- While stopped in town, we run into Kirk Williams of @impact.overland and become quick friends. We decide to spend some time traveling together. We explore an incredible mission town before deciding to cross Baja on a little known 4x4 road. Not entirely sure what we'll find, we venture out. Along the way we see a little know part of Baja and stumble into a few incredible small oasis towns.

Kirk is a legend and gave me the confidence to know I could also do Vanlife. Just passed 3 years on the road 🎉
Another great video, another great sunset. You guys are rad.
Been fighting a variety of health issues the last month, combined with contracted work not getting done and the passing of my step mom has had me in a funk. Then comes along your next episode which I deliberately waited to watch till Monday night when I’d have time, and we’ll perspective is that smack in the face we all need once in a while. We all face challenges and the answer is always: forward, never give up, no such thing as quit, ever onward! Yet another fantastic episode, can’t wait for next week!
Loving the animal photography. NatGeo quality.
Thank you so so much!
This was so good! I’m totally in awe of Kirk! I love his van! You guys are the best!
Right?! He is the best!
Really enjoyed this episode on many different levels. I’m an adaptive ski instructor in the winter, it’s awesome to see Kirk exploring such amazing places. I’m also heading to Baja for some surf and travel next weekend. If you see a red raptor with a GFC give a wave.
Oh how cool! Yeah he is such an inspiration! We wish we'd be down there this year but I dont think we can make it... which is so sad but we have some other big things coming down the line!
Ok, really friends...... How in the world can yalls videos get any more awesome'er? The joy and happiness brings me tears sometimes... But this one, dang!! Kirk, wow, dude is just incredible!!! Can't wait till the next vid to see some more awesome friends!! Keep livin and keep loving!!! Much love as always from Nashville!!
Your videos capture so many different and interesting aspects of travel and I enjoy the different viewpoints and settings. Kurt is a courageous man, I'm humbled by his desire to not accept limits in his life. Thanks!
Yeah he is. We feel lucky to know him and call him a friend. It was an honor to be able to share a little about him as I feel like we all can learn from him!
Wow, beautiful video with real beautiful people. Love it!
Wow! Watching your amazing videos have now become the highlight for me each week! The photography and commentary are both so inspiring. And, meeting your friend Kirk was also such a blessing. Thanks again for all of your great efforts!
Wow, thank you! Its an honor to be apart of your week!
Wow Kirk is an icon
Thanks for another beautiful video!🥳💕
Thanks for watching!
Watching in the beautiful 1000 islands Canada ...burrrrrrrr FALL has moved into winter so Mexico and Baja will warm me up (or at least my hot tub will)
We will bring you the warm vibes from Baja then!
YOU definitely brought those warm Vibes and much more.....Merci Beaucoup@@BoundForNowhere
I just love the photography and landscape filming. We are about to retire and have visited Loreto twice in the last 3 years. I am trying to talk the lady into living in Loreto. In my "bucket list" I have a San Ignacio visit and going to the bay to pet gray whales. I hope to do this in January/February 2025. Thanks guys also for the storytelling. Good luck!
Great photography as usual! Best compositions of any YT channel I’ve ever followed. 🎉
such a great video, the old architecture of those towns is so cool. You guys are still keepin me motivaed to get back out on the road. as of this week my camper is more real object than drawing. if i keep this up ill have a camper by the end of the series. cant wait for the next episode
You got this! Keep doing small things every day to work towards it and one day it will be done and you will be on the road. Took us years to make it happen ourselves
Love this! Amazing photography and commentary.
Thanks so much!
Another beautiful episode ❤
We appreciate that!
I will be watching this on the beach on Taiwan in my own Margaritaville!
Hope you enjoy it!
💜💜💜💜💜HOLY WOWDY!💜💜💜💜💜 As usual stunningly Amazing. Thank you for your insightful work ~peace~
Thank you kindly
One of the founding members of Baja Bound insurance was my neighbor in San Diego. Nice to see they are still around. I loved living in San Diego and being so close to the border.
What a small world! They are great over there! All we ever use!
I have mondays off from work so i enjoy watching this with a hot cup of coffee, gets me excited for my next baja trip in late December, There is always something new to discover in baja, a small town, a surf spot or a new remote trail, awesome video and cool locations!
Hope you enjoy it! I think that is what I love about Baja. Doesn't give up its secrets easily!
Honestly been binging yalls videos lately. Love the story telling style
This is a great video and inspirational.
Yeah he is truly the best!
Ok you two you just up the game with some grooving tunes, awesome content, and an inspirational video. For this I say thank you from the beaches of Taiwan!
So glad you enjoyed!
Got some things in the mail at my cabin, thank you.@@BoundForNowhere
Now that is a rendition of a classic on such a different level, I can't remember who wrote the original !
bueno, bueno, bueno!!!
Muchisimas Gracias
I’ve always wanted to go for a full moon walk in the Sonoran dessert 🌝
It would look like daylight with cast shadows! It is so wild!
@@BoundForNowhere 👍 - plus abounding with nocturnal animals.
But, we know to wear tough boots and beware of scorpions
I just received in the mail a Duluth Trading Co catalog and saw a familiar face in it 😉
just happy I wasn't smoking a blunt and wanting something food now. 😂
HAHHHA The occupational hazards of our videos!
I wish I knew the name of the town you ended up in. I've been on the dirt road out of San Javier and camped (in my FWC) at the goat ranch. That's as far as we went. Is that the road you guys were on?
Sorry to ask but, you had a steering contraption on the wheel supporting your wrist. That seems super dangerous when 4 wheeling given the snap and tug of the wheel. Be careful.
Not using that tripin would be super duper dangerous. Such is life in a wheelchair.
The power steering does a great job absorbing most of the feedback. The tripin is necessary because I don’t have any grip in my fingers to hold the wheel any other way. It’s well worth the risk for the reward you can see here imo
Thanks for jumping in here Kirk
How do you and Kirk afford this life?
I can only speak for myself, but we make a living as photographers and filmmakers. You know, making this sorta thing.
Canines 🦷
Talking about the skull?
@@BoundForNowhere absolutely
FYI. The lemon juice will cook the shrimp. Just let soak for a bit. You shouldn't boil your shrimp/fish.
So I looked into a ton of shrimp ceviche recipes and they all called for a quick 2 min blanch on them as I too thought they would be fine without any heating in water. But they were so tender and it turned out perfectly so I still dont think it was a wrong way to do it
@BoundForNowhere it's Just an extra step. Some say it gives a different texture, but that's if you leave it too long in the lemon juice. Just soak it till you see it change color and you're good. As a Mexican, it works. Good luck.
