- This is the last installment of our Baja series. Like all good things, this too must come to an end. The end of this series marks the end of an era for us. As we make our way north through the final stretch of Baja we reflect on our time out of the country, the joys of foreign travel, and our time in this home on wheels. What a wonderful series. I love Baja so much, but have always seen it through resorts, although I have hiked around a bit. My love for the area is huge. San Pedro Martir's NP is one of my most favorite destination in Baja. I studies wildland fire effects there for many years. Glad to see you mage it there, it's such a jewel!

You have a very good point. With a reliable vehicle you are an adventure channel, travel and photography...and more....when you have an unreliable vehicle you are a traveling vehicle repair story. Until you pointed it out I didn't notice but it is a good point. Vintage vehicles are cool and all, but the piece of mind of a good, reliable vehicle is priceless. Looking forward to the next set of wheels you find and the places they take you to.
I feel like until you have stood on both sides of that scenario it isn't something many people think about. When people would tell us they missed how cute our van was, I just chuckle to myself because its so easy for other people to say. For us, those unreliable vehicles were consuming every spare moment we had. We were traveling in spite of those vehicles and its a miracle we had the desire to go on after them. But we knew that there was validity to the concept of the life we were after if we could just hang on long enough to see it to fruition.
You continue to inspire in so many ways. I've been saving this last episode because I didn't want it to end, even as I sit here in Baja, and it did not disappoint! I see more due to your photographic lenses and aperture of heart. Todo bien. Muchas gracias.
I was late to the premier but thank you for taking us on what I thought was supposed to be a relaxing, non-filmed vacation down to Baha. I hope that you have a satisfying amount of time to enjoy yourselves without having a camera in your hand every moment looking for the perfect wave/bird/or dead critter. I cried too as I watched the finale go live. It always feels like the end of a chapter of life as each one of these series usually takes about a year to bring to life. But it is happy tears as I feel so lucky to have experienced it and then had the privilege to bring something to life out of it!

Gosh I hardly remember it was some small road side spot in Ciudad Constitución. The ones in Guerrero are the ones I recommend the most!

I just started watching your videos. You guys must be rich. I noticed you have very expensive equipment, cameras, horrible expensive camper truck, tires, clothes you guys wear. Did your parents leave you two a nice fortune to buy all this stuff? Where are guys from? How did you get the money to start adventures like these? You must be in your late twenties, early 30's. what are you future adventures taking you?
I always find it bothersome that people automatically assume we have been handed what we have. Is it so hard to imagine that you can work really hard and be successful in your own right? Because that is what we've done. We knew that with out skill, talent, and determination that we could build a life of our own design and make the work we want to make. We have fostered relationships with brands that help us fund this projects of passion. Otherwise, we are headed to south america with our new truck
