Great video 😄 going to do this on my original wheels, then do the ones I've currently got on the car. Both sets are diamond cut, and both sets have oxidised under the laquer, i just wasnt sure how agressive to go with the grit, was planning on going up to 1200 - thanks for being clear with everything guys!😂
Awesome 👍
That’s just given me the motivation and idea to do mine and save £200 spot on well done 👍
Look great good job 👍
This is amazing, can't wait to try it out. Thanks a lot
No worries, best of luck.
This is brilliant 💯
Thank you
Nice job but my curb rash is not so easily removed
Cracking vid lads
Thanks dude
Top man
Thanks
Looks great guys. If you really want it to last, use a 2k clear. Spraymax in a can is an example.
Thanks Dean.
It gonna come off as well. It must be Direct to Metal - DTM clear coat, unfortunately is unavailable in cans
@@BBoySewo I've used the 2K, it has worked fine for me
I did similar on a Renault clio with diamond cut, used a black and decker mouse to remove old lacquer on diamond cut surface, scuff marks and original diamondd cut that remained. Polished with solvol autosol and then gave it a number of coats of clear lacquer, from home bargains as well. My black paint was OK. Can't sya how, long it will last as a few months after doing it my car hit a rock and smashed the auto gearbox and was written off.
Savage Ending 😂😂😂
You must put a good thick coat of laquer to stop the water getting through and causing white marks, every wheel refurbisher doesn't use enough laquer
Very true, this is a DIY budget job but when i do it on the retail cars i load up the laquer
Fkn tell me about it. My coffee coloured wheels look bad after our wet winter.
Whit a job. Nice 1
Thank you.
Amazing results indeed!
Two Steven's... Isn't too much!? lol :))))
Thanks Alex, I was just testing some editing skills I learnt 😂
There was me thinking you had found yourself a twin brother
Hi Mate
Why did not use finer sand paiper
Like 500-1000 grid ?
Thanks
I believe it's because they want to get like a diamond cut look
Does lacquering the matte paint make it glossy?
Yes mate
Thanks! I'm going to try this soon, I use that exact same paint for refurbishing push bikes, didn't think it'd be high enough quality for something like this but yours looks very good 👌
Please tell me you wore a face mask with that lacquer and paint!!
Of course
placing the cans so hard.... Trying to make us deaf. Such an entertainer.👾
Tried all of this, it didn't have the same result as getting it done properly. Wasted my time.
This is a budget way dude, 100% you will get better results getting it done properly but you also pay a premium for it.
You clearly did it badly.
@@skylined5534 You don't get the same result as a machine cut and you know it.
Removing paint is not the same as diamond cutting…
We kn ow mate its just a budget fix that people can do at home.
And yet the end result looks extremely close to diamond cut wheels. You know that it's just passing a diamond carbide insert in a lathe over the relevant areas yes?
What the chaps have done here is incredibly good especially given the budget.
What a pony, not a clue
😂 Ok
Please don’t try this 😬
🤣
Don't try this because?
They look mint 😍 👌
Thanks mate
Great job, but I don’t think it’ll last, perfect if you’re selling them though 👍
This is a budget refurb but if you stretch to 2k lacquer it would last
