A vw engine with a blocked dpf, cant remember the last times i seen one on here. The only problem i have ever connect to the ecu is with italian cars and normally only happens with a cheap tool, never had a problem with the launch software.
I have the same car , no fault code but after one minutes of driving my car RPM increase to 1000, it sapos to be 750 rpm, i replaced the Air flow sensor, but did not fix my problems.
The car idling at 1000rpm means that it’s in regen mode. Continue driving for a couple of minutes with a bit of blast here and there,or leave it running until regen completed
@@ricardopereira771 I fixed my can, I disconnected the battery negative terminal waiting for 5 minutes and after that connected back battery ,the car fixed. Magic
That was really different from others so far seen, many thanks Jimmy, I couldn't catch why did you have to switch to the Otofix (function wise) and what did you use on it that wasn't available /in the Euro3 scan tool?
Probably just software issues/glitch. Seen cars where Texa idc5 (expensive and good tool) couldn't reset a fault or do a learn procedure and an AliExpress Delphi/wow clone with software crack could....
Hi Jimmy. Brilliant again as usual. Is there any way that you have found of switching off the light with the launch tab? Seems crazy that a tablet that costs 6 grand can’t do what a 500 quid one can. Thanks again for a very educational video bud.
I tried all day to clear the codes on a Skoda Octavia 2 vRS. I've ran DPF cleaner into the DPF and run the car for a good 10 minutes at 2500 RPM. I've tried to autel diagnostic machines the 906 and the 808 but no matter what I do I can't clear the DPF and glow plug light. I've adapted the values for the particulate filter but every time I try and do it regeneration it recognises the soot load is high when measured. I haven't been able to get it to a position where when I turn the engine back on it's showing no warning lights. Have you got any advice as this is driving me insane haha
Is there any way to override the max stationary revs to over 2500rpm? These are limited to 2500rpm which is not great when you are trying to do something like this when you need full revs at stationary to blow all the gunk out
Jimmy, are you doing merch'? Just noticed the new hat! Also, as most Chinese based scanners run launch software, why do you think some scanners work better than the original launch? Are otofix on Autel software?. Interesting thought.
People that have cars with dpf should use a low saps oil every 6k, every few weeks chuck some premium shell fuel and make sure the car gets a good run at least 2wice a week and all will be fine, for ford owners well we know the codes and issues 🤣🤣
I have been following your channel for a long time now Jimmy, have you ever done a dpf clean on an Isuzu Dmax? I have had a look and can't find a single video on your UA-cam.

The launch software can be a faff on these compared to autel jimmy, if you go through the secure online login function and then into basic settings it should work 👍

We had a 2.0 TDi Octavia Estate (2014 Euro 5) that would do tiny miles all round London at work Never had a blocked DPF ever. All we did for 6 years was change the oil and oil filter every year and once changed the fuel and air filter. Did 25k miles in 6 years. Pretty decent system
