Most people would think this man couldn’t teach them anything. As a 24 year old black dude from Houston I’ve gained so much perspective and insight watching this man’s videos. You can gain so much knowledge from anyone if you’re willing to listen.

You hit the nail on the head: "If you're willing to listen."
People who don't or who won't listen, they will never grow as people, and you're wasting your time trying to talk to them.
Like for example, I was going with this woman a while back, and my truck broke down, it was a major repair and cost me a lot of money that I couldn't afford to spend after buying the parts, so I decided to do it myself, and I explained my situation to her, and yet all she did was criticize me, like when I would update her on how the repair was going, and she just continued to mock me when I told her the certain issues I was running into trying to do it, saying, "you don't know if that's the problem you're not a mechanic," and stuff like that.
Well, through diligent research, patience, and with some help from my dad, I was able to get it fixed, in fact when I took it in to have it realigned, they told me they couldn't find a single problem with job my dad and I did.
During the course of that time, like Dwayne said: "Pick your battles," I finally realized that with her attitude, her scorn, not just directed at me but also my dad when I talked to her, the latter which is a huge, "HELL NO," in my book, I realized there was no point in dealing with her anymore.
The point is, you have to know which battles are worth fighting, and when it's best to just walk away.

My dear sweet wife of over 34 years (God rest her soul) always said to me when I would get upset with one of our kids, she would say honey you need to pick your battles. It’s gonna be okay. We can deal with this when you’re not so upset. Of course, she was always right. Unfortunately, she was killed while out on an afternoon walk by a hit and run driver who left her in the ditch to die. I miss her terribly and I miss her wisdom. BTW… she loved her horses and we rode trails together often. Thank you Dwayne for your wisdom and soft spoken words of encouragement.

I began changing recently. Wasn’t particularly even focused on trying. I just was sitting quietly, reflecting on some choices, and habits I don’t like, and just as the snake sheds it’s skin, I put down pot, some other chemicals, and told every “friend” I had, that wasn’t living a clean, healthy life, to lose my number. I’m used to being alone, anyways. It’s no shock to my system, but I’ve been a walking chemical dumpster, for the last two decades. What’s strange, I haven’t craved for anything, but more positive change, and chances to improve my character. I’m not going to dive head first, into the shallow end like I normally allow myself to do, instead, I’m going to make improvement, my lifestyle. I’m going to start my own channel, and be as raw, as I can, and find a healthier support system, than the drugs have left me with. Hope to see y’all, soon.

Good on you, it makes me think, I hear all the time people saying once an addict always an addict, and that, put simply isn't such a black and white statement, its a statement made by people that dont consider more perspectives it is down to the individual and you can't pool a whole group of people by such a saying, there are better things to life.
You know the right decisions to make and it looks like you have, good on you, keep it up.

I really needed this today. My alcoholic brother is destroying my life with his behavior. Im having to choose between living in my car or being enraged by his despicable actions every night. It's unreal how awful it is living with an addict. You can't ever win the battle with a drunk. It feels like dealing with an elderly person that has dimentia. All you do is repeat yourself and all they do is forget and act confused.. it's sad. He's 42 and drinks 14 beers every night. Everyday drinker for 18 years. Ironically i suffer for his alcoholism more than he does. The irony.

Sometimes you have to let the people closest to you go. It sounds like it would be worth taking steps to move out and get away from the situation. Even “small battles” at a time, gradually getting things in order for you to move, maybe a storage unit to slowly get your stuff out without him freaking out, find work that supports living on your own or with other roommates, then make the move. It may be a good idea to not tell him where, and make it far enough away that you won’t cross paths. If you’ve done everything you can to help him, it’s not right to let his decisions ruin your life too

I had one horse. He was like my dog. After I broke him in, I didn't even know anything about breaking in horses at all..., I was very slow and easy....took me a week to put a blanket on him..I could be out in the woods , I could jump off , take a pp, never tied him to a tree. He would follow me around like a dog. My buddy said tie your horse up he's gonna leave you out here one day I said nope he won't. Then his horse broke his rope and run off, true story!!!
He was more like a buddy than a horse. Great vids.

I am very impressed with his prospective on teaching. I have a newly gelded 7 year old who's nature has always been on the gentle side that I have to ready for 2 young boys to take over and in turn teach them that they need to practise patience and self discipline. I want to use a hackamore because of the severe cold weather in the winter and I know that won't stop the more interested of the two from hopping on for an after school ride. I hope I can do this right so both the boys will bond and develope their relationship with Meho and create a bond that will last long into their young adulthood. Even a retired horse craves their time with their people and just like older people there can still be rides, just a little slower and more care at the end of the ride not to put them away without a good grooming, maybe a little linament and a lot of conversation. Thank you for all the lessons you have given us !!!

Not sure if you'll read this or if anyone will, but this is more for me in the end; I didn't get to where I wanted to or at least I thought I wanted career wise, but did land a job that is pretty good. This job carries a lot of responsibility, especially in regards to other people's lives; some times I feel like can't accept the responsibility mostly because I am struggling with my own mental health, and this feel like my job is getting in the way of the work that I am doing to get mentally better. I always wanted to be a hero, now that I am in a position where I can improve the lives of others, I fear the responsibility of it. Mostly the reason of this fear is because I am very unforgiving with myself, and any mistake can impact the lives of people. I recently got a promotion, but the stress & anxiety far outweighs the pay. I've seen this job make people cry, and end up being worn out due to the stress. For the amount of responsibility, and workload you're incurring on, it almost feels like a prison sentence working 20 years into your retirement. Not sure if this is what life is, but I often tell myself that there has to be a better way. I've been looking into learning new trades even though they don't pertain to what I studied which sucks since I am still in debt for my education. How you are supposed to know what you want to do for the rest of your life in your 20s is beyond me. Hope everyone is doing great, and figuring their lives out.

She's a nice-looking addition to the family, I think, despite the name, LOL. That's great advice, one that my Dad tried to make sure us kids understood. I tried to pass that on to my boys. This is advice my youngest needs to hear right now, I'll be e-mailing the link to this video to him. Thank you Dwayne!

Drove through a few parts of TN and that is a really beautiful State too, at least the rural and mountainous parts. I love that part that hugs NC near Asheville, NC.

@@Original-Juice TN definitely gets prettier as you travel west to east. West TN has very few vistas. The Memphis, Brownsville and Jackson areas have the least.
