Crazy how excellent both of these cameras are, such minor differences. Personally I think the colors and quality of the Ace Pro 2 is a little better, but I really like the smaller size and weight on the DJI so that’s a determining factor for me
Good comparison, these new Action Cameras all seem to look great. And have many of the same features. But I prefer the 10 bit color of the Action 5 Pro and ability to shoot and edit in D-LOG M. Great video Shawn, and thanks for sharing.
On the go editing on mobile is so nice though....the difference in footage isn't enough to sway Better low light, better still photos, 8k footage, better on board mic. I can put my footage into topaz and match anything on the action 5!! Better options and better menu also on the AP2. And actually the footage is sharper on the AP2

Just from the side by side comparisons, it seems to me the Ace Pro2 has more vibrancy and definition. But it really comes down to what pleases the individual user. Both are outstanding action cameras. Compared to camcorders from the past, there is no comparison.
I just bought the action 4 two days ago. The adventure bundle was only 303! Came with 3 batteries & a 3 battery charging system and many little add ons. I couldn't justify paying 100+ more for the action 5 camera.

He contactado 2 veces con el servicio posventa y la única solución que me ofrecen es devolverme el dinero. Piden disculpas y dicen que están haciendo lo posible por solucionar la espera. Les pregunté si la tardanza era por el problema de empañamiento de la lente interna, y como ya intuyeron que estaba informado me respondieron que cualquier problema aislado sería resuelto con rapidez, pero sin reconocer en ningún momento que han tenido un serio contratiempo para la retirada temporal de la venta. Thanks for your unbiased review. The review really shows the slight differences in image quality, as the ace pro gives better details. The one thing that is not mentioned concerning the ace pro is the live view remote that can be purchased separately. Even if all things about each camera was equal I would still lean toward the ace pro for the live remote capability. I mount the remote on my handlebar for live view framing while cycling and on my wrist when conducting water sports. I don’t purchase any action camera that does not have a live view remote, and that’s why I stuck with Sony action cams for so long. The other thing that is very important between the two cameras is the zoom capability. There is really only one clear choice for me when considering these two cameras for my use cases. Thanks 🙏🏾
5:55 - Look at the Dinosaur neon sign, the Ace Pro 2 still out perform in low light. It has no shaking/jittering/lagging (or whatever you may call) effect when moving.

Both are great. Last year i got the first ace pro and have been very happy with it. Never had a single issue, great footage

Sorry but the Ace Pro 2 does not need the adapter. You can plug usbc mics right in.

The ace pro 2 isn't even available... It's the most exciting camera of the year... Yea right.. The camera is having issues but insta360 won't admit it
I got mine from Best buy....tried them both and just the app and features alone the insta 360 smokes it ....and still pictures also

No. I just got one yesterday and it had to download a new firmware to start. Gooros are the same though.

@MattyDemello I agree! I used the extra to kit it out with screen protectors, carrying case and ulanzi magnetic clip.
They are both so good... Now I'm stressed out! 😂

At the moment only the DJI action 5 pro is available. The insta360 ace pro2 is nowhere to be found ! Disappointing.
I think it can be ordered directly from their website now they were waiting for more production

I would like the DJI if not for the terrible way the clouds look with it. They look like a gray blob while the Insta360 shows a lot of detail in them.
Are you testing action 5with latest firmware? I saw a test video demonstrating a slightly better quality video from the updated firmware

every time the camera move, action 5 get shadow change darker. that is very bad. also, it looks more dim. I think problem with auto white balance
OA5 totally loser, look at the cloud detail can't compete at all, I doubt even AP1 is better than OA5..
