Hi, I have the same lights on on my Skoda Octavia mkii After this happens I took the car to the motorway and drove 50-60 km on 4 gear at 2500 rpm due to the engine lights preventing me to go beyond the 2500rpm. What am I doing wrong? Obviously I didnt use any obd/software to enable regeneration. What do you recommend? Shall I drive more miles? Cheers!
If all lights are on then you have to check with diagnostic tester what is the problem and enable regeneration ,if dpf light only is on then the car will go over 2500 rpm and in that case can enable automatic regeneration

How can I perform diagnostic and enable automatic regeneration without having to go to a garage? I saw you are using Delphi as the diagnosis software, but what obd do I need to enable automatic regeneration? Thanks for your help

hi only if dpf lamp is illuminated then can activate automatic regeneration but its best on high way and to activate you have to full throttle the gears to 3500-4000 rpm and if regeneration is active when you stop the vehicle engine will run at 1000 rpm
Hi. So to be clear Am I wasting my time if no DPF light is on. It regens itself when I get to airport because it’s hot and gets over 80kph for more than 12 mins. I can smell it working and does idle at 900 rpm. My puzzle is. Can I do better maintenance before my work by bring up to temperature and drive it at 100kph at 2500rpm for 30 mins. Or am I wasting my time n fuel. It won’t kick off a regen if not needed . Thank you 🙏🏻
What I think I want to know is . Is there a hard driving regen or just a fuel injection regeneration. Will a hard drive to 4000 revs in all gears start a regen at anytime if filter is only half full.
Byron Deithrick there is only fuel regeneration but the system decides when to start automatic regeneration even if the lamp is not illuminated.so if needed when you full throttle from 1st to 3th at 3500 rpm it will enable regeneration
Hi Igor Have Superb 1.6 TDI CAYC with 245 000 mileage. Yesterday got problem which started with blinking preheat spiral. Today started engine without any problem (no blink "preheat spiral" on board). After approximately 10-15 min start blink preheat spiral and after approximately 10 min engine went to safe mode. No DPF simbol on board. RPM no more 2500 and speed no more 80 km. DPF was periodically blinks, but every time was immediately cleaned with regeneration on highway a few times before. On your opinion where could be problem DPF, EGR, Injector...? In monday have to go on diagnostic.But all is complicating, because now in Czech republic and i have limited in local language. I'm afraid to hear too much from the masters for an extra amount of money.
When you shut off the engine you can hear the egr valve making noise 3-4 times like chk chk and you can hear better if the door if open because the sound is coming from under the vehicle if there is no sound then is possible to be the egr valve also check the electronic coolant pump when you shut off the engine go to engine bay and try to hear if the pump is working this pump is working almost one minute after shut off the engine or buy cheap vcds cable on ebay and check for fault codes your self
Yes and I have to notice that the car is taxi so I think there are more then 500000km and there aren't a lot of problems only timing belts twice egr valve and twice electric coolant pump
Hello, so you know me already because i have commented on yours videos. So i clened the thtottle valve and EGR but my car still stays at 900 rpm in cold weather. I already change de MAP sensor the MAF sensor is cleaned and no ereors on the delphi tester like yours. Whats the issue ? It's normal ? Because somme mechanics here in Romania says it's normal because it's under 10°. Thaks 😊

that is nonsense, injectors are a problem on this engine anyway, but how will the turbo be effected ? the engine can release its exhaust gases freely with dpf gone... what you say makes no sense..
I have tried on one of four skoda,3 of them never had problem with injectors or turbo and they have 500000km but one that I removed dpf made this problems twice so I returned back like it was and how there's no problem

The problem was with egr valve but you have to check what fault codes have your vehicle because it can be different problem and still same lights

Vag group usually need to be driven on the road I have never met to vag vehicle to activate regeneration stand still

As long as the fault p2563 is permanent you can't activate regeneration did you check the vacuum actuator on turbo is it moving
Can I do this without diagnostic machine in 1.2 polo tdi with exact same lights
You can try if there is no other problem it will activate regeneration on highway

EGR (Had same problem), It cost me 70 pounds for EGR KIT + 200 pounds to replace it (5-7 hours work)

Yes usually this engine can run on higher rpm when is cold just one question at idle how much is your consumption on your board computer?

When i turn the engine in cold yeah it's plus like 0.9 but after like 2-3 minutes stays at 0.5 or 0.7 nothing strange because it's cold outside
