We use the same blade on our JD400. We use an old thin metal bathtub hooked over the top of the blade to haul yard debris etc. Looks funny but works well. Screwed through the metal to a 4x4 block situated to hold the tub out from the blade to make it level. Someone with a welder could easily make forks to hook over the top of the blade and hang over the front. I have never used my blade for snow but use it all the time for maintaining our 1/4 mile gravel driveway and leveling dirt.
Thanks. That's the idea. Moving those rounds with the 430 was dramatically easier that manually lifting them. I dont know if the larger ones were the best thing for it but no harm done to us or the tractor. Thanks for watching!
@@tractorstrailsandlivingfree man you do a better job than I do explaining things that you are doing to the tractor or the work that you are doing!! Keep up the good work and keep putting out the good content!!
NIce use of what you have. I grew up on the farm and farmed myself for many years so I've seen a lot of accidents. I cringed every time I saw your son step behind the tire as you backed up a bit. When I was young I watched a man beside me reach over to relax at the end of the row working on a potato harvester. He absent mindedly put his finger in a moving chain. It ripped the end of it off in a split second.
@@SF-fm7ov Ouch! I didn't catch that, but I know he's super aware of the jobsite and grew up farming himself. It is really important around equipment to always know what's going on around you.
Awesome video!!

What you described sounds practical. That lift cylinder is pretty strong in my opinion.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Not a bad idea in my mind!!! Working with what you have and love that you are using that old JD430!! I have 2 of them myself… they are workhorses!!

Yep, worked better than I thought it would when I first had the idea.

I would have strapped one on the rear also. If you had the necessary straps.
I agree. That definitely would have helped a lot.
Build a loader for the tractor it’s easy
Just looked at your video library. I'll have a look at some of those videos but I'm sure your fabrication skills are beyond my current level.
