Best thing I’ve had bought for the house and makes painting things easier,It’s obviously takes more time in preparation and the cleaning of the Wagner after the Job is done,It’s takes longer to do the above things than the spraying,Most definitely recommend,Painted my whole house and garden fences in no time at all.💯

Hello The technology is very different but in simple terms Airless spraying is typically used for spraying larger surfaces and HVLP for small to medium projects. Hello Robert, the difference between the WAGNER 250M and 250R is in the construction of the machine frame. Was going to buy the 150m but many bad reviews ten 1* reviews and five 2* reviews and reports of bad cheap material inside resulting in machine not working and leaking and breaking down after one or two times being used and none existing customer service in the UK Don't know what to think 🤔Was going to buy but don't want to take chance? Yep the 150 is a bit of a higher end diy thing...the poor reviews need to be addressed by the company.
I'm looking at painting a new house, I've tried to use a spray gun before (both air and airless) on metal surface but get get paint runs and not necessarily a smoth finish. Do water based paints through your Wagner models spray easier than the oil based paints?
Hello Mark Thank you for your question. Yes, you can use both water-based and oil-based paints with Wagner airless sprayer and HVLP machines, however, we would recommend using water-based paints. This a preferably because they are easier to dilute simply by added water and easier to clean the machine up afterwards and they're readily available for a wide range of applications. If you are spraying wall emulsion it is normally water based and if spraying exterior smooth masonry paint is also water based. Kind Regards The WAGNER Team

Hiya Craig. Could you spare a minute for some advice please? Going to purchase the 250 for bare plaster throughout the house. I’ve stripped all picture rails , architraves and skirts to bare wood. Would a smaller handheld be a better option for the woodwork or would the 250 be perfect for all? Thanks Craig.

the 250 M is also perfect for woodwork. But we do not recommend to apply bare plaster with this device. Or do you mean emulsion paint on bare plaster? That would work..

My 350r is leaking from underneath andnout.of warranty. What could be the cause?
Hi Craig, I’m wanting to paint the inside of my double garage (concrete block )walls. Got some sandtex smooth masonry paint but god it’s a pain 🙁. Would one of these Wagner sprayers do the trick? Would it need thinning or anything?
Yes Ive used smooth Sandbox before, as long as there is no sand/grit in the paint
What about painting a new wall? I mean a new house? Should I first apply primer and than the paint for the wall? What would be your advise for the new house wall? Thanks a lot!
You can certainly use your Wagner to paint bare plastered walls, I've done it hundreds of times, I normally dilute my first coat of paint for bare plaster by around 20% even 25% with some very thick paints, By the time you've sprayed a couple of rooms you can start to apply your second coat as it drys very quickly, which makes the overall job so much faster to complete.

Will the Wagner ControlPro130 work with oil based paints? I was told oil paint shouldn't come in contact with hot motors, so its important that the motor is enclosed... Is the 130 model safe?

Hi, I have a 250 model, and it comes with the to filters, red and white.
But in all demos i have seen online, no one use those. Do you have any recommendation for those filters? Is better to use those anyway, or is not needed for standard water based wall paint? Thanks in advance.

Hey, I'm interested in getting one.
Is the 150M model suitable for spraying wooden staircase spindles (40mm width) and handrail? ( I would be using a water based satin finish paint). If so, which tip would you recommend for this purpose?
Hello with the Control Pro 150M you can't adjust the spray pressure so there would be too much material for a delicate job like that. The Control Pro 250M or 350M does allow you to change the spray pressure so you can reduce it down and then use a suitable Tip e.g. a 211 and this would give you a perfect finish. what sprayer do you use for painting walls of living room and bedrooms
All of these sprayers would be suitable for that - it just depends how many walls and bedrooms you are spraying and on your budget

Hello Michael there is a cleaning section here: ua-cam.com/video/W0ElGizKWvA/v-deo.html if you are using oil based paint you would need to use white spirit or whatever the paint manufacturer recommends to clean it with. For any contractor work you are better off looking at our contractor range which has access to the purple Fine Finish tips for spraying woodwork. The PP90 Skid is a perfect entry level airless sprayer for this.

The 150M is suitable for smooth masonry paint. Please adhere to the paint manufacturer's instructions. It may be necessary to dilute. Thanks!
Is there a shorter airless hose than the 15meters hose for the wagner project pro 119? Only need 5-7m for painting small furniture. Long hose means losing expensive material in the hose after each job.
Hello It is possible to go down to 7.5 metre but this hose is only DN4 which is narrower than the 15 metre DN6 that comes with the unit so would not be suitable if using thicker products like emulsions. The product you need is a part number 9984573. It is not possible to go any shorter than that due to pulsation & minimum requirements for earthing, safety etc Kind Regards WAGNER DIY.
Does Wagner Pro 130 work with Behr Marquee (application 0.015-0.019) with a 515 tip or have any issues?
Hi P. If the advice from Behr is to spray using a 0.015-0.019 tip then you may have problems being at the lower end using the 515. You may just find that you need to thin the paint more because of the slight restriction on the tip size as well as the entry-level power of the 130 model (you would be better off with a Wagner PP90 or if you are in American then look into our sister company - www.titantool.com/ ). Looks a great bit of kit I purchased the w690 flexio from screwfix started of great after 20- 30 mins
of the 1st use painting the fence the machine popped. Was going to upgrade to the 350m but to many bad reviews that they don't last long at all. Looking for an alternative and don't mind spend a few more bucks to get the reliability.

Is the 350M and 250M machines good for fence panel paint? Or will the fence panel paint such as Ronseal One Coat Fence Life need diluting?
The Control Pro machines will be able to spray fence treatments undiluted thanks to their powerful piston pumps.

Can I purchase the smaller hose separately. I have the 15m hose with the 350M and I find it holds too much paint. Especially when the paint tins are smaller.

Hello We would not recommend using the Control Pro range for spraying masonry paint as the tips supplied with this machine are to small and are likely to block and you would ideally need a more powerful machine for covering large external surfaces particularly if you were spray to a height from the ground. @@WAGNERUnitedKingdom Many thanks for the reply and info. The only problem with the PP90 is that it's not really a cost effective option for the homeowner. For £1,200 I could have my whole home including garage and garden walls done by a professional, and that includes paint. I'm sure the PP90 is worth it for a professional, but there's definitely gap in your product range for DIY users wanting to use masonry paint. Perhaps something your R&D team might want to consider?
I’m using durable Matt for internal walls, will I need to water it down first?
If it is water-based then you can use water. We recommend to test the material first to see how well it sprays. If you are not achieving a fine spray pattern then you can dilute. Another top tip is to spray paint when it is warm so if it's cold outside then store the paint in a warm room for around 24hrs before using it.

What's the difference between the R and M versions?
It appears that the M stands for Metal whereas the R stands for Resin and basically relates to the build materials, you'll notice that the R variant has a black plastic look to it whereas the M is clearly a metal construction.

Can not believe they stated to use a dust mask when spraying paint! A respirator is a must when spraying paint unless you do not care about your lungs!
It kills me all these videos they show people were in a dust mask and,n 95 dusk mask that is not used for spray paint it's a dust mask why don't they use a regular automotive respirator
Can you paint a 6 panel door in under 20 seconds??? No. You can paint one side of a six panel door in under 20 seconds.

Not everyone's a pro painter, man :) - sprayers like this make it possible for average people to get a nice finish.
And eh.. The true speed difference is noticable when painting all the walls and ceilings in a house..
(As well as the tremendous cost savings when it comes to the paint itself. Usually you get better coverage with 2 thin layers than with a roller.
Plus.. Corners are actually fun to do with these things :))
