Great tutorial. What a few pictures and good advice can do to help my detailing look so much better. Thank You so much........JIM
Will definately use this technique for when the Revell Porsche 918 is released. Cheers!!
Great tutorial...looks much better than simply painting on the silver color on the highlights or trying to dry brush for the effect...nicely done...
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
Very cool! Will definitely be having to do this!
Great tutorial easy to understand. Thanks a lot.
God bless all here
That was neat.
Wow! So that's how to do it. Thanks!
thank you for a great tip
thanks for the video :)
very good tutorial. I tried to do it but the bottom paint layer had been a bit stripped as well. So, to weaken the adherence of top layer, I applied with my fingertip a little coat of automotive wax on the wheel so the bottom layer wasn't stripped as a consequence.
Wooow....Nice Vídeo...Good Job....!!! Thanks.Frank
Can you use this technique on factory chrome valve covers?
Again a really helpful easy to follow and nice Video you did there ... The result is awesome and I love how they look ... Well I want to improve myself in this modeling hobby and I love the results from your airbrush . I really want one too but I don't have the money to spend on a really expensive one ... Do you have a recommendation for a good airbrush below 70€ or an alternative to brush cans ?
Even though keep doing your awesome work man!
Thanks man!
Well not really, but if you search ebay something will pop up, they are just not as good. But great for starting of!
how to buy this air brush i m from india and i have also a scale model car modifier.
+The Scalemodelling Channel, would i be able to use tamiya paint over the zero paint or does it have to be vallejo?
+Mal Richardson tamiya paint is different. That is not fully water based. Its a mic of water based with enamel. So im not sure if ilt work
great tutorial! which kit are those wheels (with the big 4x4 tires) from? they look ideal for a pickup I've got planned
+Marcus Reynolds Revell Ford F-150 Raptor snap kit.
+The Scalemodeling Channel Thanks, I'll see if I can 'snap' one of those up ;)
Hello, do you use any primer at the beginning and clear coat after all?
Yes
can u do a ae86
Did you let the valejo dry first before applying the thinner?
yes, for a 30 minutes or something
Didn’t know that’s how diamond cutting is done..
tried it out with som zero paints flat black over zp primer and on top Vallejo metal air chrome but the Flat black came off too :/
Wich thinner or cleaner did you use? Zero paints or Vallejo. You could also try clearcoating the black first and then applying the vallejo.
I used the Vallejo thinner like you did. Clearcoating could have worked. But i painted the black parts by hand now. Going to try it on some other build sometime.
Am I the only one that thought this tutorial teaches you how to diamond cut real wheels...?
