I'm a 16 year old boy and I started watching your videos and I feel like this is the closest I've gotten to a father figure. it really is one of the most important life lessons. It took me years to cut off a toxic friend who was constantly taking advantage of me financially, and of my good nature. for 10 + years he knew I would bend. One day I simply wasn't there for him anymore. and i'm not the only one. Life's about being happy and surrounding yourself with happy and productive, supporting people.

Dewayne, When I watch your videos I get the sense of listening to a friend who's been through the same things as I have. I'm a little older than you (67). My wife and I are on an incredible journey towards the goal of building our on home with our own hands after renting for 40 years. Carpenter, Farrier (for 20 years) and after "retiring" from Horse shoeing I started my Architectural Blacksmith shop (railings, gates furniture, knives, axes, tool making and teaching). Our property is 750 miles away near Flagstaff Az. So for the past 7 years I have traveled back and forth dozens of time hauling thousands of lbs. of lumber. My 2007 Ford F350 has 196,000 miles on it. The maintenance is crucial. I have to cross the Mojave desert every time. I carry tools, spare parts, duct tape and bailing wire (just in case). It has never stranded me in the middle of no where (which is most of the trip!). It used to scare me in the beginning but after a while you become used to the danger and in my mind I know that whatever happens I will just deal with it. I guess you could call it the "Courage muscle". Nothing scares me anymore because I am on a quest and have the goal of living a life "rent free" . I have just taken up recently tobacco pipe smoking and I kept watching the urges of you to light your pipe over and over and over LOL I know the feeling now I really enjoy the peacefulness that tobacco pipe smoking gives me. You're videos have really helped guide me as the young man I want to be. Your vessel in a storm video was very helpful in particular as was the forging a tempered blade. She was the only person in my caravan. No other family. The only person I loved more than myself was my mother, and I lost her. My best friend and essentially my world. I lived with her during winters when I wasn't farming and ranching. Extreme grief is so damaging, the vehicle is a rusty bucket of bolts. When all your supports fail you, the obvious solution is to support yourself, but how do you maintain your maintenance. You are the type of man I want to be, and essentially a youtube father figure and it kills me that she will never get to see that evolution. Life is awesome. I enjoy riding through life like my hair's on fire. In the morning I count my blessings and thank God for life, family, health, freedom, and people, and lessons. Then I go full boards into my day and accomplish as much as I can accomplish. I feel as long as I have my health and positive mind set I can accomplish anything. I play in a band and manage it also and I always strive to get the best shows I can and to make sure everyone is comfortable in the band. The fact is that in life we can never stop giving our best and we can never stop our desire to improve. And your videos help me keep that fire of life going in my soul.

Thank you for sharing your🐎 story with us!😊 It made a lot of sense, and it was a wonderful analogy! I've practiced a little *Mantra* in my own life; whenever I've been unexpectedly diverted from a person, place, or thing (like your whole crew was during the bad weather) and it absolutely works to keep me calm & focused! Whenever there's a traffic back up, or something else, like bad weather, or a longer line at the grocery store ect. I don't get impatient or upset about it; I just smile & remind myself that Divine Timing is always at work, and then I say my little mantra to myself: *It is NOT happening TO ME* *It is happening FOR ME* I hope that saying helps anyone who comes across this video & this comment! 🤗
May God keep your caravan safe as you travel west. As usual your wise words are timely for this 69 year old lone traveler. Your tip on personal maintenance early in your video especially touched my soul. Thanks Dewayne and may you all have a blessed Easter!
One thing I’ve always tried to do is to be aware of my surroundings. What I’ve learned about Dewayne is that you are situation aware and more. The “and more” part is the most important part. I don’t think you’ve ever done anything that you came away from that experience without learning something that you apply to other aspects of your life. That’s a great point of view and I think that why you are so helpful to all of us. Learning from life and being a good storyteller makes you my kind of teacher. Thanks
I learned a lot of life lessons painting houses. My dad was a WW2 vet he did carpenter and painting work and of course growing up I worked with him. When he retired I carried on the painting work. The goal was to ceil the outside of the house with painting and you got to do it. It was my lively hood and I had a reputation to uphold so it had to be done. Then to drive away knowing I did the job and the owner was satisfied there is a certain feeling from that, well it is hard to explain. You know what I mean. So I hear and feel what you are saying. Sometimes I wonder if I could live that way again but I guess I am too old. Well I will hush. Be good be safe and have fun. Wonder where that came from?
No doubt the Lord has been guiding your passage: I am amazed that you took the time to give us an awesome video on the road! I will keep you all in my prayers for safe travels to windy Wyoming. Believe me I know because I visted my parents in Cody two weeks ago and was able to get in front of the snow storm they have been in. In Him.
Man, Thanks for your time and effort and sharing your experience with all the young bucks that didn’t have anybody to talk some sense to them. Carry on! 👍
Yet another snowstorm coming thru the Rockies here in northern CO. Building the time to hunker down if needed is a key part of any long trip. Just like in Life as you talk about. Being prepared is .. well maybe the actual thinking about being prepared as in not what do I need for this trip but first ' i better be prepared just in case something happens I dont think of.' Just thinking and setting your goals comes with age / maturing. I didnt have many goals in my 20s and 30s since I seemed to be happy but my work was enveloping my life, maybe too much so. But into my 50s that all changed where I started setting timeframes 'I'll do this for 2 years and if its good give it another year". Saw it thru that timeframe and learned it wasnt what i wanted to do forever. So I began figuring to set a new final goal. Now in my early 60s i wish I had set a couple goals earlier in life cause looking back I feel a little regret wasting so much time in one thing. But am hard charging now for the final right one in sight. Dwayne your video further reinforces good thinking for direction and goals. Safe travels, Be careful. Slow n Steady wins the race in the end !
Watching from Guthrie OK and I’m so glad you all were able to safely navigate the other day with the fires during your stay. Here’s to next time being on more regular circumstances.
Utah here hot hard. I pray for more snow. Those who keep praying for better weather now have to deal with the flood. I like it snowy and cold much better than the flood and the heat

