.
Good comment! There is definitely a "Hitler-flunking-out-of-art-school" vibe to these particular "thumbs down"! (As if this music could even be touched by an inverted online thumb... What a futile gesture, don't you think?) I've actually stumbled upon a few comments from people who 'thumbs down' videos like this, and judging from their vocabularies, they appear to be either music-students (that probably flunked out of music school) that nit-pick the technique and style and say pompous things like, "It's not authentically Baroque" and "Bach should never be played on guitar", OR they are just your average everyday UA-cam comment-section bigots, hating people for the same dumb old reasons. "She's fat, she's black, she's a lesbian," etc.
Tengo 70 años, en mi vida he oído a muchos guitarristas, créanme.
When I listen to you, I firmly believe that your mind is equally agile, prompt and accurate ... and that, at the same time, you have a full and completely sensitive soul: your way of touching has impacted me a lot.
Beautiful playing Ms. Jones! This Presto is so often a mad dash to the finish line, but so nuanced in your rendition. Thanks for sharing this lovely performance:)
You are so in the zone here. You give me chills. That 18th century replica guitar sounds amazing and your talent wrings the most out. As always, I am in awe of your artistry.
Thank you for sharing this excellent performance! Apart from the brilliant technical/musical quality I am also glad to see that young people like you are still into those classical sounds and enjoy the "unplugged" and "quiet" beauty of the great masters of the past.
С муз.аспекте все точно- артикуляция, плотный звук, техническая легкость и стилистически, я думаю, все верно(м.б.завышен темп), но дело вкуса). Хочу отметить свободную посадку и постановку рук... Желаю Стефании успехов! 👋👋👋
...and if he SAW this, it would blow the wig off of his head! Can you imagine traveling back in time, handing a cell phone to JS Bach (before he wrote it, why not?) and having him watch this? He'd either die from the shock of it, or you'd be burning at the stake in no time.
SO, So, so well executed that it's shocking-shockingly transcendent. Anyone who has studied this Sonata-particularly the presto-will agree. And BTY, what a brilliant guitar! Never heard or seen anything like it.
Stephanie Jones, like few others, has brought the concert guitar performance up to the level of that of the great vocalists, violinists and pianists.Truly astounding in every way, not the least of which are her dynamics.
To me, its triple-amazing. 1: the composition, of course (credits to we all know who) with its soothing waves, 2: the flawless performance, 3: by heart. If I could play the guitar, I may be able to learn to play this piece 100 years or so but not during eternity could I learn the piece.
I agree, her capacity for memorization is great, but don't sell yourself short; if you knew how to play guitar, your memory would be better than you think, because virtually all guitar players perform from memory. Learning to memorize music is an essential part of learning to play the guitar... I'm sure you have noticed that you never see guitarists reading music on stage; only when they are learning a piece. This is because of the conventions (and problems) of representing music written for the guitar using standard Western notation; there are many additional symbols and marks representing fingering, hand position, etc that make sightreading impractical, if not extremely difficult. I hope someday you study guitar; I promise you, your memory will improve!

There are up and coming artists, then there is Steph. Plays like she's been at it for fifty years.
In a way that's justification but her talent shows without doubt.
That's a special guitar for a special person!
@@glennlopez6772 She plays quite a few different guitars, all of them brilliantly. :)
more like 150
Utterly mesmerising. The articulation of every note is genuinely incredible.
Couldn’t have said it better. Faultless. Seamless.
World class, Stephanie.
Indeed.
Strength, elegance, articulation and musicality. Absolutely wonderful.
Beautifully played and such wonderful dynamics 🙌🏻
Congratulations Stephanie! That’s the real “ feeling “ to play this peace: strength at each note and dynamics at every phrase! An impressive achievement!
Brilliant. I love the timbre of your guitar. It has a real depth to it.
I'm in awe of this woman. What an artist!
Absolutely impressive! I'm sure you make many violinists jealous with your execution.
Your articulation and control over each note is simply fantastic. And that guitar, so beautiful!
From studying the music from Maestro Johann Sebastian I understood the complex point of his writing and the simplicity of how it should sound... Elite playing and elite interpretation. Just discovered this channel.. I'm amazed.
Stephanie, thanks a ton for sharing.
That guitar looked and sounded beautiful, and was played just as beautifully.
It was *THE* strad (copy maybe)
A seemingly impossible task performed flawlessly, and with panache. Stephanie, you have been added to this musical semi literate's cultural treasure list.

It's about the music, the expression, nothing else - people are much too selfish.
Now they are 56
they were waiting for electronic percussions
most downvotes are just bots, dont stress on it
This is pure perfection on stage! Congratulation beautiful artist!
Bach , Jobim , Piazzolla...we all cant live without you pretty Stephanie !❤️

Beautiful interpretation, and is so good to have you back!
A natural classical guitarist. Gifted. She gets how to play Bach. Amazing
beyond the great performance that guitar is so beatiful what a good taste
Absolutely awesome, brilliant memory to remember all those riff something I can never do
С муз.аспекте все точно- артикуляция, плотный звук, техническая легкость и стилистически, я думаю, все верно(м.б.завышен темп), но дело вкуса).

No words. Just admiration.
Hypnotic! Beautiful.
Your skill is superb! Love the tone of that guitar!!!
Sensacional! Espetacular! Que domínio!
Just when you think she can't get any better . . . .
I really think if Herr Bach heard this, he would be brought to tears.
...and if he SAW this, it would blow the wig off of his head!
Can you imagine traveling back in time, handing a cell phone to JS Bach (before he wrote it, why not?) and having him watch this? He'd either die from the shock of it, or you'd be burning at the stake in no time.
That was extraordinary, just stunning.
holy.... Jeez ! This performance is freaking awesome ! very good playing, and very accurate in terms of precision, thank for this video !
Beautiful presentation!
At 2:46 Bach stands up from his seat and starts applauding
And of course , he bows at he ending !

Your playing is wonderful, and I love the sound of that guitar
great performance and interpretation of JS Bach music.
Amazing. You really play Bach as he should be played, almost no unnecessery added notes, and phrasing is very awesome. Congratulations.
Absolutly beautiful
Wonderful performance. Thank you.
You get better and better, Stephanie. Awesome playing and interpretation. I have heard no one better than you 😄❤️☯️
