Kojima has an incredible Talent of fusing Batshit Insaneness with Real and actually good Drama and Social Commentary. That's why I love his Games so much.
Kojima is to videogames as Araki is to anime.
So what happened is, the white kid, "Eli", was more angry than the man on fire, so the girl, who was really a boy who could do all this mind reading and pyschic stuff, detected Eli, who was nearby on a helicopter, and latched onto Eli, because Eli could give them more power through the intensity of their emotions. They used this opportunity to break free of Skullface's control. The Pyschic would later become Pyscho-Mantis from MGS1, a boss, and a close associate of Liquid Snake, aka Eli.

The Quarantine Zone is quite literally the best and most heartbreaking series of events even after the level in the game. Its not because the people are memorable as they're mainly randos you collect that get put there via programming lottery, but how its done. The execution of the whole thing feels like a fucking failure on your part. And the hallway cutscene that follows says everything about the character of Venom in just actions.
Btw, what he says at 38:38 isn't a joke. If you stop playing the game for a week right before fighting the old man, he actually dies of old age and you can skip the fight all together.
If someone wants a weapon of mass destruction from you, chances are they don't have a problem with using torture.

It’s revealed that Ocelot hypnotized himself into having Liquid’s personality. So I don’t think that counts as Liquid being the antagonist of MGS4.

People think the Metal Gear series story is more complicated than it is. It SEEMS complicated but the messages and themes are pretty clear when you get through the games. MGS3's ending with Snake and the Boss always chokes me up.
It's like Kingdom Hearts, watching a video about the story makes it seem so convoluted and confusing, you just need to play the games and you'll get it.

I checked something which I was reminded of for Metal Gear 5. If it looked like Boss had a horn, it’s because they had a mechanic called Demon Points/Hero Points. Do good things/be merciful, get hero points. Act like an asshole, get Demon Points/Lose Hero Points, and the same in reverse. Hero points will make more men join your mercenaries, demon points cause the “metal shard” embedded in Boss’ face to grow bigger until it looks like a horn.
🤔 Did Maxor intentionally act like an asshole when he played the game, because then there would be less men he would need to mercy-kill in the ending segment?
Getting more demon points also covers Big Boss in a permanent (until you lower the points) splatter of blood
the stairs are so long so you have to listen to the whole song

Been hooked on MGS ever since I played the first one on the PS1, Kojima has such a talent for writing the most convoluted and batshit insane plots and still make them resonate with you in some way.
I am in so much pain right now! I’m watching this while eating some extremely spicy ramen. Your laughter is contagious so my attempt to hold back a laugh was a complete failure, I shot the spicy broth through my nose, and then realized the end of a foot long noodle was dangling out of my nostril and had to pull the damn thing out. I don’t know if you wanted to know that, but now you do. 🤣

It's been so long since I've beaten volgin in mgs3 that i didn't realize him being a man on fire covered in bullets in mgs5 actually makes sense as a callback.
Lmao, too bad he didn't seem to get a conclusive ending in 5.
(Oh yeah, and if anyone didn't notice the clothing, the electric russian in the second half of this vid is the same dude that's on fire in the first half)
Idk about anyone else but the ladder part in MGS3 is still one of my favorite moments in that game. I don't know anyone who disliked it.

Metal Gear is my favorite videogame franchise ever, I would love to see you play the games, my personal favorite and the best one in my opinion is MGS V, Venom and Quiet are my favorite characters. But they are all great games with great characters and great gameplay, and an amazing story.

11:39 quiet breathes through her skin. So, taking a shower would literally suffocate her. A side note, I would be fine with quiet if it was for two things. 1, she just likes dressing that way. Her skin color is pretty good for camo anyways for the desert areas, and she can literally go invisible. 2, they didn't give you the ability to watch her shower. Not only is it stupid in the lore, it's just creepy.

I like max0r but i think his mgs5 video is really biased, whiny and he seems genuinly mad at the game for some reason. He just skips over big parts of the story because its "its out of context". Its a fun video but I dont think its very fair. Then again it does not have to be its his channel, just my opinion.
But yes mgs5 was tushed towards the end so some content had to be cut. Not as much as people tend to make it out to be.