love your messages. it doesn't matter what time of day or night but i'll stop whatever I'm doing to listen to Dwayne! @8:00 - Went through this for a decade with an individual who I had to let go because he was toxic and holding my progress back. I'm not alone, he's lost a handful of friends due to Sociopathic tendencies and behavior. His M.O. was taking advantage of everyone financially. Evaluate who you spend the majority of your time with, if someone is making your life counterproductive...cut them loose. You might not want to go it alone either, seek some advice and/or help from your family or closest friends before you cut the ties. But what he says is true...you'll be better for it. Surround yourself with positive and productive people, those who you can lean on, and make sure they know you're there for them too. that's just as important

It made a lot of sense, and it was a wonderful analogy!
I don't get impatient or upset about it; I just smile & remind myself that Divine Timing is always at work, and then I say my little mantra to myself:
*It is NOT happening TO ME*
*It is happening FOR ME*
I hope that saying helps anyone who comes across this video & this comment! 🤗
Yeah, understood, that's powerful C.C. Life is preparation, always... Peace and clarity.
May God keep your caravan safe as you travel west. As usual your wise words are timely for this 69 year old lone traveler. Your tip on personal maintenance early in your video especially touched my soul. Thanks Dewayne and may you all have a blessed Easter!
I had started to miss your videos and wondering if the trip was going well. So happy to see you all are ok. Best of lucks with the rest of the trip 💪
Sheridan Wyoming here, listened to your update. It sounds good. "Make a plan, work a plan," and it sounds like you did!
Thanks
Always be aware of your surroundings
Great job yeah you have a good naket speaking and talking that's awesome keep that up stay safe have a good trip.
Awesome when I see a video from you Dwayne you are soul healing and comforting to listen to. Thanks for being you
No doubt the Lord has been guiding your passage: I am amazed that you took the time to give us an awesome video on the road!
Carry on!
👍
Thanks Dewayne good video , Good video to relax and listen to, sounds like a fun trip
Thank you for your wise words . It means so much for me . God bless you
Safe travels.
You always send the right message at just the right time. Thank you for your wisdom. God bless you and your caravan on your trip.
Glad you are well. I hope to be a deserving leader of a caravaan of sorts too. Im leading for the first time recently also.
I always enjoyed your laid back style of content. Keep it up.
Good hearing your voice again, Dewayne.
I recently began working out again daily, and finally got a good job full time - fixing leaks on water mains. Good hard work, day and night. It’s quite the experience. 👷🏻
Thank you Sir
this man is the Gandalf of USA, thanks for another video Dewayne.

every new video is exactly how my life is going/talking to me , almost like your one of my life messengers thank you very much sir
I have never met a man like you before Dewayne. What you offer then internet "caravan" is priceless. We thank you for being here!
love your messages. it doesn't matter what time of day or night but i'll stop whatever I'm doing to listen to Dwayne!
I love your videos. This one in particular is timely. Appreciate you sharing your wisdom.
You sir always say exactly what I need to hear, Thank you.
