7800X3D and Sapphire Nitro+ 79000XTX are holding up great. we really need better GPUs at this point; i don't think i've ever seen my CPU past 70% util outside of testing.

I have four Raijintek Ophion Evo M cases I got for some builds that I bought for 62 bucks. I plan to sell them all and got a 5500 for 83 bucks for what will be my lowest budget one that will sell really faster. I'm probably grabbing a 5700X3D for another to build a 1000-ish buck 4k build with a 6800XT I got laying around. It's a great time build if you are going for the highest end builds.

@@andrewcutthroat31Especially running at 4k. A log of games are GPU limited so you won't even need a faster CPU. I'd say 70% CPU utilization is getting up there though but most games aren't that CPU demanding.

@@brandonpayne1207 i've only hit 70% on M&B:BL2 with a mod that lifts the unit cap, ~2000 independent units running around makes the cpu work lol. and i've been playing in 4k, it's unbeatable clarity. most games work with everything on ultra, but there are some poorly optimized AAA games where i can only get 60 ish frames.

The first three times I tried to access this video, UA-cam warned me this was a sponsored video, instead of letting me watch the video. The most irritating thing about this is that, not only do they not provide a way to bypass their warning, they also don't add the video to my history, and since when I back out of theur warning, I have a whole new list of recommended videos, so I have to do a search for the video.
Is UA-cam deliberately trying to make my UA-cam experience as distasteful as possible?

I just bought a new 7500f for $130. I'm pretty sure there's nothing that can beat that in price/performance. I was thinking of waiting for the 9600, but I'm pretty sure it'll still be $200+ till the mid of next year.

I think it would make th most sense for AMD to release the new x3d chips just in time for the new gpus. If they release a 16 core all v-cache CPU, that'll be nuts.

No real access to 7500f in the US, but I got the 7600 for $190 which I felt was quite decent. Although I wish I had just spent more to get an 8 core, like the 7700 on sale for $250. Then I'd just have 8 good cores and not have to worry about it anymore.

I would recommend reversing the spreadsheet columns with bi-monthly prices to go from left to right, as you are doing progression. Also, you have 'Change' at the end, so it would make sense to have the latest relative prices right next to it. Adding original retail prices might be useful as well.
If you want to keep the monthly columns as they are, at least put 'Change" after 'CPU', so it is next to the relative (latest) month. It would make the chart more efficient/easier to read. :)

Only the "few" remaining people who havent upgraded at all will go for the 9000 (x3D) ones, but the 9000 series will sell better in the future unless Intel pulls out something really amazing.

Hello Jason, I am writing to you from Caracas, Venezuela. I would like your recommendation to build my PC. Currently I have already purchased an MB X670 GAMING
I only need the graphics card (I'm thinking about a Gigabyte Radeon RX 7900 GRE), the Gigabyte TPM 2.0 Module, the M.2 SSD (I'm thinking about a Crucial T705), the power supply (It could be a Gigabyte GP -UD850GM PG5 Rev2.0) and the Case that I have fallen in love with so far is the LianLi Lancool 216.
What do you think of this setup? and what would be your settings?
    Greetings from Venezuela!!!!

Really showcases how we are being taken advantage of most of the time when they can reduce prices like 50% over base MSRP and still be in the green...
Also warning I wouldn't buy a 7900X3D for gaming, it's a dual CCD 6+6 core CPU and suffers from the associated issues with CCD switching tasks.
Don't go thinking you are gonna save 10-20 moneyz and somehow outperform a 7800X3D, theres a reason this CPU is getting such a high discount to the point it's now cheaper than the in theory lower part in the chain.

    • @valentin3186

RX 8000 allegedly will focus on mid+range. 7700xt, 7800xt, 7900xt may drop in price which is a pretty natural and expected as seen with 6000 series. For cpu maybe wait for 9600 non-X to drop in price if Ryzen 9000 has significant memory support optimization, otherwise 7500f from Ali is okay

    • @PCBuilderChannel
      @PCBuilderChannel  3 місяці тому

If that is the level of performance you are looking for, I wouldn't wait. It is entirely possible that AMD will remove the deals from the 7000 series once the 9000 series hits shelves to incentivize you to buy that instead. That is what they have historically done, and these current CPU price cuts came as quite a surprise to me. Besides, once you are on AM5 you can't really go wrong as you can always upgrade the CPU in a couple years.

18:57 Intel came out saying that Igor's lab finding is only one of the reasons, but there are others as well and they still do not know all the factors.
Personally I refuse to believe that Intel does not know what is the issue with their 13900K,S and 14900K,S processors. I think they know it exactly, but they have been trying to avoid to admit it publicly at any cost because that would force them to accept RMAs globally or face class action lawsuit.
