I had enough spending fortunes on so called DPF cleaners, I opted to use oven pride, the stuff you put in a bag to clean your racks, I pumped it diluted 50% with distilled water into my Ford Transit Connect, 2018 68 plate euro 6 ecoblue well known for DPF issues, which had failed to complete a forced regeneration since October last year, soot level was 65%, and I wasn’t getting any automatic DPF regenerations during some long distance driving , I did however get a warning exhaust soot overload and to take vehicle for service, engine management light on, using a Autel MK808BT Pro scanner with the cable connected, (doesn’t work) if using Bluetooth, connect the cable between scan tool and obd2 adapter, otherwise using bluetooth times out, and you get a network error, this took me about and hour, and rev’s maintained 2000 rpm, regeneration completed, and van is running smoothly again.
Hi Rahul, first of All thank you for your videos, and the love you put in to explain to all of us, I need your help if you don't mind, I have a Peugeot 308 20I6 purtech. I had the service engin light first, for few days, then Check engine light followed and straight away after lose of power, I still can do 2000 to 3000 tpm, I have tried your methods, (Mr muscles and even added vinegar) I have seen the smoke and as well I can say the exauste looks Celan now, however there is still the lights on, I drove in the motor way for over Minutes but temperature still don't exceed 80, please what can you recommend me, ? Nb (I don't have one scaner) Thank you in advance mate.
2015 Passat 2.0 TDI. P2459. So, I should put a bottle of regular draino drain cleaner down the DPF and run the engine until the soot stops coming out the exhaust. Then spray a can of DPF cleaner into the hose. Then drive at highway speed for an hour and the MIL (check engine) light will go off on its own? Does the Passat need a manual regen or will it automatically? Thanks for the great video. All the best.
Thanks for the video but how much drain cleaner do you put in and also why take the dfp sensor off first time I can only see it needing taking off for second stage when you put dpf cleaner spray down it?
When you took the dpf sensor off does the spray not go into the right hand thinner tube which I think is before the dpf not after than the left one? Thanks.
So lets have a look at the job done, your pouring a very corosive cleaner mr muscle (not designed to do this type of job) into the top of the DPF filter, right nect to the Turbo, that chemical is so corrosive that it will damge the Turbo oil seals, also your risking that chemical going into the back of the exhaust manifold and causing damge to the valves and piston rings, pour enough in and your going to cause hydro lock on the engine, you need to use a proper 02 sensor removal tool from the start as to not damage the 02 sensor and its threads, forced regenerations are the very last thing that any one should be doing and an oil change is a 100% must afterwards as the forced regeneration will contaminate the engine oil with diesel, I would strongly recomend a natural regeneration on the road as you did, dont forget to tech in the dpf statistics after the road test.
Thanks for watching really appreciate it. To be honest I tried the proper o2 sensor tool the sensor was too tight. I get what you are saying about the corrosive mr muscle but I didnt really leave it in there flush it out pretty much straight away. Anyway thanks for watching
Great advice and it reminds me how important regular oil replacements are with a diesel that has dpf, Egr valve.. It seems many are doibg FORCE REGENS & adding cleabing liquids without knowing the consequences of the long-term health of an engine, its seals and tolerences… thanks for reminder about oil change👍🏻
I have a vw passat 2008 I followed your instructions with the Mr muscle put the full 500mil in, started the car and didn't see any smoke like on your video so I don't really know if all the Mr muscle is still in the dpf or not I ran it 15 mind up to now and still no smoke and the dpf light is still on il let it tick over no for another 5 min and see what happens but not very hopeful
Hi there, I have a 2013 VW Passat TDI 2.0 here in the US. My CEL is on with code P2413 and now the idle is up and down ?? Any idea please? And by the way, I like your shirt !
Respect for the comment on the shirt. As for your problem I think the DPF is blocked and what that is doing is messin your EGR VALVE UP. So what I would do is replace the EGR VALVE clean the DPF and get a manual regen. Note you should no manually Regen it more that 3 times hope that helps
R4UL, I’ve had Passat b7 2011 1.6 tdi CAY B sitting in the drive for over a year, cause smoke coming from I think the tube you removed at the beginning of the video, the tube/ pipe with the cover on it, what the bloody hell is that tube anyway, and only underload ( after driving) no smoke from that area even if sitting idle 2 hours. Am going to get the tube cover off and see if it’s split or something. No lights - no codes on vcds. Bloody hell that dpf getting hell of warm. Thank god I’ve still got my BXE pd Octavia mk2, egr & oil cooler delete, was running it on clean straight cooking oil for over a year untill prices cooking oil price went crazy 😝
Might need a few tips after tomorrow if not split, smoke not coming from the clamp, definitely at the tube or below, impossible to bloody see. Already new rocker cover gasket last week, all clean and dry top and down the back, got to be the tube
I have a Yaris I was wondering if you could change the brake caliper pistons, pads and discs on, similar to one of your videos. I'm local to you. How do I get in touch?
Hi i have a 2012 jetta tdi, I have used 3 cans of dpf/catalytic cleaner, I get brief white smoke, the car will not auto regenerated. I purchased the VCDS hoping to do a forced regen while parked and it will not do that either, VCDS says error. Trying to avoid taking the dpf filter off completely. also im getting dpf pressure of 305mbar while driving, super high. Do you have any suggestions. Also will the drain cleaner hurt the egr or catalytic converter?
Thanks for watching really appreciate it. The drain cleaner should not effect anything as long as you flush everything out. I think you have a problem with the EGR valve dose the car surge up and down
@@TEAMR4ULTV Well the draino seemed to work!! However using the VCDS we had already replaced the erg valve, egt lower/rear sensor/ intake runner manifold module bc it had 2 errors mechanical and electrical, along with the little bracket for the P0125 code, and a glow plug, I had alread used 3 cans of the same catalytic/DPF cleaner you had in the video...At that point is when i messaged you.... so yesterday we did a full bottle of draino!! let sit for 1 hour and started her up! hooked up to the VCDS on the hour drive home and the soot level started at 207 and went down to ZERO!! engine light went off, but the DPF light was still on, so told VCDS we replaced the DPF and then did a Manual while parked regen..... and NO CODES and all the boost is back!!!! I'm So Happy! thanks for the video and advice!!
Hi thanks for watching really appreciate it. I think on the Tiguan it's more difficult because its 4 wheel drive, the transfer box comes in the way. I say take it to a local garage and let them just check it

@@TEAMR4ULTV can you help me out bud, on the dpf sensor there’s two pipes. One going to the dpf, the problem I’ve got is the other pipe. I’ve got same engine cay B and the pipe isn’t connected to anything just hidden on clamp beside the dpf. Haven’t a clue where it is meant to go

Does vw Sharan 2012 had manual regen or automatic? Is it possible to do this without software? If not which software is cheapest. Thank you

It's exactly the same as Wurth turbo cleaner. Other brands too.

Which Mr. Muscle was used for this? There are various types for drains, cleaning ovens, etc.
Drain unblocker

Nic video sir
You don't have to do a forced regen,,just put the spray in and bring revs up to 3k for 15 mins,,you don't have to drive the car,,,
What should you do when you cant drive 45km/h? x) My Passaw is only able to drive 30km/h (swedish rebuilded car) (A-traktor)
Its not about speed. Its about RPM. Drive with 3000 RPM.
Great info can I use the spray mr muscle or must it be the liquid stuff you used thanks 👍👌
